Everything you need to know about the Pokémon Expansion Pass

The eighth generation of Pokemon Pokemon Sword and Shield Is getting a DLC (downloadable content) this year which completely breaks their tradition of coming out with updated versions of the game. For example Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. They announced an expansion pass called “The Isle of Armor” and “The Crown Tundra” On “Pokemon Direct” which brings Pokedex anger because in the expansion pass there will be over 200 pokemon added bringing back old Pokemon and completely new Pokemon. This can also get fans angry because they are trying to complete the Pokedex but adding another 200 Pokemon including like 30 extremely rare legendaries makes things a lot harder. The expansion pass includes two parts: Part one is The Isle of Armor and part two is The Crown Tundra

    The Isle of Armor

The Isle of Armor is where you and your Pokemon train to be the best with your mentor “Mustard”. Mustard was a former Champion and mentor of Champion Leon. You will also be training alongside the legendary Pokemon “Kubfu ” and as you train with him he will evolve into Urshifu. Urshifu has 2 forms Single-Strike Style which is Fighting/ Dark-type and Rapid-Strike Style and it is a Water Type. Urshifu also has a Gigantmax form and its color depends on its style. (Single Strike style is red and Rapid Strike style is blue). I’ve personally noticed that they have two dojo’s A red and a blue dojo. I infer that whatever dojo you train your Kubfu in that determines it’s evolution style.

*Gigantimax Urshifu both forms

The second part of the expansion pass is called “The Crown Tundra”. The Crown Tundra is based off of exploration. It has a whole new map and includes all legendary Pokemon. And the three legendary birds (Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos) get a whole new galarian form and even changes their types. Zapdos used to be electric but now it is electric and ground type. Moltres used to be fire type but is now fire and dark type. And Articuno used to be ice type but is now ice and psychic.

The Regi’s

There are also two completely new Pokemon and will join the Regi Family along with, Regice, Regirock, Registeel, and Regigigas. We don’t exactly know the names of the new legendary’s but everyone is assuming its names are Regilectric and Regiragon. And it hasn’t been confirmed that they are Regi’s but there are some visual clues that prove that they are Regi’s. The main reason why fans believe that the two new Pokémon are Regis is that they have a similar body structure as the other Regis. They have a big torso with little arms and legs sticking out. They also appear to be made up of two elementals. One of them looks like pure electricity, whereas the other looks like a big red ball with a dragon head sticking out of its sides. The dragon arms make it seem as if that Regi will use dragon-powers, and will be a dragon-type Pokémon. However, the biggest giveaway for them being Regis is the fact that they have a series of dots on their faces that look similar to the dots found in the other Regis.

After showing the teaser of the two Regis Pokemon it revealed a temple split in half with both of these Pokemon’s colors and same organization of dots that correspond with the correct Regis colors. Some Theories say each Regi is a Pokemon exclusive.

New customization

In the reveal trailer, they showed new clothing that was Japanese style. But this didn’t get me too excited until I realized that you will be able to customize your Rotom Bike too. There is also a theory that you will be able to customize your Dynamax band. I’m excited to flex a golden Dynamax band to my friends. Also, there will be new backpacks which are very special because before you had a huge rectangle box on your back. Now you can have an actual backpack.

The Isle of Armor (Part one) Releases Fall 2020 will you buy it? Because I definitely will.
