Greatest VR and AR breakthroughs

By: Luke Hills

During CES this year many VR makers had an amazing tech to show off and many would help in everyday life. Some car dealerships, like Hyundai who used VR to show off their Flying taxi. And Pimax who invented an 8k resolution VR headset. In this article, I will go over the newest VR and devices.

Ar glasses are the new future

Vr is one of the greatest things ever invented and Vr glasses are the next step. Fortunately, some companies like Panasonic have already done this. Panasonic has created the very first UHD AR smart glasses that use micro OLED displays but this does come with some cons like having to carry a battery pack to use them. But Nreal is a step ahead of all of the Vr and Ar makers because they have made are glasses that use sensors to track the world around you and it uses your smartphone to browse the web or even watch youtube.

The newest oculus updates

The oculus quest is probably the most desired VR gaming headset because of its mobility and many game titles, and you would think that quest could not get any better. but your wrong sometime in 2020 the quest will get 2 updates, the first will allow you to sideload steam games on to your quest. The second update is probably my favorite because it allows you to use your hand and you don’t need controllers. This update also comes with a game.

The BHaptics tactsuit

The tactsuit is one of the more immersive VR breakthroughs because this suit allows you to feel everything in your game it hooks up to your computer and headset to deliver a world of excitement. So you can feel every stapler in your job simulator game or every lightsaber strike in vader immortal. This tactsuit is truly the best thing you could own, but it comes with a hefty price tag of 500 dollars

Samsung’s new flip phone

Samsung just unveiled its new flip phone. The phone has a 180-degree hinge and is just a smartphone but it folds into a compact design. And is available to preorder on February 14. Features: the twin cameras can shoot up to 4k at 60 frames per second. And both act as selfie cameras and share 14 megapixels but not the field of view. Its charging port is a USB-c. This phone packs quite the punch with a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855+ with one prime core clocked at 2.95GHz and three performance cores at 2.41GHz — while four 1.78GHz efficiency cores handle-less performance-intensive tasks, And 8 GB ram( which is great for a phone) plus, 256gb of memory.

Soon we will all have some sort of VR and ar headsets. But VR and ar will continue to improve, and we will probably have VR controlled vehicles in the future.
