How slowing Coronavirus works.

How slowing Coronavirus works

Coronavirus. The one disease that we all know and hate. It makes us all scared to go outside and do something. Although the disease has not been cured yet, these three things below are required and have been proven to help slow down the spread of COVID.

Masks

Although there has been much speculation as to whether masks do slow down COVID-19 or not, the real answer is they are supposed to. The main reason as to why people don’t think masks do anything to slow Coronavirus is because they believe that it is the air that people breathe that is infected, although is isn’t. Coronavirus spreads through little tiny droplets that shoot out of the body when you sneeze, cough, or talk. These little tiny droplets come from the mouth and nose, which is why the mask covers them. How the mask is supposed to work is that it catches the droplets on the mask, then lets the air escape clean and harmless. However since many don’t wear masks or have either their nose of mouth out, the droplets still escape and contaminate other human beings. So although he masks don’t eliminate the germs, they help keep them to yourself.

Social Distancing

Although masks pretty much slow the disease as much as possible, because of rebels who pull their masks down other rules have to be put into place. Social distancing in my opinion is rather useless if your wearing a mask, but according to doctors Coronavirus droplets can only go forward for about six feet, which is where Social Distancing comes in. They figure that as long as you stay six feet away from others, the germs can’t reach you. Although Social distancing can be extremely annoying to do, it is required to decrease the chance of COVID spreading.

Quarantining

Even though masks and social distancing stop the spread of germs, quarantining if exposed is still a requirement. How quarantining works is when you are exposed to Coronavirus, there is a possibility that you may now have it. While sometimes you may quarantine and remain untouched by Coronavirus, the quarantine has been set as a safety precaution to reduce the amount of COVID-19 spreaders in public safety.

In conclusion, masks, social distancing, and quarantining are three important rules that help slow down COVID-19. Although they can be annoying and seem useless, they have been made for our safety and protection. While none of them provide an exact cure for Coronavirus, they all help contribute to slowing it if all 3 are done.
