Donovan Mitchell

Mitchell is entering his fourth NBA season this upcoming season. He has recently signed a 5-year, 195-Million contract extension with the Utah Jazz. He started his career in Utah, we Jazz fans hope he ends his career here in Utah. Back in the 2017 NBA Draft, we can all say Utah had the “Steal of the draft”. Donovan was Rookie of the year to most people, but Ben Simmons was in the draft class of 2016 and got injured after playing in one of his first NBA games. Unfortunately, people thought that he should still be a rookie. So he won rookie of the year. We all knew Donovan was much better than he was.

2019-2020 NBA SEASON STATS

After exiting the NBA Bubble we all knew that SPIDA came back to Utah being a SUPER-STAR. There are not very many SUPER-STARS in the league but there are tons of STARS. Mitchell scored a 57 point game in the Playoffs against the Denver Nuggets, which is the third most scored points in a play-offs game. Then the following game he scored 51 points.

RECORDS

SPIDA has set many records through just three seasons in the NBA. He set most threes in a playoff series with a record of 33 threes in the first round against the Denver Nuggets. He set another record in that same series with his 57 point game. He averaged in that series 51% from three. He also set the fastest rookie to score 3000 points. He set most threes as a rookie before the NBA all-star weekend.

All-Star weekend appearances

This last season Donovan became an ALL-STAR. He was drafted by Giannis Atentakumpo in the ALL-STAR draft. Donovans rookie season he got to enter the dunk contest because Arron Gordan got injured and wasn’t able to be in the contest. So Donovan was able to take his spot. Donovan got in the contest and WON! Let me remind you he is a ROOKIE when this happened.

Donovan Mitchell has been a very successful player in his three years in the NBA. He is one of the league’s best players and one of the most valuable players. He is a very underrated player in the NBA and lots of players have tons of respect for him. This is arguably one of the best talents in the world! You heard me! This man is a STUD, PERIOD.
