Reasons you should play Project Sekai [PJSK]

Reasons you should play Project Sekai [PJSK]

Reasons you should play Project Sekai [PJSK]

1. There’s vocaloid

If you don’t know what vocaloid is, it’s basically a singing voice synthesizer. So it’s like a robot singing, but it sounds cool, just trust me. And also, they have live concerts with the vocaloids! It’s pretty cool because they use holograms and stuff and this also applies to Project Sekai because there’s short shows where you can see your favorite characters perform songs you love.

2. There’s fun charts

If you don’t know what a ‘chart’ is, It’s basically how the notes are placed as you play the song.
For example, there’s this video of Egoist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ElFTNbi4Bk8
Sure, it might look difficult to do, but there are easier modes to play on like easy, normal and hard mode. Also, difficult songs like these are great for practicing to play on expert and eventually playing on master.

3. The characters in the game have lore

The characters in the game aren’t just there to make the songs and perform, but they have their own backstory and their groups have their own stories to go with them. For example, there’s many events that go on each year that focus on a certain group and provide some lore for that group. The lore for the characters are also very well thought out and do affect them later in their life and the other characters around them, not just being there to make you pity them.

4. The game has your favorite songs from vocaloid

If you are already familiar with vocaloid, then your favorite and popular songs are in the game! Perfect examples of this would be Aishite Aishite Aishite, The Intense Voice of Hatsune Miku as well as The End of Hatsune Miku, Ghost rule, Tell your world, World is Mine, Luka Luka Night Fever, and many, many more. Plus, new songs get released every week, and cover songs don’t get released as often but they’re just as amazing.

5. PJSK has a large fan-base

Ever since 2020, the game has been growing a huge and accepting fan-base where you can express yourself as much as you like. Although the fan-base isn’t perfect, but every fandom deals with this and usually people are very accepting of newer players and people who aren’t as good at the game.

6. It’s easy to get currency in PJSK

Despite Project Sekai being a gacha game, The cards are fairly easy to get and not to mention, absolutely beautiful. You can get currency by playing songs, show missions that if you complete, you can get 3,000 crystals. there are more missions in the normal tab where you can get a total of 1,050 crystals if you complete them all. Challenge shows are also a good option, and if you are a beginner player, there’s a beginner login campaign where you can get 300 crystals each day you log in for 13 days which totals to 3,900 crystals. There’s also 7 virtual shows offered to new players and if you watch them all, you can get another 2,100 crystals. If you read all the main stories for each unit in the game, you can get a total of 6,00 crystals because you get 50 crystals for each episode and there’s 120 episodes including all the units. How do I unlock the stories? You may be asking and you can clear live shows to unlock each episode. You can also read area conversations that give you 10 crystals each.

Roblox is not a appropriate game for kids

Roblox might look like a fun safe game for kids but it really is not. Roblox has content such as sex acts, killing, the idea of murder, nudity and most dangerous. You play Roblox online and can chat with adults trying to get your information, scam you and much more.

The games

Roblox is a game that has a ton of minnie games in that one game, but some of the games are not appropriate for kids at the age of seven to nine. For example, like i said before there are minnie games, such as shedletsky’s dirty place is not appropriate for young kids at all. Shedletsky’s Dirty Place is a Roblox sex game where Shedletsky tries to do very dirty games with you and the game targets the ages thirteen and below. Kids that have played this game have been reported getting very bad nightmares. Some other roblox games that are not appropriate are, survive the killer, shower simulator, dance clubs and much more . Surviving the killer is one of those games that have extreme violence. Shower simulator falls under a sexual minnie game not appropriate for kids and dance club games are okay but should be taken seriously because if you don’t have any parental control your kid can most likely talk and chat with people all around the world.

Your avatar

In a game you have to have a charter or yourself but when you are making your avatar you want to be careful because you can put on a body suit that makes you look naked. If parents are going to let their kid play roblox you have to restrict it and make sure you don’t have your credit card hooked up on the device. If you have your credit card hooked up to the device they’re playing on you can lose a lot of money because your kid is buying robux, what makes it worse is to buy robux all you have to do is push a few buttons and boom money, wasted.

