Animal Conservation: How We’re Saving the Planet one Day at a Time

Animal Conservation: How We’re Saving the Planet one Day at a Time

If you’ve ever seen an article on endangered animals or a photo of a sad animal you might have thought about how sad it is to see these cute creatures struggling to survive it will give you hope to see that from animal conservationists, celebrities and just normal people we the world are trying to saving these animals from extinction every day.

One thing you probably didn’t know about is how hunting is saving animal populations. Hunters are one of the many ways we control illness in herds of animals. Hunters contribute to the conservation of healthy wildlife populations, habitats and ecosystems.US wildlife hunting and fishing organizations estimates hunters spent more than $1 billion on hunting licenses in 2022 and contributed an additional $283 million in dues to animal conservation people don’t know that when you buy gear or ammo more than half of the money goes to conservation efforts.

Another way animal conservation is being helped is by zoos. Zoos often take in sick or endangered animals to help get them back to the wild or repopulate species. For instance the Australia zoo has ultimately some of the best conservation missions in the world. With research programs and rescue units they are such a great example of animal conservation and education click here to learn more.

Animal conservationist! Some of the best conservationists, The Irwin family for instance, through the Australia Zoo and Wildlife Warriors program every day they work to help our animals around the world, and David Attenborough, with his support for World Land Trust International, are prominent animal conservationists who inspire and educate the public on wildlife and environmental issues. Attenborough, in particular, uses his work to raise public awareness and drive initiatives to protect the natural world.

There are many ways you can also contribute to animal conservation. Some ways you can help are planting native species or helping the zoo or aquarium or donating to conservation programs. Animal conservation programs are always in need of donations and just a little amount is always a big help to donate now to the animals in need. Also at many zoos and aquariums you can adopt an animal to help and take care of that animal.

Animal conservation is one of the most overlooked but important missions of the world. It’s very important and many people spend lots of time and dedication on this journey. Not very many people realize the dangers of losing some our animals on the planet for instance whales if we lose whales  this will disrupt marine food webs, potentially leading to a collapse of entire ecosystems, a decrease in phytoplankton production (which generates up to 50% of the Earth’s oxygen), and an increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide.

It’s heart breaking to see the ways these animals are dying every day, deforestation is a huge cause and it’s taking away animal habitats at the same time Also pollution is taking away our animals fresh air, water and clean habitats, it’s harming our wildlife directly and needs to be stopped. Luckily there are ways we can stop this by producing less plastics creating reserves for animals and creating less crops in wildlife areas.

Animal conservation is one of the most important conservation movements in the world. Together we are working to save the wildlife of the world and save these beautiful creatures that surround us. There are so many things to learn and do and to help with. We hope our voice is heard so that everyone will see our mission.

Some of the World’s Most Deadliest Sea Creatures

Some of the World’s Most Deadliest Sea Creatures

These are some of the deadliest sea creatures in the world. This is about how deadly they are and where they are located on the earth. Some might not seem harmful but they have a powerful venom punch. So be careful the next time you go to the beach.

Box jellyfish

These grocery bag looking fish are cool but also very venomous. Box jellyfish live in warm coastal waters around the world. Their tentacles can reach up to 3m long! It doesn’t seem that long but that is over 9 feet! Their venom can cause people to die of heart failure, and they are one of the most venomous sea creatures. There are between 40 and 100 deaths a year.

Beaked Sea Snake

These slithering sea snakes are found in the Arabian Sea, Persian Gulf, south of the Seychelles, Madagascar, the seas of South Asia and Southeast Asia. These creatures hold a powerful toxin. This toxin can cause paralysis and can lead to respiratory failure. Bites from this snake are rare, because of their non-aggressive attitude to humans. Though they are considered aggressive. Most bites from them are from fishers trying to untangle them from their nets.

Cone snail

Cone snails are small but mighty. They live in shallow water near coral reefs but they also hide in sand. They hunt by sending out a hollow venom filled harpoon. 30 deaths are ever recorded, and none are anti-venom. So be careful when you pick up snail shells at the beach.

