Spongebob Squarepants, the best cartoon ever?

Spongebob Squarepants was a nickelodeon cartoon that started in 1999 by Stephen Hillenburg (R.I.P) and now has 12 seasons with no end in sight. It has won many awards and has been critically acclaimed since its first season, and was gaining massive popularity by season 2.  Everybody knows who Spongebob is, you don’t have to have ever seen the show, you really don’t even have to have a TV. Unless you live in Africa or something you probably know who SpongeBob is. It is widely regarded as the best cartoon ever made, and I completely agree with that, here’s why…

Spongebob has had a bigger impact on the world than pretty much any other cartoon. Whether it be through iconic lines that people like to say, the fact that they have made 3 movies based on the show alone. The fact that it got its own broadway musical, or purely because of the meme value of the whole show. I mean can you think of any show that has spawned more memes than Spongebob, probably not, and that’s because it has so much material that is so good, it can be named into oblivion. Just simple screenshots with captions can make good memes, but you can do that with any show, but it’s much more popular with SpongeBob because so many people grew up watching it, so it resonates with more people. Just think of the primitive SpongeBob, the “ight imma head out” the “no this is Patrick” and the ever-iconic “Spongeboy me bob!” many others that are just simple screenshots that can be made into pretty much anything you can think of.

Besides the memes, the show itself is a comedic goldmine. With 262 episodes, all of them have some DANK content, and the rewatchability value is insane with this show, with episodes such as “Pizza Delivery,” “DoodleBob,” “SB-129,” the list goes on and on. But how did it all start you ask, well let me tell you..

According to the original creator of SpongeBob, Stephen Hillenburg, he first came up with the idea that would eventually become SpongeBob while teaching marine biology at the Ocean Institute in California in the 1980s. To help teach young students visiting the Institute about the various animals that lived in the Institute’s tidal pools, he created a comic book titled “The Intertidal Zone” that featured numerous anthropomorphic sea creatures that would serve as the basis for many later SpongeBob characters, including the main character called Bob the Sponge. He liked sponges because they were the “oddest of all the sea creatures” but he didn’t like the lumpy brown sponge that was “bob the sponge” in his original comic, so he made him into a nice square, a bright yellow sponge that we now know as “Spongebob”.

Despite the high quality of the comic, both in terms of content and art (Hillenburg majored in marine biology with a minor in art at college), it never really went anywhere, though Hillenburg did pitch it to a number of publishers. Just none of them were interested.

However, creating the comic did ignite a spark in Hillenburg who realized that he enjoyed art way more than he enjoyed marine biology. As such, he made the decision to return to college to pursue a master’s degree in animation, despite earlier reservations about art not being a smart career choice.

After graduating with a degree in experimental animation, Hillenburg met the creator of the cult shows Rocko’s Modern Life at an animation festival. He subsequently offered Hillenburg a job after the two hit it off and the quality of Hillenburg’s portfolio became apparent.

While working as the director and occasional producer, storyboard artist and writer for Rocko’s Modern Life, Hillenburg met and became close friends with voice actor Tom Kenny, who would later voice SpongeBob. According to a recent interview with Hillenburg, he made the decision to cast Kenny as the voice of SpongeBob moments after meeting him.

Now let’s get into some random facts about SpongeBob to get a better understanding of the decisions of the show and why they were made. First off, SpongeBob lives in a pineapple because pineapples are a common motif in Polynesian crafts. In addition, Hillenburg says he thought SpongeBob “would like the smell” of a pineapple home. Smell is a very important sense for sea animals. Next, SpongeBob was originally named SpongeBoy. However, that name was already trademarked, (legally owned by someone else). Also, Tom Kenny, who does the voice of SpongeBob, says his character’s laugh was meant to make viewers think of the ocean. It is based on the distinctive call of a dolphin, with just a touch of a seagull’s shriek. Another cool fact is that according to SpongeBob’s driver’s license, he was born on July 14, 1986. But he was already living on his own—and trying to get a job at the Krusty Krab—when the SpongeBob show debuted in 1999. Also, the recipe for Krabby Patties is a well-guarded secret, but creator Hillenburg has hinted that these mystery burgers may be vegetarian. Otherwise, some inhabitants of Bikini Bottom would-be cannibals.

