Top 15 National Parks To Visit

I have only been to two National Parks but I thought it would be fun to learn about more and share them with you! These parks are beautiful places and if you are a person who loves camping, hiking, or just nature you will love these parks! 

1. Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park is a nearly 3,500-sq.-mile wilderness recreation area atop a volcanic hot spot. Located in North West Wyoming. 

2. Yosemite National Park

Yosemite National Park is in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains. Located in mid-east California.

3.  Zion National Park

Zion National Park is a southwest Utah nature preserve. Located in south-west Utah.

4. Grand Teton National Park

Grand Teton is the highest mountain in Grand Teton National Park, in Northwest Wyoming, and a classic destination in American. Located in north-west Wyoming. 

5. Arches National Park

Arches National Park lies north of Moab in the state of Utah. Bordered by the Colorado River in the southeast, it’s known as the site of more than 2,000 natural sandstone arches. Located in south-east Utah.

6. Grand Canyon National Park

Grand Canyon National Park, is home to much of the immense Grand Canyon, with its layered bands of red rock revealing millions of years of geological history. Located in northern Arizona.

7. Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the sprawling landscape encompassing lush forests and an abundance of wildflowers that bloom year-round. Located in south-east Tennessee.

8. Rocky Mountains National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park spans the Continental Divide and encompasses protected mountains, forests, and alpine tundra. Located in northern Colorado. 

9. Everglades National Park

Everglades National Park is a 1.5 million-acre wetland preserve. Often compared to a grassy, slow-moving river, the Everglades is made up of coastal mangroves, sawgrass marshes and pine Flatwoods that are home to hundreds of animal species. Located in South Florida.

10. Crater Lake National Park

Crater Lake National Park is known for its namesake Crater Lake, formed by the now-collapsed volcano, Mount Mazama. Located in south-west Oregon.

11. Redwood National Park

Redwood National and State Parks are a string of protected forests, beaches, and grasslands along Northern California’s coast. Located in north-west California.

12. Shenandoah National Park

Shenandoah National Park has the Skyline Drive running its length, and a vast network of trails includes a section of the long-distance Appalachian Trail. Located in north-west Virginia.

13. Big Bend National Park

Big Bend National Park is where night skies are dark as coal and rivers carve temple-like canyons. Located in south-west Texas.

14. Saguaro National Park

Saguaro National Park is home to the nation’s largest cacti. The giant saguaro is the universal symbol of the American West. These majestic plants found only in a small portion of the United States. Located in south-east Arizona.

15. Lassen Volcanic National Park 

Lassen Volcanic National Park It’s rich in hydrothermal sites like Bumpass Hell, with its acres of bubbling mud pots. The summit of Lassen Peak Volcano offers views over the surrounding wilderness. Located in north-east California.

Twelve best places to travel

Rainbow mountain

Rainbow mountain is located Av. Circunvalación, Cusco 08003, Peru. The rainbow mountain is also known as the mountain of seven colors. To get to Rainbow Mountain you have to first drive 3 hours from Cusco to the trailhead/ lookout then take a 6-mile hike which is not recommended for beginners. This mountain has so many mixed beautiful colors formed from when the mountain was covered in ice, and the ice started to melt and mix with the minerals in the ground, this left a vibrant colorful mountain that looks like it has been painted on with shades of yellow, purple, pink, orange, blue, red and more!

Great Barrier Reef

The Great Barrier Reef is located, Queensland, Australia. The Great Barrier Reef is an amazing place to visit with coral reefs of all colors, busy with life and the exotic colors of fish and sea creatures in the crystal clear water. The Great Barrier Reef is a great place to snorkel and explore.

Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon is quite grand from years of erosion. The canyon formed with layers of sediment and different colors it truly looks like something out of a movie with its wide opening into the canyon and high walls. You can hike to the bottom of the canyon and see the raging Colorado River, or you could go white water rafting down the river.

Lake Banff 

Lake Banff National Park is located in Alberta Canada. Lake Banff has mirrors like water and snow-capped mountains surrounding the water, with beautiful evergreen trees off to the side. Lake Banff is a picture-perfect area.

Havasupai Falls

Havasupai Falls are located in Arizona Grand Canyon National park. Havasupai falls are beautiful falls you can hike to but you first need to get a reservation and permission from the natives. The hike is 4-7 hours and is a hot and long hike. When you get there you can go to the base of the falls or hike to the top of the falls. The water is the perfect blue and is surrounded by red/orange rock.

Santorini, Greece

Santorini Greece is an island in the southern Aegean Sea. This island had one of the largest volcanic eruptions ever recorded. Santorini Greece is a great vacation spot to relax, the island is surrounded by dark blue waters. The island has houses you can stay in alongside the mountain with pretty views of the sea. 

Bali 

Bali is in Indonesia. Bali is a very kid-friendly area to visit and has many beautiful sites. One of the places you can go to Bali is one of the beautiful temples. In Bali, you could also go visit a volcano site, try one of their water sports, explore the jungle or just lay on the beach and relax.

Bora Bora

Bora Bora is one of Tahiti’s most popular islands. In Bora Bora, you can stay in houses over the beautiful transparent blue water. Some activities you can do in Bora Bora include, relaxing on the beach, going on a snorkeling cruise, visit Mount Otemanu, go to the sea turtle center, rent jet skis or ATVs and much more! Bora Bora has some of the most beautiful scenery. 

Glacier Bay 

Glacier Bay is located in Alaska. Glacier bay has towering glaciers with mountains and icy water surrounding you. You can fish in the water, go for a boat ride or you could even hike some of the glaciers. Glacier bay national park is one of the prettiest areas with glaciers.

Perú 

Peru has many amazing areas to sightsee, like Machu Picchu, and Arequipas. Arequipa’s has gleaming structures that are known for its sillar buildings. They are made from a type of volcanic rock. In Arequipa, you can visit a similar structure, see the volcano Misti, hike in the canyons, or visit one of Arequipas many museums. In Machupicchu, you can take a train up the old mountain (as some of the locals call it), or you can hike up the steep mountain to the top, where you can walk through the ancient city of Machu Picchu, seeing the old artifacts and artificial designs in the buildings.

Africa, Egypt 

Cairo Africa. In Cairo Africa you can see the pyramids of Giza, the great sphinx cat, or visit Islamic Cairo with its twisting alleyways and amazing architecture, you could also go on a 7-hour safari tour exploring and observing the wildlife and nature.

Europe 

In Paris, France you can do many things like visiting the grand Eiffel tower. Be amazed by the art collection at the Louvre. Sail past the gothic Notre Dame de Paris. Or relax and eat some of the best pastries at pain de sucre. Paris Europe would be a great place to travel.