Stone Fish

These stone looking fish are practically invisible. They live in the Indo-Pacific Ocean, Red Sea, East Africa, French Polnesia, Ryukyu and Ogasawara islands, Australia. These fish have defensive dorsal spines that can release a powerful venom if they are disturbed. If you get poisoned by this fish it can lead to death. So be careful when you go swimming in the ocean.

Blue-ringed Octopus

They might look beautiful but they have one of the most potent venom in the sea. Blue ringed octopuses live in the Sea of Japan, Waters of southern Australia, The Philippines and Vanuatu. They have salivary glands that produce tetrodotoxin which is another poison. They disperse the venom throughout their body as a defense mechanism. This venom can cause paralysis. Injuries to humans are from being bitten and by accidentally eating it.

Puffer Fish

Puffer fish are found in marine habitats, some can be found in freshwater rivers in Southeast Asia, South America, and Africa. They are neurotoxic when consumed. They are on Japanese menus as “fugu”. Chefs have to be specialty trained to properly prepare puffer fish to serve it in their restaurant. Why these creatures are deadly is because of food poisoning if they are not properly prepared for people to eat. Most of this food poisoning comes from people catching them and preparing it themselves without the proper training.

Stingray

Stingrays are a beautiful fish that live in the Pacific and western Atlantic. Stingrays have venomous barbs on their tail. When they are disturbed they will move their tail. Being attacked by one is a very small chance but they have been known to attack people who have disturbed them.

Saltwater Crocodile

Saltwater crocodiles live in India’s east coast, Southeast Asia and the Sudaic region to northern Australia and Micronesia. They have the strongest bite in the animal world. They are aggressive when they are defending their territory. There have been 47 attacks on humans in Queensland Australia, between 1985 and July 2023. 13 of these have ended in a fatality.

Great White Shark

Great white sharks live in South Africa, Australia/New Zealand, the North Atlantic, and Northeastern Pacific. Out of 949 confirmed unprovoked attacks by sharks on humans ever recorded, 351 were by great whites. 59 of these attacks were fatal. There were only 108 unprovoked attacks in 2022. 32 bites came from situations where sharks reacted to harassment of which only 9 were fatal.

Lion Fish

Lion fish live coral reefs in the tropical water of the South Pacific and Indian Ocean. These fish have over a dozen spines with powerful venom that causes extreme pain. Some rare cases include paralysis, shortness of breath and nausea. They are not known to attack people but injuries do occur when people get too close.

After learning about how these are some of the deadliest sea creatures in the world. Also how deadly they are and where they are located on the earth. Will you be able to still go to the beach?

How Smart is a Rotting Brain:TWD

How Smart is a Rotting Brain:TWD

In the Walking Dead universe, we very quickly become familiar with “Walkers”, the zombies of this story. When A person dies in this universe they reanimate as a Walker and start attacking people without hesitation.

One thing about these monsters is their mysterious intelligence. Looking at the First Walking Dead compendium for the sake of simplicity. We see many events involving these beasts’ intelligence. Firstly we see very clear signs of limited recognition in which people are walking with the zombies undetected by covering their bodies in the entrails of a freshly killed walker, The zombies were unable to detect them because of the smell but once it wore off then they began to act hostile again suggesting that the Walkers can change perception based on new knowledge.

They also can recognize sources of food and even linger where they know food is such as hospitals and prisons. Some more unclear signs could be hearing recognition, mild speech, or group-based hunting. However, something very big we see is the act of someone “taming a zombie”. A good chunk into the book we meet a character named The “Governor” who is seen lingering with his family of zombies, he brings them food, and even tries to treat them like living people and it works. They seem to recognize that he brings them food and as such they don’t kill him but instead mind their own business and even show a small amount of submission toward him.