Addict

Like some other games it is super easy for your kid to be stuck on Roblox and only play Roblox for their free time. To put things into perspective the more you’re on Roblox the more your mental health goes way down and they’re not out playing with friends and learning valuable collaboration skills and social skills. For example sometimes my brother has tantrums when he cant play Roblox or when something in his favorite minnie game is gone. When my brother started playing Roblox he was glued onto the screen for hours.

Kidnappers

A thirteen year old girl was kidnapped from an old man she made friends with on Roblox thinking he was her age. Thankfully she was returned home safely after police found her two days after missing and arrested the man named, Howard graham. Kidnapping is such a real thing that can happen when you are not careful on Roblox {there are also kidnapping minnie games in Roblox where the player has to kidnap innocent people.}

People

I have already touched this topic a bit in this review but there is more to just talking to people.  When you play with people and talk to them long enough you can be brainwashed and you can be making a friend  that back stabs you or just targets you for really inappropriate things.

Mental health

Mental health is the key for a good, nice future and when your kids’ mental health plumits because of sleep deprivation and horrific Roblox games this just makes their mental health worse. On the other hand when your kid is non stop playing Roblox that can make their mental and physical health worse. When your kids play Roblox all day they can stop wanting to go to school or do school, or hang out with friends unless they’re on Roblox too.

Conclusion

The conclusion of this whole article is of course roblox is bad for kids but like I have said before, roblox is just a dirty game you kids can get addicted to, lose mental health, they can meet very dangerous people and they can play dangerous games with adult content. Sum up this whole thing, roblox is bad and kids probably should not play roblox.

Rocket League: The Ultimate E-sport

Rocket League: The Ultimate E-sport

Rocket League

If someone mentions to you the name “Rocket League”, unless you have heard of the game, you will most likely think it’s a game that has “rockets” and it’s some sort of league. Nope, not even close.

Rocket League is a game that essentially could be named “car soccer”, let me explain. “Car soccer” is essentially a game where you are placed in the third-person view of a car. This car can do many things your normal car can’t such as; (double) jumping, flipping, boosting, and flying in the air.

The game arrived in stores for $20 in mid-2015 and was a small game. A sequel to the infamous game, with the infamous name, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. or SARPBC, try pronouncing that.

The entire game was placed inside a boxed-off stadium and had little “egg” people in the stands cheering and bouncing up and down. Customizable cars and goal explosions are also an option. These customizable items have different rarities, starting from uncommon, then going to rare, very rare, import, exotic, and finally, black market. The game’s currency is called “credits” and is $1 for 100 credits.

The game just recently went out in stores as “Free To Play” and that brought an UNHEARD amount of players, sometimes having over 1 million players online at a time! Since then the game has declined in popularity, but still racks in more players a day than before the game went free to play.

Mechanics

The game has many mechanics that involve such things as I mentioned before. The basics of these mechanics are:

  •  Ariels, hitting the ball while in the air
  •  Wave-dashes, front flipping before you hit the ground to propel yourself forward
  • Double taps, hitting the ball into the back wall of the opponents net
  • Air dribble, dribbling the ball in the air
  • Dribbles, carrying the ball on top of your car without it touching the ground
  • Flicks, flicking the ball while dribbling.

Now, these are the bare bones, almost anyone can do these things mechanics. Some of these are harder than others, but most anyone above the rank of platinum can do ALL (or should be able to).

Speaking of ranks, in the competitive playlist, depending on how good you are, the game will give you a rank. Every win you get, you get a certain amount of MMR (MatchMaking Rank). The higher in the ranks you go, the harder it gets, or longer it takes to get to that next rank. Ranks have levels to them, there is division 1-4, and different levels for the actual name of the rank.

