Corpse Bride is a personal favorite, but also to others since it grossed about $53,359,111 in America. This film was inspired by an old Russian folktale and the idea was presented to Tim Burton just as they were finishing “The Nightmare Before Christmas” which we will talk about later. This movie is basically about a boy named Victor who was betrothed to a woman by his family for money and status and later meets a corpse bride named Emily. This 2005 movie stars Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Emily Watson, and many more.

Beetlejuice

  Beetlejuice is a classic coming right from 1988, it’s about a couple who passed away in a house and try to scare off the new people moving in (The Deetz’s) and meet Lydia, a fifteen-year girl along with a mischievous demon named Betelguese. The film became successful after release and grossed about 73.7 million U.S dollars and won many awards. The cast is made of actors Winona Ryder, Micheal Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis and many more.

Edward Scissorhands

Edwards Scissorhands is also another older work of Tim Burton made in the year of 1990. It’s a dark romantic fantasy about a man named Edward who was an unfinished creation and has scissor blades as hands who got taken in by a quiet family and fell in love with their young daughter Kim. This movie grossed 56 million dollars in America and has been nominated for many awards as well. This movie stars Johnny Depp (once again), Winona Ryder (once again), Dianne West, Anthony Micheal Hall and many more.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

 This might be one that you might remember from your childhood, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a fantasy musical film from 2005. It was inspired by a novel made by Roald Dahl. The plot of the film is about how five children were chosen to be given a free tour of the Chocolate Factory by the owner Wonka. This film casts Johnny Depp (once again), David Kelly, Helena Boham Carter (once again), Noah Taylor, James Fox, and many more. 

The Nightmare Before Christmas

  Last but not least, one of Tim Burton’s best works, The Nightmare before Christmas. It was made in 1993 as a dark fantasy stop-motion film. The plot it follows is about Jack Skellington, the king of Halloweentown and his adventure of when he discovered the holiday Christmas through a portal in the woods. The film was originally a poem written by Burton in 1982 but later continued it as a project when making a deal with Disney in 1990. The film casts Chris Sarandon, Catherine O’Hara, William Hickey, Glen Shadix, and many more.