Looking at all of these points it seems fair to say that these creatures display very limited learning abilities, recognition via scents, familiarity with sources of food, and even a very very little amount of obedience or even symbiosis. Even though these feats sound respectable they are still outweighed by mental weaknesses such as almost no spatial awareness as they run into everything, inability to recognize threats with the number of times they walk up to someone and get slaughtered immediately, no sense of problem-solving abilities, and no concept of association that isn’t connected to food giving these creatures an intelligence level similar to a koala or cane toad which isn’t exactly very smart.

By coincidence however there is another much more interesting connection to intelligence, The Ophiocordyceps Unilateralis also known as the zombie ant fungus has strangely familiar connections to the behavior of these rotting beasts. The zombie ant fungus works by infesting the minds of worker ants through airborne spores, after the ant is infected it will become controlled by the fungus leading to the ant climbing above the nest from either a tree or some other stilt, The ant then becomes immobile and is consumed by the newly sprouted mushroom so that the cycle may repeat itself. Very Strange.

What’s Happening to the Ocean

What’s Happening to the Ocean

Have you ever been to the beach during the colder months and noticed how peaceful and quiet it is? While it may not be as crowded as during the summer, the ocean and beach still need our help all year round. Did you know that cleaning up during the winter, spring, and fall is just as important as during the peak beach season?

You see, the ocean is a beautiful place full of amazing creatures like dolphins, sea turtles, and colorful fish. But when we leave our trash behind, it can harm these creatures and their homes. Plastic bags can look like jellyfish to sea turtles, and they can eat them by mistake. This can make them sick or even cause them to die. And when fish eat tiny bits of plastic, it can end up in our food, too!

Big bottle and a piece of cloth floating

That’s why it’s so important for us to clean up the ocean and beach during the winter, spring, and fall when fewer people are around. Just because it’s not the peak beach season doesn’t mean we can ignore the problem of ocean pollution. In fact, it’s even more important to clean up during these times because that’s when the beach is least popular.

But cleaning up the beach isn’t just about saving the animals,  it is also about taking care of our planet. The ocean provides us with so many things we need, like the air we breathe (yes, the ocean makes air. Look it up) and the food we eat. If we don’t start taking better care of it now, we could end up with a lot of problems in the future.

What Can We Do?

So, how can we help clean up the ocean and beach during the winter, spring, and fall? Well, one easy way is to join a beach cleanup event in your area. These events are usually organized by local groups or schools and are a great way to make a difference with your friends and family. You can pick up trash, collect recyclables, and learn more about why it’s so important to keep our oceans clean.

Another way to help is to reduce the amount of plastic you use in your everyday life. Instead of using plastic bags, bring a reusable tote when you go shopping. And if you see trash on the ground, pick it up and throw it away in a proper bin. Every little bit helps, and together we can make a big difference.

Cleaning up the ocean and beach during the winter, spring, and fall may not be as glamorous as doing it in the summer, but it’s just as important. By taking care of our planet all year round, we can ensure that future generations will be able to enjoy the beauty of the ocean and all that it has to offer.

Together, we can make a positive impact on our oceans and beaches. By spreading awareness about the importance of cleaning up year-round, we can help protect the environment and the creatures that call it home. Encourage your friends and family to join in and make a difference. Share information on social media, participate in local clean-up events, and educate others on how they can reduce their plastic consumption.

It’s up to us to take responsibility for our actions and make a commitment to protect our planet. Every small effort adds up, and together, we can create a cleaner and healthier environment for all. So let’s continue to show love and respect for our oceans and beaches, not just in the summer, but all year round. Let’s work together to make a difference and preserve the beauty of our planet for future generations to enjoy.

So, next time you visit the beach during the off-season, remember to take a few minutes to pick up any trash you see. The ocean and its creatures will thank you for it, and so will our planet. Let’s work together to keep our oceans clean and beautiful for years to come!

Around 87 exotic animals were being trafficked.

Around 87 exotic animals were being trafficked.

