It was released in 2016. Their third album, titled III, was released in 2019. Their fourth album is Brightside and it was released in 2021. More about their albums
The album, “The Lumineers” is an anomaly. There is no auto-tune, no drums, and hardly any percussion at all. If you listen very carefully, you can hear the echoes when this acoustic band sings a sing along chorus. “Stubborn Love” and “Ho Hey” are two very catchy songs, which got the Lumineers noticed when they first formed. The album will always have the spotlight on more simple tunes, such as Slow It Down.
Cleopatra has many different moods, tunes, and instruments. “Gale song” is more of a slow emotional song, compared to Cleopatra, which is quick-paced and upbeat. The album cover was also based on a movie film made in 1917, titled Cleopatra.
Then, there is their third album, which is not a coincidence that it is titled III. It has very slow songs, then it will jump to a fast song that is more energetic. They released “Gloria” as the first single on April 5th. The album as a whole was then released on September 16th, 2016. In 2020 touring was limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, The Lumineers could still reach number 27 on Billboard’s top 40 of top paid music artists.
On September 20th they announced Brightside to be their fourth studio album. They also released a music video on the same day. About a month later “Big Shot” was released, accompanied by a music video. The band announced that the album was officially released on January 20th, 2022. They then later had a world tour. During one concert, they sang a cover of “Just Like Heaven” ” originally sung by The Cure.
As of now, The Lumineers will release a new album called Automatic on February 14th, which happens to be on Valentine’s Day. They released one song “Same Old Song” the same day the album was announced.
