7 Disney Rumors or Legends

Disney is a super big company that owns almost all companies and if you haven’t seen at least one thing by Disney than that’s kinda sad but eh. But with how big Disney has gotten theres bound to be some legends & rumors out there about them.

The Ashes

Some people who go to the Disney parks will bring loved ones ashes and walk around the park spreading them, most of the time people will spread the ashes of their loved ones in the Haunted Mansion ride.

Human Remains

It’s said that some of the skulls, bones, & even some of the skeletons on the Pirates of the Caribbean are actually real skeletons, bones, or skulls or whatever. But originally all the skeletons on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride where all real human remains when it was first built but now the only remain in the skull and the bedpost.

Dead workers

So apparently when a worker that’s dressed in a costume such as Mickey, Goofy, Donald or any of the other characters that have full-on bodysuits dies while in their costume one of the other workers will prop them up on a bench so the people at the park can get a picture with them. Then at the end of the day when the parks closed they remove them from their spot.

Dead Walt

People believe that Walt Disney is cryogenically frozen in one of the Disney parks so that he can be reanimated or something like that.

Haunted Mansion death

A man had died while riding the Haunted Mansion cause apparently in its earlier version some man who had been invited to the preview had died of a heart attack cause of how terrifying it was.

 Haunted Mansion Hearse

The hearse in front of the Haunted Mansion ride apparently carried a real body one time. You may wonder who that body belonged to, well the hearse supposedly carried the body of Brigham Young from his funeral house to his burial place.

Mogli’s Palace

There is an abandoned Disney resort in Emerald Isle North Carolina called Mogli’s Palace. The locals hated it cause of the theming and cause of how much of their property and land Disney owned, but of course Disney opened they resort anyways built soon after shut it down & tried to erase all evidence of it opening or of it ever existing, & the crew members and people who worked there just up and left suddenly.

Disney has a ton of secrets that they don’t want you to know, because the more you know they think the less magic you will think there is at Disneyland or Disney World.

Disney Characters

You can only see a few Disney characters in certain places or during certain holidays like the Beast.  You can only see the Beast at one place. The article Showbiz Cheat Sheet says, “You’ll find most Disney characters roaming the streets or attending character breakfasts, but there’s one popular person you’ll only see in one place. Beauty and the Beast fans must head to the Magic Kingdom’s Be Our Guest Restaurant to catch a glimpse of the Beast”.  Also you can only see Flynn Rider typically only shows up during Halloween or Christmas parties.

Princeses

One thing you don’t typically know about Disney princesses is that when they are on their breaks eating food it is a lot like a highschool cafeteria.  Where the “cooler” princess like Elsa and Anna sit at one side and older characters like Snow White and Mary Poppins sit at the other and usually eye each other.  There are also certain requirements to become a Disney princess like, the article ShowBiz Cheat Sheet says, “Disney Fanatic learned that to get hired as a Disney princess, you also have fit Disney’s height and size requirements. Most princesses have to measure between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 7 inches to preserve “character integrity.” Additionally, anyone who wants one of those roles has to fit into the costumes. According to Disney Fanatic, Disney carries them in up to a size 10. (Fortunately, former Disney princesses have reported that the costumes run true-to-size.)”

Trashcans

At Disneyland and Disney World you are never more than 30 steps away from a trash can.  The article BestLife says, “Disney really did think of everything—including how annoying it is to have to carry around garbage. To keep guests happy and the parks clean, each space was designed so that visitors are never more than 30 steps away from a trash can.”

Masked Characters

When/if you are a masked character you aren’t allowed to talk ever.  Also if you are a masked character you have to stay in character at all times.  There was a guy who interviewed for water Goofy, said that they told him even if you are drowning you aren’t allowed to take off their mask until out of sight of children.  They also will not perform CPR on the spot until out of sight of children.

Better Times To Meet The Characters

They say that the best time to meet the characters is in the morning. ShowBiz Cheat Sheet article says, “One surefire way to ensure you get the perfect photo op with your favorite Disney character is to sign up for a dining experience. These meals are kind of pricey, but when you opt for breakfast instead of dinner, you can save a little bit of money and still get the same benefits.”

Asking For Directions

If you ask a masked character for directions don’t think they are being rude if they don’t respond, because they aren’t allowed to talk to you.  You also shouldn’t ask Cast members (Disney Employees) Because they aren’t allowed to move from where they are stationed. A good person to ask is the custodians they can move around the park, plus they know the park inside and out since they clean it.  But if you do end up asking a cast member then this is what ShowBiz Cheat Sheet article says they will do, “When you ask for directions, Disney cast members are instructed to point you in the right direction using two fingers instead of one. Some believe that’s because certain cultures find it rude to point with one finger. But there’s also another theory.  Legend holds that there are photos of Walt Disney pointing to various areas of the park while holding a cigarette between his two fingers. The cigarette has since been edited out, but the point with two fingers remains. No matter which story is true, the fact remains — the Disney point always includes two fingers, never just one.

Those are some Disney Secrets but there are many more than just those few.  Do you know any more Disney Secrets besides these ones?

Are you looking for places to go on vacation this winter? Well, this can help you. Some of the top theme parks to go in California are Legoland, Knotts Berry Farm, Disneyland, Six Flags Great Adventure, and finally, Universal Studios.

Thousands of people always plan on going to theme parks during winter. Disneyland and Universal are the most popular because people want to get out of their cold climate in their cities, and those parks are open all year round. DisneyLand has holiday parades almost every night in December, and Legoland has a 30-foot Christmas tree built out of legos that twinkles to holiday tunes at the light show. If you really think about it, one of the best times of the year to visit a theme park is winter! Especially around the holidays.