87 exotic animals were being trafficked. The people who were smuggling were caught in Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok. There were 6 people smuggling and going to Mumbai. It is pretty stupid to try to smuggle animals through a security checkpoint that could check your luggage.

The 6 people were 5 men and 1 woman trying to go out of the country to Mumbai which is in India. They are being arrested for trying to smuggle animals. Again, pretty dumb to smuggle exotic animals through a security checkpoint going out of the country.

The 87 animals were exotic and some of them were endangered. Some of the animals were a red panda, two monkeys, 29 lizards, 21 snakes, and rare birds, including a parrot, and a Sulawesi bear cuscus which is a type of rare marsupial which is native to indonesia.

All the animals were protected under a multilateral treaty called CITES which protects endangered animals and plants from illegal smuggling. This is good because if CITES wasn’t a thing then illegal animal smuggling would be more common in this world and that’s a bad thing.

In Thailand, which is where this is taking place, you could get up to 4 years of imprisonment.

Most of the animals were in small, clear plastic containers with tiny holes for the animals to breathe, as seen in this picture

Places like Thailand, China, Kenya, and the United Arab Emirates are sometimes major transit hubs for illegal animal smuggling. This issue should have a bigger consequence internationally because invasive species would be larger and could be a serious issue. There are many serious problems with invasive species. Some invasive tree pests can reduce carbon sequestration rates in forests. Aquatic invasives decrease the resilience of green infrastructure to resist flooding and sea-level rise. Another issue is that invasive species alter habitats.

Some issues of animal smuggling is that wildlife trade threatens the local ecosystem and puts all species under additional pressure at a time when they are facing threats such as over-fishing, pollution, dredging, deforestation and other forms of habitat destruction. Some of these issues can also be that animal trafficking in wildlife can diminish species populations and cause local or even global extinction. When endangered species are involved, any poaching or harvesting of that species to supply the illegal trade risks the species becoming extinct.

Animal snuggling can completely destroy animals whether it’s by their ecosystem and habitat, to the native animals way of surviving. “The early bird gets the word” is that the birds that wake up the earliest have the best chance of catching a good meal, since no other birds have awoken to pick for worms. The most likely actual meaning probably says that early people get a better chance than late people, but we’re gonna stick with the bird one. If the invasive species also eats worms, then who has to wake up earlier, the bird or the invasive species.

This also has impacts to an environment because if say a full grown cactus were to end up in a rain forest, then how would the cactus or the rainforest try to adapt to all of this, well it can’t because invasive species ruin other animals habitats, environments, and lifestyle. This is why we should try to do an international ban on animal smuggling. That way invasive animals don’t destroy other animals’ way of living and their lifestyle in the world.

Sharks

Sharks

One thing about Sharks is that mostly everybody thinks they are scary, hideous, bad creatures, but that really is not true if you look at all of the other shark breeds that there are in the world, so let me introduce you to Sharks.

Some sharks do seem scary like maybe the goblin shark, or the Great white shark because they are big and intimidating but the truth is that sharks don’t kill as many people as you might believe they do or as much as everybody says. Hippopotamus’s kill more than Sharks. The reason they attack people which is not common, is because they feel confused or they also can be feeling curious, which is obviously not an excuse for all shark attacks but it explains a lot. All these movies like “Jaws” or “Meg” have portrayed this sea life animal as the worst animal ever.

Sharks have been around for a very long time and they also help our ocean ecosystem because they are apex predators which means they are on top of the food chain and they help keep the ocean in check. Another reason sharks are important is because they help scientists understand the coastal ecosystem. If the whole shark population were to go extinct then the whole Ocean ecosystem would fall and be destroyed. That would be horrible for Earth.

Shark Attacks

There are a lot of different types of sharks found all over the world, it is believed to be over 500 species of sharks. A couple of those spices don’t attack as much and or often as others, for example the whale shark does not prey on humans nor does the leopard shark as people are not a part of their natural diet.

You see the reason as to why sharks attack humans sometimes, is because obviously a human is going to freak out if they see a shark. When a shark sees that happening they can think it’s other animals not humans and they might try to eat so that leads to an unprovoked attack.