Rankings (From worst to best)

  • Bronze 1 Division 1-4
  • Bronze 2 Division 1-4
  • Bronze 3 Division 1-4
  • Silver 1 Div 1-4
  • Silver 2 Div 1-4
  • Silver 3 Div 1-4
  • Platinum 1 Div 1-4
  • Platinum 2 Div 1-4
  • Platinum 3 Div 1-4
  • Diamond 1 Div 1-4
  • Diamond 2 Div 1-4
  • Diamond 3 Div 1-4
  • Champion 1 Div 1-4
  • Champion 2 Div 1-4
  • Champion 3 Div 1-4
  • Grand Champion 1 Div 1-4
  • Grand Champion 2 Div 1-4
  • Grand Champion 3 Div 1-4
  • Super Sonic Legend (Max)
  • Ranks.jpeg

A lot to take in, I know. But this is the thing you say when someone asks you, “What rank are you?”

The Pros

Now the juicy stuff, the actual Esports. Rocket League has had some form of Esport since the first year it came out (mid-2015) and has had many graphics, mechanic, and community changes. This includes changes to the pros, and their level of skill compared to the “Average Joe” Over time the number of pros has increased, and with that, it brought more and more teams.

Ranking the Many Fights in my Discord Server

Ranking the Many Fights in my Discord Server

Ranking the Many Fights in my Discord Server

I’d say the amount of bickering in my newest discord server is a lot more than it should be. With all of me and my friends’ contrasting backgrounds, fights are bound to happen. Today, I thought I would rank some of the arguments people have gotten into because they are actually really funny to look back on. I will rank them based on how entertained I was by them.

For background, there are 14 people in my server, including me, Jules, Ari, Livvy, Quinn, Nick, and Jullian. (Jullian is banned now, though.) I have blurred usernames, names, and even changed some names for privacy reasons.

  1. Jullian Sucks!

I think possibly the worst argument that isn’t even funny to look back on is when I banned Jullian for the second time. (Yes, he’s been kicked and banned multiple times, all within the same two-day period.) This argument happened because Jullian was abusing the admin perms I gave him. He was adding random, scary people into the server. One of the accounts he added was actually one of his alt accounts, so after I had banned his main and his weird friends’, he started to beg me to add his main back.

This fight started fun because I was really just having a good time messing with him. Here are some screenshots:

Screenshots of chats with Jullian.

It was all fun and games until a random person was added to the server, and they started mass spamming a racial slur. That was my last straw. I banned all of Jullian’s accounts, revoked his invites for the millionth time, and blocked him. My friends and I also removed him from our other group chat. What I hadn’t realized until after everything was over, was that he actually had threatened to add that last person, but I just hadn’t realized. Here is a screenshot of the threat that I didn’t put much thought into at first:

A screnshot of a message from Jullian where he says "I have the link new fresh copied."

This occurrence was very scary, and nobody in my server has talked to him since.

  1. “Heyyyy, Where You From, Man?”

Everyone in the server was talking, like usual, when randomly Quinn said “I think X (one of my nicknames) lives in either Denver or Salt Lake City.” Then this big thing started where I was like “girl, how did you limit my location down to those two places?” I didn’t confirm or deny what she was saying, but for a few weeks, Quinn, Jules, and Ari kept teasing and insisting that I lived in either Denver, CO, or SLC, UT.

Because I trust these girls and didn’t think they would be capable of doing anything with my information, I finally gave up and said “Alright, fine, I live in Utah.” I guess they hadn’t realized I had said this, because a few weeks later I told them about a concert I had been to and they looked up where the concert was and confronted me.

This was the only time I was laughing about the situation because I then watched them get into a fight about who asked who to google where it was, and try to embarrass one other about why they wanted to know.

Once Quinn finally figured out where I was from, she was willing to tell me how she narrowed it down to those two places. She said it was only because I stated what time it was for me once, and she then tried to think of what places are in that time zone. I was absolutely stunned that out of all the states and cities that go by Mountain Time, she only guessed two, and one of them was pretty close.

