A breakdown of the Utah Jazz 2021-2022 schedule

A breakdown of the Utah Jazz 2021-2022 schedule

This is a breakdown of the Utah Jazz 2021-2022 schedule. This year the Jazz are playing on Christmas Day for the seventh time; they also played these years on Christmas day 1975, 1977, 1979, 1982, 1988, and 1997. This is the first time they have played on Christmas day since 1997.

They play the Dallas Mavericks at 8:30 on ESPN. The Utah Jazz are projected to go 60-22. The Jazz are 3rd on power rankings in the west behind the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers. The Jazz also have some long road trips; a six-day trip, as well as a 9-day road trip. The Jazz have 14 nationally streamed games; ESPN 8 times, and TNT 4 times, and one time on ABC.

The Jazz also has 13 back-to-back games. Utah will open up the season on October 20th at the Vivint Arena against the Oklahoma City Thunder, and end the season April 10th against the Portland Trailblazers in Portland.

The toughest stretch of the season is their 9-day road trip they start From January 23 up to February 4th. This is the list of teams the Jazz play in order: the Golden State Warriors, the Phoenix Suns, the Phoenix Suns (again), the Memphis Grizzlies, the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Denver Nuggets, and the Brooklyn Nets.

The Jazz play on new years day against the Minnesota Timberwolves. At 7:00 pm

In Utah. They also play on my birthday December 8th at the Minnesota Timberwolves stadium. On Wednesday at 6:00 pm the Jazz play on Halloween against the defending NBA champions the Milwaukee Bucks with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Rudy Gobert that would be a good game to watch.

Let’s talk about their players. In the starting lineup, we got PG Mike Conley with his leadership on the court. SG Donovan Mitchell with his shooting defenses dunking he can do everything he averaged 26.4 last season. At SF Bojan when Donovan Mitchell is out he can take over the court when they played the Denver Nuggets on May 7th he dropped 48 points. At PF Royce O’neal he usually guards the best player on the other team like Lebron James. The center Rudy Gobert has 3 Defensive players of the year he is one of the best centers in the NBA he’s got a Defensive Offensive he can dunk cause he is 7’1 his defense he blocks everybody he can kinda shoot the jump shot. But if he could shoot 3s he would be the best center in the NBA. On their bench, there is Jordan Clarkson who won 6 man of the year he dropped 41 off the bench which was a career high. The Jazz also have Joe Ingles, he is their 3 point shooter. They also picked up a few players during the offseason, those being Rudy Gay, Eric Paschall, Hassan Whitside, Justin Jam, Udoka Azubike. The Jazz also drafted Jared Butler from Baylor in the first round. Their last bench player Trent Forster is a pretty decent player off the bench. That’s the breakdown of the Utah Jazz schedule and players.

Utah Jazz offseason moves

Utah Jazz made some interesting moves this offseason and it’s not even over yet. Their biggest new edition is Derrick Favors. Favors who played for the jazz in 2018 is coming back. He went to the pelicans for the 2019 season and did pretty good with them. We needed another big back up or a good PF. So either way this was a great sign.

Another big move was to re-sign Jordan Clarkson. In the playoffs he was one of the biggest scorers coming off the bench. He was really good and put up some much needed scoring when we needed it. I feel like this sign is really good and a great move by the jazz.

Next was Max Donovan Mitchell. He is our best player and scorer and shattered many records during the playoffs. He scored 57 points in a game which is the most points a player on the jazz has ever scored. A max means to give him the most money you can. It was a 5 year deal for 195 million dollars if he makes one of the all NBA teams. This is so great for the Jazz and the best contact they have made.

Now we have draft picks. With the 27th pick the jazz selected Udoko Azubukie from Kansas. He is a 7 footer and a great post up player. He can play good defense and a good scorer. That is what jazz struggled a lot with last year is filling the absence of Rudy Gobert when he was on the bench. Now we have Bookie and Favors to fill the hole. Next with the 39th pick we got Elijah Hughes from syracuse university. He is a guard that can shoot very well. He is extremely athletic and can go up and dunk it. If he can play defense better he will be a nice shooting guard coming off the bench.

Next we traded Tony Bradley to the Pistons for money. We got two other big men so this was a good move. Also we traded ed davis to the knicks to free up some cap space. These were small and simple moves but helped us sign clarkson and favors.

Yesterday the jazz unveiled their new city edition uniforms. There are like the old ones but fade to black. I love them and thing they are a very good and simple jersey. Lots of NBA teams have released new jerseys that are very good and this is one of them.