Habitat

There are a couple of sharks that do not live in the usual Habitat like the river shark but one of those sharks is called the Bull shark. This Bull shark can live a long period of time in freshwater. However, most sharks live in Oceans across the world, usually in salt water. Sharks need to be living in a habitat that has water so that they can be able to survive and breath.

Those are things you need to know about sharks and their way of surviving.

Cats – what you didn’t know

Cats – what you didn’t know
We all know about the fantastic animals called cats. Well, there are many things that you didn’t know about these fantastic creatures. Come join me as we talk about this unknown creature. So to begin I want to talk about how cats and dogs are alike. First, cats and dogs both can be trained. Cats aren’t lazy animals doing whatever they want. My cat Willy knows a few tricks himself. I have taught him how to sit, shake with both paws, balance on his hind legs, spin in a circle, fist bump, and talk. A second way cats and dogs are alike would be that they can both be service animals. Dogs and cats can learn to help people with disabilities, mental illness, and extreme anxiety. Cats and dogs are capable of learning to be service animals. Third, cats and dogs share hunting instincts for their survival. In the wild, cats and dogs would hunt and scavenge to find food. Both cats and dogs have a strong prey instinct without ever needing to learn how to hunt.

Now I would like to mention the ways that cats and dogs are different. To start, cats and dogs both enjoy eating. But, cats need to ingest smaller and more frequent meals than dogs. It’s important to understand your pet’s nutritional needs. Next, dogs and cats have very different physical traits from one another. For example, dogs and cats both have claws but cats can pull in their claws and hide them. Dog’s claws stay out and can not go in. And finally, their life spans are different. Dogs usually live between 12 and 18 years. Cats usually live between 12 and 25 years. So cats can outlive dogs by a few good years. But remember, even though cats and dogs are different that doesn’t make either one of them better.

Did you know that cats actually have many hidden talents? We are about to go over some of those in this section. One of the many talents cats have is that they can calm their own anxiety! Even humans have a difficult time doing this. Cats like to lick their coats when they feel nervous, afraid, or anxious. Their tongues are very coarse and covered with papillae. These are tiny projections on the tongue’s surface that point backward. They’re made of the same stuff human fingernails have, called keratin. This substance is very tough and abrasive. That’s why their tongues feel like sandpaper, and why they can use them to comb their fur. Whenever they need to calm themselves they use their tongues. Another cool talent that cats have would be that cats purring sounds can help get rid of migraines. When the cat begins to purr, the steady rhythm of the purring helps to get rid of the pain and the headache. Stroking their fur helps to relax both the migraine sufferer and the cat. Sometimes cats know when their owners are not feeling well and will curl up beside them, or even right on top of them. Having a rest together relieves stress and can lower blood pressure. When a cat purrs, the migraine may disappear without the need for medication. A nice cat may very provide the solution to a problem bothering many for years.

We have finally reached the end of this great blog. Now that you know about what cats can do to help humans, other animals, and themselves, you won’t assume that cats are the worst. Cats need a chance just like anyone or anything else. Thanks for reading this article! I hope you now know more about our amazing furry friends.

Top five reasons why cats are the best pets

Top five reasons why cats are the best pets

While many people don’t, or can’t have pets, people struggle to make up their minds on what kind of pet they would like to own. There are so many choices such as birds, cats, dogs, chickens, bunnies, geckos, and many more. You may be thinking, so many choices, which to choose? Out of all of these animals, it all comes down to one, the cat. Cats are the best pets to own, and here are the top five reasons why.

Reason #1

Cats are very affordable. While dogs can be priced in the hundreds, and sometimes the thousands. Cats are typically sold at around $50-$100. Though some breeds of cats coming from certain breeders do cost closer to $300, but they are still typically cheap. Things such as food, litter boxes, toys, etc, also come relatively cheap. If you are looking to not have to constantly clean a litter box, some nice litter boxes come around $100, but the plain and standard litter box comes to a price around $20-$30. With that said cats can be pretty cheap and affordable.

