What are the different types of bikes and which one should you buy?

There are different types of bikes because there are different types of places where you want to ride those bikes. if you are riding at the wrong places with the wrong bikes it is not half as fun as it would be with the right bike.

 

BMX bikes

 One of the bikes is a BMX, a BMX is for riding on more of a flat surface because it doesn’t have any shocks. It is also made for racing on the smooth races that are made for riding on a BMX. It is also a smaller and more playful bike because it can clear a lot of jumps because of the size. 

 

Full Suspension bikes 

Next, there is a full-suspension mountain bike. They are made for riding trails and more technical things and it has two shocks one in the middle and one on the front, they are put there so that the impact of jumps and the bumps are a lot softer. It also has two parts of the frame: it has a front triangle and the rear triangle. There are two parts of the bike because if there wasn’t then the rear shock would not be able to move. Also, the shock would be solid and wouldn’t move even a little bit. You have to have strong parts on this bike or else this bike will fall apart if you are riding it very hard. 

 

Hardtail bikes

Next, there is a hardtail on a hardtail there is one shock and it is on the front of the bike. On this bike, it is a lot easier to gain speed on a paved road whether it is uphill or downhill. It is also a lot harder to gain speed on rocky terrain because there is no front shock to absorb the impact. It also is a little bit easier to jump with because you can gain speed on them a lot easier but there is a lot harder of an impact than there would be on a full-suspension bike. But they still are pretty fun and playful bikes to be on and it is a good beginner bike to ride on when you first start to ride on mountain bikes. They also are a lot lighter than a full suspension bike because it doesn’t have a rear shock and a rear shock adds a lot more weight because you have to add a lot more bolts on a full suspension. They also help you to be smarter on the trails because it is a lot harder to find a more smooth trail.

 

Road bikes  

Next, there is a road bike. Road bikes are a bike made for strictly a less rocky trail because they don’t have any shocks at all so if you take them on a rock trail it is not very fun to ride on. But when you are on a road you can get going super fast because when you ride on a flat surface there are nonshocks that take the power out of the strokes while pedaling. They also are one of the lightest larger bikes that you can get, like some of the pros can buy some that weigh as much as 18 pounds! They are super easy to gain speed on and they can be super fun to ride on on the roads.       

Gravel bikes 

 Lastly, there is a gravel bike. They are like a mix of a road bike and a hardtail. They have much thinner frames like a road bike but they have a front shock. It is also a super small front shock like most shocks have about 100 mm. Height but on a gravel bike, there is about 20 mm. They are very tiny shocks. They also are a lot lighter than a normal hardtail and a lot lighter than any full suspension bike. But they have the front shock so that you can still have some fun on the trails. They are also very good for riding on the road because the shocks are still pretty hard and they don’t move unless you want them to move. Also, you can make the front shock lockout so that it doesn’t move at all. Also, it is a very good bike to ride if you are not into mountain biking and you just want to ride on the roads. 

In conclusion, there are many different types of bikes in the world and they are all made to be able to do different things. They are also made to help you get better at some of the different things. Riding bikes is a super fun sport and I hope this article might encourage you to do it and help you to get started in the right way.

Did you know that mountain biking is becoming more popular? It is a sport that gets your adrenaline pumping no matter what. It is a very thrilling sport and a whole lot of fun. Also with a good bike, you can almost do anything you want.

It is becoming more popular because bikes are becoming safer to ride on the trails than they used to be. They are safer because they have better shocks and stronger frames and stronger tires. Also wider tires for more grip. They are also becoming a lot lighter. Before the nice bikes used to get up to the forties in pounds. because they were made of aluminum but now all of the nice bikes are either all carbon fiber or have some carbon fiber parts on them so that it is much lighter. Some of the pros are riding hardtails just to get rid of the weight from the rear suspension. And they are making the bikes lighter so that it is easier to ride. And so now there are more people buying bikes at the beginning of the race season making it so that there are hardly any nice bikes in the shops. So all of the people that are wanting to buy a nice bike aren’t able to because all of the bikes are out of stock.

