The different types of biking sports

There are many types of biking in the world, but today’s topic is going to be based on the best ones. From XC to Red Bull racing, these ones are the best:

First is XC mountain biking or cross country which is what I do. In cross country biking you race up to about 50 to 100 people per race and you all start at the same time. It is a pretty hard sport and you have to be in very good shape or else you will get very tired on the uphill because the uphill can get very technical and hard to do. At almost every race there is a person that walks their bike up the hills because they are not in the best of shape so all you have to do is ride a little bit more or ride longer, then you will be able to ride a lot faster and it won’t be as tiring unless you push yourself to your limits. Also, you don’t want to have your shocks very soft because if they are it will make it hard to go faster on the uphill and you want to be fast at the uphill. After all, if you are not then you will be passed on the uphill because there is a lot of people that are fast at the uphill.

Following, there is downhill, for downhill you need to be very fast at the downhill. Also, you need to have very good shocks for your bike or else it will be hard to be able to get through the technical parts of the downhill because the shocks are too hard which makes it bumpier so it makes you slow down. You also need to have a strong bike with very great bikes because if your bike is not strong enough you might get a crack on your bike because the trails might be technical for the bike so that is why you need to have a sturdy bike. You also want to have strong arms so that you can hold yourself on the bike easier and also so that when you are pumping you can pump a lot harder and your arms will not get as tired as easily. Also, you want to have very sturdy wheels because they are taking in the most force from all of the rocks that you are riding on. In some of the downhill races, some of the racers don’t have strong enough tires so the tire tacos and then you have to forfeit.

Next up, we have road biking. Road biking is a very fast biking sport because the racers have bikes that weigh as low as 17 pounds and for a super-light bike, I have a bike at home and it is a pretty nice bike that can sell for about $2000 and my bike weighs about 34 pounds. The average price of a pro biker’s road bike is about $7000. They are very expensive and with the money that you spend on a nice bike like that you can almost buy a car for that price. Also, the pro races have many laps that they have to do which makes them very hard for almost anyone that races them. Some of the races for road biking go from 30 to 200 miles and for me, I have trouble getting 25 miles on the rides that I go on. Also on a road bike, you can go a lot faster than on a mountain bike because the road bikes don’t have any shocks, and on the road, the shocks slow you down because it flexes and takes some of the speed that you would get without shocks away, so it is a lot easier to ride a road bike on the road and sidewalks than it is for a mountain bike.

Then, we have BMX. In BMX you learn how to ride fast on a BMX. You also learn how to jump very long distances. I have a friend and he does BMX and he has been doing it for a very long time, and now he can jump over 25 feet long on a 1 ½ foot tall jump with the right amount of speed. You also have to have very strong legs because it is a lot harder to pedal on a BMX. After all, there is only one hard gear and you cant switch them during the race.

Lastly, there is Red bull. In red bull, you have to hit huge jumps. You also have to be able to go very fast on the downhill or else you won’t be able to hit the jumps with enough speed so you might case it and on some of the jumps are gaps over valleys so if you case the jump there is a huge chance to get hurt or even works you could even die on some of the jumps. It also has many huge drops that can be very tall, there are some that if you mess up the landing you could get very hurt, and then you might not be able to ride for the rest of the season. But also you get a pretty good amount of money for doing something that you like to do so why not do it.
There are many different types of biking sports and these are some of the most popular ones. If you are interested in mountain biking try it out it is a very liked sport and it is something to do so why not try it.