Screenshots of people on discord fighting about who googled my location.

  1. The Ones With Livvy

I had a hard time picking and choosing what fights to include on this list and where, and I think almost all the fights that I had been in with Livvy deserved to sit at number three.

Livvy is Jules’ younger sister, and because she’s younger than most of the people in the server, our opinions contrast each other a lot. Livvy and I tend to laugh at each other a lot and make fun of the dumb mistakes we make, but sometimes a little too harshly.

One of the fights that I look back on fondly is when Livvy and I found creative ways to call each other dumb and poke holes in each other’s points. Jules eventually had to break us apart. I’m thankful that this fight didn’t really hurt anyone and just felt like a game.

There was this other time though, where we both were being gate-keepy to Jules. Jules had changed her profile picture to an anime character right after all the guys in the server had said they liked anime. We got Jules to admit that she’s never watched anime and doesn’t have any interest in it either. I think Livvy started getting a little too gate keepy after a while, for someone who doesn’t watch anime herself. We then started feuding, but it all started fun.

  1. Who do I like more?

I’d say the second most entertaining (series of) fight(s) I had ever been involved in in my server was when Jules and Ari were trying to make me pick one of them. To be honest, I have no idea why they wanted to know, maybe they both had crushes on me? Anyways, the reason this argument (which honestly lasted a few days) was entertaining was because I was really just messing with them the whole time.

In the group chat that we were in before my server, we always played classic rounds of truth or dare. It felt like almost every other dare or question I got had something to do with asking one of the girls out or picking one of them. Before we had even talked on discord, one of Ari and Jules’ friends would not stop asking me to pick one of them too.

The funniest part of this whole thing was when I finally told everyone “I don’t like girls, lmao, so I pick neither of yall.” They both went silent after they learned this information, and stopped teasing each other about me.

  1. Mr. Steal Yo Girl

The story for this argument is about when Jules first started dating Nick. At the time, Nick wasn’t in our group chat or the server. Ari asked Nick if he wanted to join, and she made sure to mention me and Jullian being there. She then sent this series of screenshots to the group chat:

Screenshots of Ari telling Nick that some people may steal his girlfriend.

I could not stop laughing when I figured this out. He really thought I was gonna steal his girlfriend. To be honest, it all went to my head that someone thought I was a threat.

The arguments started because everyone was saying that Nick was being too overprotective.

A few days later, Ari sent these screenshots to the group chat:

Screenshots of Ari and Nick talking on discord.

That’s when I thought she was taking the joke too far, I didn’t think she should be messing with an insecure guy’s feelings this much. Luckily, Nick got her to crack and admit that it was a joke a few minutes later.

This was my favorite fight because of the chain of events that lead up to it, and because no one was really hurt in the end.

There were just so many fights and events that I could have included on this list, but I think I picked the best 5. What are the craziest fights you’ve ever been a part of online?

Top 5 Best Gaming Mice (2021)

Top 5 Best Gaming Mice (2021)

Top 5 Gaming Mice (2021)

No.5: Logitech G502

The Logitech G502 mouse is a very unique one. This mouse has a very unique look that almost no other mouse has. There are over 11 programmable buttons on the mouse, which is amazing. This mouse has a 1ms response time making it perfect for games that require precise movements. This mouse is also wireless, making it perfect for more minimalist setups. The battery lasts around 50 hours, so you have plenty of usage before you will need to charge it. The one major downside to this mouse is that it is very pricey, even for a wireless mouse. It comes to a whopping 150$. If you aren’t worried about going broke anytime soon, then this is a good option.

