December Holidays Around the World.

Christmas is celebrated differently around the world, so many people believe in different holidays. In the United States alone people celebrate all of their cultureś holidays. In the United States most people celebrate Christmas; Santa and the nativity scene. And we put out our Christmas stockings and our Christmas trees and a star on top, while people in Germany have two days to celebrate the 25th and the 26th and on the 24th they wrap presents, have a good dinner and put up the Christmas tree and other decorations. Germany decorates their trees with strings/tinsel and candles as light. That was an old tradition but now they just use normal lights like most people in the United States do. Germany also visits family on the 26th and has a big meal that day. Christmas in France, France the streets, shops, houses, and any other public place is decorated many weeks in advance. And they use an Advent calendar which you get to open 24 little windows on it is a fun way for people to get in the spirit of Christmas in France. Traditions like putting up a Christmas tree were used back to the 14th century in France. One Christmas eve children put out their polished shoes for Père Noël (Father Christmas) and he filled the kids’ shoes with candy. Christmas in Italy, Italians love their nativity scene and they like it big a lot of them are life-size actually and they have them everywhere around their home and in public churches. Gifts are only exanched on the 6th of january. But Babbo Natale (Father Christmas) hands out gifts on Christmas day, December 25th. In Italy Merry Christmas is, Babbo Natale. CHristmas in England is people decorating the outside of the house usually early as early as the middle of November. A lot of people decorate with bright lights and sparkly things. People in England go around and if they like the decorations that that house has put up they will knock on the door and give a donation, then the owners usually give it to aid of local charities. The 25th of December is when Father Christms comes and gives gifts to the children, and the 26th known as Boxing day is a day for families to come together and give gifts to one another. Christmas in South Africa. South Africa is a warm place down south so they don’t really ever get snow so sometimes they have to improvise when it comes to feeling like it’s Christmas. Down there they celebrate Christmas on the 25th as well and it is called braai, Which when translated means BBQ. a lot of artificial Christmas trees in homes and outside for decor. There are different traditions around the world where people celebrate different things but there is always joy around the holidays.

6 tips to help your house

6 tips to help your house

6 tips to make your house your style

  1. How to fix your kitchen. Make it brighter and whiter if you paint cabinets white your house will feel 100% bigger and brighter by painting your kitchen. And if you don’t like the white look then raise your darker cabinets to the top to the ceiling so it looks taller. Make your kitchen your own, if you like more of a modern look add pendant lights that have a modern look or modern decorations.
  2. How to fix your living room. Match your living room with your kitchen then your house will flow better and not have a choppy feel to it. So if you like a timeless classic look at an accent wall like a brick. But if you like more of a modern look then put stone around your fireplace and make it your centerpiece. If you like a farmhouse look add some beams to your living room to open it up and draw attention to the ceiling to make it look bigger and brighter. And mix and match, it’s always fun to see a house with personality and add some color to make it bold. For example, have a chair with a pattern and a bright-colored coach, or if you don’t like that style then get 2 solid chairs that are symmetrical from each other then have a very light pattern in the wall or the rug you have under the chairs.
  3. How to fix your master bedroom make it a room not where you just sleep in but a room where you can be. So add some chairs so you can sit down not just on your bed. And for the bed, center it in the middle of the room so it looks symmetrical. And make the bed with pillows that match your room and do different textures, more texture makes your eyes look there, from your throw blankets to every pillow you have even on your charts the more texture you get the more interesting it looks. For the bathroom, organize it so it doesn’t look cluttery even if you use everything out, just put it away so that it looks bigger and that it doesn’t look cramped with unnecessary stuff.
  4. How to fix your nursery. Make it whimsical if you make it feel whimsical then it will feel like a nursery don’t limit yourself to pink if it’s a girl and blue if it’s a boy make it colorful. Carry a theme through the whole room, like maybe under the sea or the sky or maybe the theme is a new style from the rest of your house like boho for the nursery but modern for the rest of the house. And make it easy for you to use also because after the baby grows up you might want to make the nursery into an office, or another room for older kids so don’t do anything crazy like paint that room a bunch of crazy baby colors do what matches.
  5. How to fix your hallway bathroom: don’t make it personal because guests will use that bathroom and you want them to not be freaked out because you like bright pink and your guest likes plain white they would not like the bathroom. And make it cute and contrasted, like have a black circle mirror and hexagon white tile mix and match patterns.
  6. How to fix your office: make it accessible for you to work and spend time making it easy to learn there. And make it a place not where you dread going but a place where you love to be, like a room with a huge window or maybe your office is a room with huge french doors so you can take breaks and go outside when you want to.

Those are some tips to make your house your style your home a place you want to spend every day in :).