Reason #2

Cats are naturally potty trained. Unlike dogs, birds, or other pets, you don’t have to train your cat to use the litter box. Cats have developed an instinct to go to the bathroom in the litter box on their own. Kittens will learn this from observing their mothers. A kitten will learn to use the litter box by the age of 3-4 weeks. This means by the time you get your little kitten they will be nearly, or all the way litter box trained. In the article How To Litter Train An Older Cat — Senior Cat Wellness it explains that if you buy a cat that has not been properly litter box trained it’s still possible to train them to use the litter box.

Reason #3

Cats can help reduce stress and anxiety. In the article How Cats Help Improve Mental Health | The Catnip Times states “ Cats are beneficial to us from a mental and physical health perspective. Because of cats’ ability to calm us, lower stress levels, and offer companionship they are great therapy animals.” Cats are known to be calming and relaxing animals. Studies have shown that cats have a subtle positive effect on us and our mental health.

Reason #4

Cats can keep your house and lawn free of rodents. Even hundreds of years ago cats were used to keep control of mice and rats. In the article Seafaring felines: Cats have long had adventures aboard ships it states, “Cats have a long history as crew members on boats, including ships. Ancient Egyptians carried them on boats to control infestations of mice and rats. Irish and British sailors used to believe that inviting a black cat on board ensured good luck on a journey.” Cats were often brought on ships to take care of rodents. In 1988 cats were still being brought on ships. Now they are no longer needed on the sea’s but they are always great for catching mice in your backyard.

Reason #5

Cats are very low maintenance. If you’re a person who can’t be home all day for work or you’re constantly going on vacations. Unlike a dog, cats don’t need to be petted all day and taken on walks twice a day. You can leave them alone for hours and they still are happy. If you have automatic feeders and water bowls you only need to take care of their meals once a week, the feeders will do the rest of the work.

Conclusion

In the end, Cats are some of the best types of pets. They are potty trained by the time they are 4 weeks old. Cats are very affordable; their cost ranges from $50-$100, with some cats pricing at around $300. Compared to dogs, that’s relatively cheap. They can reduce stress and anxiety of all ages. They are very calm and soothing. They can keep your house and lawn free of all rodents. They are also super low maintenance, you don’t have to spend hours and hours with them. Their constantly happy and great companions. It may not seem much like it but cats are the best pets you can find.

Lots of Animals are Going Extinct!

Tiger

Animalsaroundtheglobe says “There are now 41,415 species on the IUCN Red List, and 16,306 of them are endangered species threatened with extinction.” We all need to do our help to lower the endangered list.

5 endangered animals

#1: Javan Rhinoceros

There are less than 75 Javan Rhinoceros left around the world. These Rhinoceros live in Ujung Kulon National Park. They are dying off because of habitat loss, diseases being spread, and poaching. If u don’t know what poaching is, it is when people kill an animal illegally. Usually, the animals have something valuable like animal fur or teeth. Lots of animals are going extinct because of poaching.

 #2: Tigers

Tigers are endangered because of poaching, habitat loss, trading of tiger parts, global warming, and human conflict. If you see poaching please contact someone who can help. Such as the police or a park ranger. There are only 3890 tigers left in the wild. In some countries there are less than 200 hundred tigers but, over the last few years, the tiger population has risen. To find out more about the tiger population and what you can do go to Bring Back Tigers

 #3: Asian Elephants

Asian elephants are beautiful creatures. There are fewer than 50,000 due to being threatened by loss of habitat, habitat degradation, fragmentation, and poaching. They have been on the endangered list since 1986, around 35 years. Their numbers have dropped 50% over the last 75 years. They are located in and around India. They play an important role in their environment. They limited the growth of vegetation and spread the seeds of the plants they eat. Theweek.com says that the Asian Elephants will go extinct in around 12 years. So around 2033.