No.4: Razer Viper Ultimate

The Razer Viper Ultimate is another great option for those who are in the market for a wireless gaming mouse. This mouse has a 20k DPI Sensor, so this is also a great option for games requiring precise and accurate movements. The wireless has low latency, so you are going to get a fantastic response time from this mouse. The mouse battery lasts over 70 hours, making this mouse one of the best wireless gaming mice. Another amazing feature Razer implemented into this mouse, is the fact that it is ambidextrous. Another very cool feature of this mouse is that it comes with a charging dock. This is a very rare, but cool thing that a mouse has. The one downside is that it only has 5 buttons on the mouse. The Viper Ultimate comes in at a better price than the G502, at 90$.

No.3: Logitech G305

The Logitech G305 comes in number three because it has the best bang for your buck. Everyone can see that this is not the fanciest mouse, but what is important is how well it functions for its price. The G305 has a 12,000 DPI Sensor, which is a great sensor for its price. This mouse has 6 buttons, which is even more than the Viper Ultimate. This mouse is also wireless. It has an astonishing, 250-hour battery life! That is 5x the battery life of a mouse at 150$. This mouse has a new Logitech feature called HYPERSPEED. This feature gives the wireless mouse as good of a response as a high-end wired mouse. One of my favorite things about this mouse is that it comes in 6 different colors. Finally, the amazing price. This mouse normally costs 60$, but right now it is only 30$. So if you plan on buying a mouse right now, I highly recommend this one.

No.2: Logitech G Pro X Superlight

If you haven’t noticed already this is the third Logitech mouse on this list. That shows how truly amazing Logitech is when it comes to making gaming mice. This mouse is an absolute monster. The Logitech G Pro X Superlight is one of the most popular gaming mice in the world. Especially for people who play esports. When I say super light, I mean super light. This mouse comes in at 63 grams, so this mouse will be floating around in your hand with no problem whatsoever. This mouse also has a 25,000 DPI Optical Sensor which is nuts. This mouse also features the Lightspeed wireless technology just like the G305. As I said, this mouse is crazy. Unfortunately, it is very pricey. Coming in at 150$.

No.1: Glorious Model O

I feel like a lot of people are going to disagree with this. The Glorious Model O is a mouse that many people say is overrated, which I half agree with. Build wise, the Logitech G Pro X Superlight beats this mouse. But this mouse is insane for its price. This mouse is the lightest in the entire world. This mouse is 58 grams, which is super awesome. I have this mouse, and I am in love with it. It is truly amazing. It has a very fast response time and a really good ergonomic shape for the hand. This is a wired mouse, but that is why it is the best for gaming. It can have a different debounce time, and it makes it perfect for certain games where you need to click fast. It has a 12,000 DPI sensor for good and precise movements for FPS games. The price of this mouse is 50$. Because of all its wonderful features and good price, it very well deserves the number one spot.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I believe that if you want an affordable price and a good mouse, I would recommend the Model O or the G305. If you have a bigger budget, then I would highly recommend the Logitech G Pro Superlight. I hope your mouse shopping goes well, and that you find what is perfect for your needs.

Keyboards/Keyboard Accessories; Which Ones The Nicest?

Keyboards/Keyboard Accessories; Which Ones The Nicest?

If you play video games, or just enjoy typing, you may have looked into the mechanical keyboard world. Mechanical keyboards are much different compared to the membrane. Membrane keyboards have a rubber dome so that when you press down on the keycap, it has a “Squishy” feel to it. On the other hand, mechanical keyboards have what’s called a “switch”. The keycap sits on top of said switch and when pressed down, the keycap gives you a smooth, even, LINEAR feel, or a clicky, bumpy, TACTILE feel. Mechanical keyboards have more parts than just that, such as a frame, a plate, keycaps, a PCB, and sometimes even RGB. They all come in different feels and qualities, so essentially, let’s see which ones are the best.

Budget Stock Boards

Now keyboards can be pretty expensive, for instance, if you look over at most any “custom” mechanical keyboard, they normally don’t go below $200. So now you waltz on over to amazon/youtube to find the BEST budget keyboard <$100. This is always a tough decision, and which ones are best for what? Do you want Good Stabs, switches, RGB, or Keycaps? It’s all up to what you want to sacrifice.