They are also able to go off bigger jumps than before because the shocks can absorb the impact better so that the impact is soft so that it doesn’t hurt when you land.it is also becoming more popular because the trails are becoming more fun, and easier for people to ride because the trails are more smooth because we have the technology to be able to make the trails more patted down so that you are not sliding out on them. It also is a sport that gets your adrenaline pumping and gets you hyped for a good time. Also, it helps you to get stronger legs. You can also go riding almost anywhere when you are on a mountain bike because they can ride on road, dirt, snow, ETC. Also, the people in the mountain biking community are almost all nice people that will never try to hurt you during your races.

Here are some bike brands that make very nice bikes to ride on trails and race with. First is Fezzari. They make e-bikes, hardtails, downhill bikes, cross country bikes, road bikes, and dirt jumpers. They have very nice bikes that will be able to let you go anywhere. Next is Scott, they make e-bikes hardtails, full suspension downhill bikes, full suspension cross country bikes, and road bikes. Then we have specialized, they make full suspension cross country bikes, hardtails, road bikes, dirt jumpers, downhill bikes, and BMX bikes. They make top-quality bikes that you will be able to ride for a long time and that shouldn’t break. Then we have Cannondale, they make very nice bikes and they work well. They even have a bike that has a shock that is only on one side and on the other side of the tire there is no shock. They also make hardtails, full suspensions, and BMX bikes. Next, there is Orbea they make full suspensions and hardtails. Their bikes are top quality and will be able to ride almost all terrain. Then we have Yeti, they have full suspensions, hardtails, and dirt jumpers. They make very nice bikes. Then there is Santa Cruz. They make hardtails, full suspensions, and dirt jumpers. Their bike are of great quality and work awesome.

So now you have it, the sport of mountain biking is getting bigger than ever. Could we see it as a professional sport in the near future? I guess only time will tell.

If you want to get into mountain biking, you have to have passion; equally like everything else. You might not want to go out and spend thousands of dollars on everything you need to go riding for a week and never go again. So before you decide on getting into it, think if this is something YOU want to do, not just what someone else wants you to do, or whatever the reason might be.

Be prepared Physically and cognitively

Mountain biking can be intense in all aspects. It can be hard on your body and mind. At first, it might feel hard so try going on an effortless trail for a while till you feel ready. You can also try going on a run once in a while to help strengthen your cardiovascular endurance. You could also ride your bike up and down a hill for half an hour every day. To help you mentally you cannot be scared. If you freak out because you are still scared, it’s going to cause you to crash. So if you’re scared of rocks or going downhill or whatever it is then try taking some clinics to get more practice. 

What will you need?

Mountain biking can be very expensive but if you have a passion for it then go for it! To pick out your bike you need to decide why you want to mountain bike. So if you’re going to be doing enduro, make sure to get a bike made for enduro. The way you can tell is mostly by the shocks. They will be a lot stronger and longer than say an e-bike. A good brand that makes enduro bikes is Pivot. They’re amazing!! If you want to do races, then a hardtail is the way to go. Hardtails don’t have the suspension in the middle, just the front so it makes your bike a lot lighter helping you go faster which is good for racing. But if you want the extra suspension then go for a full suspension with a carbon frame. They’re extremely light but also expensive. So I would recommend starting with a hardtail until you feel more confident on the bike. I love fezzari which is locally made in Utah which is very convenient. The fezzari cascade peak is full suspension and has amazing components like a dropper post and amazing hydraulic brakes. Lastly, if you’re just wanting to ride for fun then I would recommend a full suspension. Full suspension bikes make the ride a little more enjoyable. So Pivot, Specialized, Fezzari, and Trek are my top 4 favorite brands. Finally the gear. You need a good helmet. Mountain biking is very dangerous. Please invest in a good helmet and I encourage you to wear it. Some good brands are giro and LEM. But there are lots of good helmets in really any bike shop. But don’t just buy a helmet from Walmart and call it good because your head won’t be good when you crash. Another good gear is shoes. To start, Vans are good because they’re relatively inexpensive and have a good flat base. Once you become more advanced, talk to a worker at a bike shop about clip in’s. You need bibs or padded shorts and also just a good lightweight shirt which you can find both reasonably on amazon to start. 

