Police ID husband, wife killed by intruder overnight In West Jordan
WEST JORDAN-Police are investigating a double homicide that occurred overnight.
On Saturday night around 1:15 an intruder came and killed the couple Tony and Katherine Butterfield. Ages of 30 and 31 were seen dead in their home. Police are looking for the killer. They believe that the killer made a forced entry into the home.
The West Jordan police received a call around 1:15 am saying possible gunshots near 3200 west and 6900 south.
‘’They found a man who was deceased in the backyard.’’ It appears that he had one visible gunshot womb. Police found another victim who is female inside the home.
Holt said He said it appears a door had been kicked in at the home. There were also three children under the age of five years old who were home,When this occurred but none of them were threatened or hurt. The children are at home safe with family.
“We do believe that there was some type of altercation between the suspect and one of those two homicide victims,Holt. He said the killer may have been injured with a knife during the altercation.’’
Police say that the indurder had no criminal history that they know of.“We hold no ill-will towards the perpetrator(s) and pray for them and their families,” the statement continues.¨We are grateful for the immediate and professional work of the West Jordan Police and other investigators, and are confident in their abilities to bring this case to resolution¨

‘’WEST JORDAN — A man wanted in connection with a double homicide of a young West Jordan couple was arrested in California Wednesday morning, police said.’’
Albert Enoch Johnson, Age of 31 Got arrested and put into the San Joaquin County Jail. For killing the couple Tony and Katherine Butterfiled. In west Jordan on a Saturday night around 1:15 am.
Johnson was put into the San Joaquin county jail around 2 am. He got some injuries while doing this. Including cuts and bruises to the face. And his eye swollen shut. But he had no law enforcement officers injured.
Holt doesn’t know if the weapon that was used is still in the house or if it has been recovered.
Police said that he had known the Butterfields. He did not go into detail on how he knew them. But they do believe that this homicide was not random.
Johnson’s wife Sina age of 29, was arrested on Monday on investigation of obstruction of justice and tampering with evidence.