Rk61/Rk68 <$60

These two keyboards are some of the most popular keyboards in all of the “Budget” keyboard world. These keyboards have some of the greatest RGB on a “gamer” keyboard. The RK61 is a 60%, Hot-Swappable mechanical keyboard. The RK68 is a Hot-Swappable 65% mechanical keyboard. Both of these keyboards come in either red, blue, or brown Gateron switches. Amazon Link for the RK68: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FG3WCX8/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_api_glt_fabc_NFJJ486022Y9JBHZX5QB

EPOMAKER EP84 75%

The Epomaker is on the pricier side of the keyboard world. For stock, the total comes out to around $85 on amazon. This keyboard includes a Hot-Swappable PCB, Function keys, and arrow keys. The keyboard can come with many different types of Gateron switches. Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DKSSL82/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_api_glt_fabc_0ZGYAECY4Y3WX8JA1MQR?psc=1

There are many different types of budget keyboards, but these are probably some of the most popular ones, and the highest quality unmodded. If you want to, modding the keyboard is ridiculously easy on both.

Switches

Mechanical keyboards have what’s called a “switch”. The keycap sits on top of said switch and when pressed down, the keycap gives you a smooth, even, LINEAR feel, or a clicky, bumpy, TACTILE feel. There are many different brands such as Gateron, Cherry, Otemu, and many others.

These all include different “colors” which define what kind of switch you are buying. Blue: clicky, loud, tactile. Brown: tactile, slightly clicky. Red: Linear, smooth, a bit loud. Black: heavy, linear, THOCC. Yellow: Linear, FAST, lighter. Silver: very similar to yellow. There are many more different types of switches, but those 6 are the main money makers and the most popular.

Layout/Plate

Now, if you want a good keyboard you need to have a good plate/board itself. But it all mainly comes down to what you want on your keyboard. Plastic has a cheaper, more hollow feel, while metal has a deep, solid feel. The main downside to metal is that it is more expensive, and is harder to come by. But if you are serious about keyboards, go for a metal base.

The plate of the board is the piece between the keycaps, and the PCB, and it is USUALLY a thinner metal and has lots of variants. The only plastic plates you are going to come across are in cheap, $30 boards.

The layout of the board is very important, do you want a full size, or a small, compact 60%? The sheer amount of layouts is insane.

There are 100% (Full)

TKL, (minus the number pad)

75% (A much more compact version of the TKL)

65% (Minus the function keys on a 75%)

60% (Minus the arrow keys from the 65%)

Customizations/Keycaps

Keyboards are MADE to be modded (at least most of them) and mods can get complicated and sometimes even expensive. And keycaps are one of the most popular mods, and both are very important to make the keyboards look/sound their best.

Customizations

Customizations/mods are the only way to make your keyboard sound great.

The first mod is the tape mod, you can take apart your keyboard, then pull out the PCB. Next, take your scotch tape, and cover the entire bottom of the PCB.

Next, the Foam mod/Dampen mod. This mod includes the same steps as the first mod, except the tape of course. You then take pillow foam, memory foam, or packing foam and STUFF the bottom of your keyboard.

Now, the band-aid mod. The band-aid mod just includes removing the switch, then the stabilizer. After that, take a band-aid and cut a small piece off. Take that piece and put it over/under the slot of where that stab was, and put that stab back on.

Finally, lube mod. Lubing the stabilizers/switches is a painstaking process that can take HOURS to complete. First, take all the switches out of the keyboard, then the stabs. Then get a switch piece removal, and buy some keyboard lubricant. After all of this, you need to watch a video on how to do this, and you are on your way.

Keycaps

Keycaps are the main attraction of the keyboard itself because it just sits on top and is the only visible object on the keyboard. Keycaps are all about the layout you want, and make sure you are getting the right set! Keycaps have different kinds of plastic that you can buy, PBT, and ABS are the main types. PBT is the more expensive, and higher quality one.