You Can Do It!

I promise you everything about mountain biking is amazing. You’re absolutely going to crash. Make sure to take some clinics about crashing right (yes you can crash right). Crashing is inevitable so make sure you have a positive attitude about it and appreciate the little things, such as being out on the trail. Some days you might wake up at 6 in the morning and just not want to go. So make some biking friends. They’ll hold you accountable for not going. Push yourself harder and harder each time you go. Don’t get discouraged. Everybody has their good and bad days. If you keep trying and pushing yourself, then eventually you’ll feel a lot more confident with your biking ability.

There are many types of biking in the world, but today’s topic is going to be based on the best ones. From XC to Red Bull racing, these ones are the best:

First is XC mountain biking or cross country which is what I do. In cross country biking you race up to about 50 to 100 people per race and you all start at the same time. It is a pretty hard sport and you have to be in very good shape or else you will get very tired on the uphill because the uphill can get very technical and hard to do. At almost every race there is a person that walks their bike up the hills because they are not in the best of shape so all you have to do is ride a little bit more or ride longer, then you will be able to ride a lot faster and it won’t be as tiring unless you push yourself to your limits. Also, you don’t want to have your shocks very soft because if they are it will make it hard to go faster on the uphill and you want to be fast at the uphill. After all, if you are not then you will be passed on the uphill because there is a lot of people that are fast at the uphill.

Following, there is downhill, for downhill you need to be very fast at the downhill. Also, you need to have very good shocks for your bike or else it will be hard to be able to get through the technical parts of the downhill because the shocks are too hard which makes it bumpier so it makes you slow down. You also need to have a strong bike with very great bikes because if your bike is not strong enough you might get a crack on your bike because the trails might be technical for the bike so that is why you need to have a sturdy bike. You also want to have strong arms so that you can hold yourself on the bike easier and also so that when you are pumping you can pump a lot harder and your arms will not get as tired as easily. Also, you want to have very sturdy wheels because they are taking in the most force from all of the rocks that you are riding on. In some of the downhill races, some of the racers don’t have strong enough tires so the tire tacos and then you have to forfeit.

Next up, we have road biking. Road biking is a very fast biking sport because the racers have bikes that weigh as low as 17 pounds and for a super-light bike, I have a bike at home and it is a pretty nice bike that can sell for about $2000 and my bike weighs about 34 pounds. The average price of a pro biker’s road bike is about $7000. They are very expensive and with the money that you spend on a nice bike like that you can almost buy a car for that price. Also, the pro races have many laps that they have to do which makes them very hard for almost anyone that races them. Some of the races for road biking go from 30 to 200 miles and for me, I have trouble getting 25 miles on the rides that I go on. Also on a road bike, you can go a lot faster than on a mountain bike because the road bikes don’t have any shocks, and on the road, the shocks slow you down because it flexes and takes some of the speed that you would get without shocks away, so it is a lot easier to ride a road bike on the road and sidewalks than it is for a mountain bike.

Then, we have BMX. In BMX you learn how to ride fast on a BMX. You also learn how to jump very long distances. I have a friend and he does BMX and he has been doing it for a very long time, and now he can jump over 25 feet long on a 1 ½ foot tall jump with the right amount of speed. You also have to have very strong legs because it is a lot harder to pedal on a BMX. After all, there is only one hard gear and you cant switch them during the race.

Lastly, there is Red bull. In red bull, you have to hit huge jumps. You also have to be able to go very fast on the downhill or else you won’t be able to hit the jumps with enough speed so you might case it and on some of the jumps are gaps over valleys so if you case the jump there is a huge chance to get hurt or even works you could even die on some of the jumps. It also has many huge drops that can be very tall, there are some that if you mess up the landing you could get very hurt, and then you might not be able to ride for the rest of the season. But also you get a pretty good amount of money for doing something that you like to do so why not do it.
There are many different types of biking sports and these are some of the most popular ones. If you are interested in mountain biking try it out it is a very liked sport and it is something to do so why not try it.
