The Florida Wildlife Federation and the fStop foundation placed cameras in residents’ backyards to capture the wildlife and because of this, it was all caught on camera. Richard Wilbanks recovered his 3-month-old puppy Gunner from the grasps of the alligator. “I never thought an alligator could be that fast. It was so quick,” Wilbanks told the network. Wilbanks is fine and his dog has recovered from his puncture wounds.

He landed on the asphalt and got some scrapes and bruises as well as stitches.

He then proceeded to stick his hand in the jaguar’s cage. The jaguar clawed at the man’s arm leaving a mess for the zoo employees to clean up after they took him to the hospital. “This is an individual that wasn’t using his head… He stuck his hand in through the mesh that separates the jaguars from the outside,” deputy zoo director Dan Maloney told the outlet, before adding that the incident “would have been a very different story” if the animal had been able to secure a stronger grip on the man.

In the Craze there is Kindness

In the Craze there is Kindness

In Florida there is a lot of crazy stuff going on, they have a rule that almost everything must be put on a news website. Because of that rule, the stories of the Florida man have become funny and not really taken seriously. Recently there have been some articles that stop this silliness and show the kindness we share in the world. Three articles say some very kind things that people have done for each other.

 Stolen diapers and wipes

In Winter Haven Florida, at 4:30 pm police sent out a Facebook post saying that a man had stolen diapers and wipes from a Walmart. People from all across the world were reading and commenting on this post. The man had walked into the store with two of his kids and tried to purchase diapers and wipes. The card he used was denied. He left the store and came back without the kids a few minutes later and tried to purchase the items with a different card, but that card too was denied. He then left the store with the items without purchasing them. People commenting on the video offered to pay the money for the stolen items. Some even offered to give the man supplies for a year or so. Walmart was originally going to press charges on the man but they agreed not to. The police department made contact with him and told him they had a few resources at the department and some assistance for the man but he declined the assistance. Currently, the man is free of all charges and will never be facing those charges pressed against him. If it weren’t for the kind people on Facebook the man would have had to face charges for robbery.

 Shooting in restaurant

At Miami Beach, on a Tuesday night, there was a shooting at a restaurant. The victim was Dustin Wakefield, he was a tourist with his 1-year old son and his family. They were sitting at a table when a gunman walked into the restaurant La Cerveceria. He picked out Wakefield by random and when Wakefield saw the gunman he immediately covered his 1-year old son. He begged the man and said, “He’s only a boy.” The gunman shot Wakefield multiple times and ran out of the restaurant. The gunman was later arrested in an alley and charged with murder. The gunman’s name is not being released but he said, “I was high on mushrooms, which made me feel empowered.” Wakefield was able to save his son which was a very kind and heroic act.

Florida talent

In Ruskin Florida, a man named Rene Salazar lost his landscaping job during Covid 19. He wasn’t very happy, a haircut was the least of his problems, but something changed his mind. He started going around with a pair of clippers and an ear to listen. Salazar went all around town looking for people that were homeless or people that didn’t have a lot of money. He went on the streets and found those people and offered to give them free haircuts. Salzer says, “Would you like a free haircut? Well, they just say, ‘Yeah, yeah sure.’ And then, they will tell me when, and I say, ‘I got my stuff right now,’ and that’s when they’re like, ‘Wow, for real? For real, man?’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, we’ll cut it right here.’ So then, they will be super surprised that I got everything with me at all times.” He says that he won’t even charge a dime for these haircuts. He enjoys doing this because he said he didn’t normally get haircuts as a boy and he understands how nice it is to get one. He shares his kindness and his talent with everyone in Ruskin Florida.

 Crazy Place, Kind residents

At the end of the day, there are at least three nice things you do or someone else does for you. Those things can be simple like a compliment, a smile, or even a note. Kindness is all over the place, you just have to be the person to be kind. Stories like these can inspire people to be kind. Though Florida is a crazy place it shows how kind people can be.