 #4: Bornean Orangutans

Bornean orangutans and Sumatran orangutans have lost their homes from the destruction of the rain forest. They usually live up in the trees so it might be hard to change to their new environment. They have been on the endangered list since 2008. That’s around 12 or 13 years. Over 13,000 Sumatran Orangutans left and 104,000 Bornean Orangutans left. They both live around the rain forests of Southeast Asian islands (Borneo and Sumatra). They play an important role in seed dispersal and keeping the forest at its best. If they were to disappear then a lot of plants and trees would disappear with it and some other animals that live in those trees and feed off those plants might even become endangered.

 #5: Mountain Gorillas

Mountain gorillas population is only 604 and all of them live in parks located in east-central Africa. They are going extinct mostly because of habitat loss, hunting, and diseases. Gorillafund.org says that gorillas play an important part in “dispersing seeds, letting in light, and shaping plant communities within the forest.” They also mention, “Protecting gorillas helps protect these other vital plants, animals, and insects as well.” so without gorillas, their habitat wouldn’t be the same.

With your help, we can help take all of these animals off the endangered list and help them stay off.

All About Dogs!

All About Dogs!

Have you ever wondered why people love dogs so much? Well, I might have an explanation for you. Here are 10 “amazing facts about dogs”.

Dogs smell

Dogs’ noses are amazing; they can smell so many things. Dogs’ noses are 40 times stronger than ours(humans). Dogs can sniff out way more things than humans such as drugs, people, and even money. Some dogs were trained to sniff out covid-19 because their noses were so amazing. Dogs can sniff at the same time breathing without having to take a break. They rely on their nose for so many things like to find food, potential dangers, and to find people. So it’s nice that they can sniff without having to take a break and being able to breathe.

Dog breeds

Lots of dogs are great swimmers but not all breeds were bred for swimming. Different dog breeds are bred for different things like hounds are bred for their keen sense of smell. Wall poodles like swimming. Their name poodle came from the German word spritzen which means to splash. In 1889 a german man bred 2 dogs to make a german shepherd “the perfect war dog”. Another breed is an Australian shepherd. Witch is bred for herding animals such as cows, and sheep.

Items to have if you get/ have a dog

Some items you should have if you get a dog are food and water bowls. A leash, collar, and dog tag with your phone number if your dog decides to go for a run. A crate that you can put a bed in for if you go on trips. Food which can be canned or dry (i suggest dry). Doggy shampoo and conditioner and maybe a doggy brush. And a doggy bed. for an inside dog, you should get dog pads for training. but for inside dogs that use the potty outside, there are bells that you can hang on your door and teach them to ring it when they have to use the potty. Of course, you can’t forget the treats to reward them when your dog is being a good boy/ girl.

What to do with a new puppy

When you first get a new puppy you must make him or her feel safe. For bedtime, have your new buddy sleep in a crate near your bed put a dog bed that fits, and put a blanket inside so it’s comfortable, and drape another blanket on top so it’s dark. Also, make sure you know who the primary caretaker of the dog is. You coils have one person be one month and then switch, or even a week at a time. Make sure you come up with some rules like are they allowed on the bed, can they run around in the house, what rooms can they not go in, what room can they not go in, and other rules like that.

How fast can dogs run

Dogs can run fast if you run a race between you and your dog would easily beat you. A dog is made to run and chase. The fastest dog by far is a greyhound. A greyhound can run up to 45 mph. The second fastest dog is a german shepherd, which can run up to 30 mph. The average dog can run from 15-20 mph for a short amount of time. But not all dogs can run that fast; some dogs are a lot slower. How fast a dog can run depends on its physical composure and its health and bread.

Dogs ears

Did you know that dogs have 18 muscles controlling their ears? These muscles help move their ears, even just slightly. Dogs’ ears can tell us about their feelings. My dog likes to “guard things” where she likes to protect things and we know when she’s doing this by first, her ears twitch slightly. And second by her trying to bite us.