Halo Master Chief Collection Coming to Steam

Halo has always been an Xbox exclusive, but now we get to see the best game series be combined with the best platform to play it on. Yes, Halo is finally coming to glorious PC master race, except it’s not coming all at once, all of the games will be released on steam throughout 2020, and it’s all leading up to the end of the year when HALO INFINITE comes out and blows our nuts off with its glorious high frame rate and peak performance found on PC, the master race.

Specific Release Date

So, you may be wondering when are they going to be released, give me the Specifics. Well, I’m sorry to disappoint you,  but there are no specific release dates yet. But what we do know is that they will be released throughout 2020 until Christmas time when Halo Infinite comes out, so if you want to do the math and figure out when the games will each come out, then you can just do 365 ÷ 4 (91.25) and then we can determine when each game will be most likely to come out. So starting on January 1st, then going 91 days into the year, and then again, and again, and so on and so forth.

Conclusion

Halo has always been a favorite of many, but when they discovered the PC, they wanted to play their favorite games on their favorite platform to play them on, and now many people’s (including mine) dream of combining the best game series on the best platform is finally here, or at least it will be by the end of 2020.

Le Monke, the Worlds Holiest Meme?

Le Monke is a meme that transcends time with how frequently it comes back as being funny, fading into irrelevance, only to come back once again when no one was expecting it. This has made many people, (myself included) refer to Le Monke as a holy meme, one that can never be killed and pops up unexpectedly on our 4chan boards, and before you know it, it’s the biggest meme of that entire month.

Le Monke has been controversial with its greatness, with dumb plebs that write articles such as ¨le monke is trash¨, and ¨Le Monke is another pointless and unfunny meme¨, and say things like ¨omg its so pointless just some dumb monkey¨. But big brain 42069 IQ people such as myself would laugh at these normie, skin deep analyses of such disgusting mischaracterization of the great Le Monke.

The origin of Le Monke goes back to a picture of an australian monkey that someone photoshopped a face onto, and this picture was a goldmine for some DANK memes. It is most famous for the ¨uh oh stinky¨ meme, in which a manchild like voice spews random words about poop and other things as such. But Le Monke is much more than that, it is a symbol of humor that defies normies with multiple layers of irony.

In conclusion, Le Monke is a great meme that you need to know and send it to all of your friends and family and send it to your grandma if you have to.

A man has fallen into the river in Lego City

A man has fallen into the river in Lego city

A man has fallen into a river in Lego city, is a meme that most people have heard by now (as long as your not a normie), and is in my opinion, the best meme in 2020 so far, especially considering that it is an early year meme, which usually suck. But this meme is changing the game, and today, we are going to dive into this meme head first, and see what we find.

Origin

The origin of this meme comes from an old Lego city commercial from 2009 where they promptly say ¨a man has fallen into the river in Lego city! Start the new rescue helicopter! Hey! Build the helicopter and off to the rescue. Prepare the lifeline, etc…¨, it is a truly beautiful commercial and definitely a work of art, but it has taken 11 years for people to discover it and turn it into what it is today, and it definitely paid off. Not only is it a hilarious meme but it is nostalgia for many people that grew up watching LEGO CITY commercials, so it is even better.

 The Memes

Well this was just waiting to be memed with its glorious exclamation of a man falling into a river in Lego city, there is a lot of material to work with here. There have been greats such as ¨a man has fallen into a river in Lego city but they just leave him there¨ and deep philosophical ones such as ¨a man has fallen into a river in Lego city, but why?¨ in which the creator of the meme goes into a deep dive of why this man fell into a river in Lego city, and what they can do to get him out. There are many great memes and I have only scratched the surface of these memes, and there are many more great ones out there.

Big Man Tyrone

Big man Tyrone is the supreme dictator of Kekistan, and a contributor to the ¨man has fallen into a river in Lego city” memes, in his glorious creation called ¨a man has fallen into the river in Minecraft city” in which big man Tyrone explains the fatal story of a man falling into a river, but instead of Lego city, its Minecraft city. In this tale that big man Tyrone tells, it does not end nice and happy like it does in the Lego city commercials, it ends with another man dropping some TNT onto the man in the river, to end his suffering. A truly tragic tale.

Conclusion

¨A man has fallen into a river in Lego city¨ is a great meme, and marks the start of this new decade on a high note. It is truly an amazing meme.