Keycaps can come in different colors and have different purposes. Like HyperX PBT pudding keycaps, made for Gamer RGB. or you just want some nice looking colors, on some nice feeling keycaps.

Overall

Keyboards overall can get pretty expensive, and you always need to find the right one for your preference. You MUST keep all of these factors into play when you get your first mechanical/custom keyboard.

Why the Oculus Quest is Becoming One of the Biggest Vr Headsets

I have owned my Quest for about 3 weeks and I’ve had friends play it and they say it’s better than the Pc powered ones. They mainly say that because of the wireless ability to play without being tethered to a Pc, and mainly because one of them has the Htc Vive and they all played it and said it was way too expensive for an experience like that. The Htc Vive starts at around $800, while the Quest starts at $400 for the 64 GB but then the 128 GB version costs another $100 which makes it start at around $500 unless you get it used

Features

When Oculus saw that there was a way to connect the Vr headset to the owners Pc they introduced the Oculus Link, and the reasoning for this was so you could download games from your Pc and play them on the go. And the good part about this is you can download a game from your Pc on to your Quest and bring it to your friend’s house and play that game at their house without asking if they have a Pc to connect to and play the game you downloaded. And if you played in your garage and you couldn’t bring your Pc out there then you bring your Quest inside your house overnight and download the game you were going to play and then bring it back outside and play that game with the freedom as if the game was on the store on the Quest. And all the games work decently well considering that it’s completely standalone.

And Oculus recently released the Hand-Tracking on the Oculus Quest where the 4 cameras on the front track your hands. It hasn’t been used in any of the hit games such as Beat Saber and Job Simulator yet because they released the hand tracking on January 2 so they need to have more updates so it can have better tracking because the cameras on the front can’t run the highest quality. But when you use the Touch Controllers (The same ones Facebook used on the Rift and Rift S) the tracking gets much better because it focuses on the tiny lights on the controllers. Which used to have issues because if you got yours around Christmas, like me, you would have issues with the tracking because of the lights on the tree but Oculus recently fixed that so it can only track the lights on the controllers.

Now you may be asking yourself “Why the Oculus Quest over PsVr, Pimax, or Htc Vive.” The reason why I wouldn’t prefer for the PsVr is it tracks these bright colored lights and if you have a light with the same colors in the background then it will think that the light is the controller and will mess up the tracking. And you need to buy a Ps4 for about $400 and the PsVr starts st $200 so that’s already $600 which is already $200 over the Quest. And with the Pimax the lowest priced on is double the price of the 64 GB Quest. You might get a better experience with the Pimax but you have to buy a Pc that’s over $1000 if you want the best experience. So that’s a $1,600 difference then the Quest. And with the Htc Vive, it isn’t as expensive but you still have to have that super nice Pc and the Controllers don’t come in the package so you have to spend another $100 to get those just to be able to play. And with it being 2020 people are getting into Vr especially teens so the Quest is a good starting Vr and affordable. And the games on it are decently good. Considering that it’s a fully standalone headset and has some of the most popular games.

With Beat Saber on the Oculus Quest, you can connect it to your Pc and get custom songs while with the PsVr you can’t and you always have to be tethered to a PlayStation which is much lighter than a Pc which makes the chance of it falling off and breaking higher. Which would mean that you wouldn’t be able to play Vr anymore, or you could get to Quest and not have to worry about that. Sure, you get a better field of view but that would make you feel more in a different world which would mean you might try to walk and it wouldn’t work, and then your Pc or Ps4 could fall and break. And then you wouldn’t be able to play Vr at all if it broke. The worst thing that could happen when you’re playing the Quest while it’s plugged into an outlet is it just gets unplugged.

In conclusion, the reason why the Oculus Quest is growing is because of the price, the freedom aspect of it, and the Oculus link just made it run the same as the $600 Oculus Rift, but of course to use the Oculus link you need a Pc powerful enough to run it so that could cost a small fortune but other than that the Oculus Quest is one of the best selling Vr’s.
