Music Helps

Do you love listening to music, but your parents tell you to get off your phone and go outside? Do your parents think you’re not happy because you are on your phone listening to music? Well, show them this. Music can definitely make you happy and cheerful. It can make you feel way more positive about things, or maybe even yourself. Why does music help you in any way? Music can change your moods, it helps your mind and stress, you can just have a great time while listening to music, you can make your own music, and it can help you sleep better and more.

Different Moods

In this simple article, it explains what type of music can change your mood, https://www.unr.edu/counseling/virtual-relaxation-room/releasing-stress-through-the-power-of-music#:~:text=Upbeat%20music%20can%20make%20you,these%20personal%20experiences%20with%20music.. In the article it says, “ Upbeat music can make you feel more optimistic and positive about life. A slower tempo can quiet your mind and relax your muscles, making you feel soothed while releasing the stress of the day. Music is effective for relaxation and stress management.” As you can see, when they’re happy, crazy, pumped-up music, you feel happier, more positive, and you are just in a better mood. Which, in fact, makes those around you a better mood too. You affect those people around you just as much. Although, slow, soft, less upbeat, can calm. If you’re stressed, you can listen to that type of music and relax. Clear everything out of your mind, just you and yourself, no negative thoughts.

Help Yourself

In another article, it talks about similar things. In

Many people and children go through that. Music can help you get through tough times. It may not get rid of anxiety fully, but it, as it had said in the other article, can calm you. Anxiety has lots of stress to come with it, so listening to music would help with that. In the same article, it states something relevant to the topic. It says, “‘There are few things that stimulate the brain the way music does,’ says one Johns Hopkins otolaryngologist. ‘If you want to keep your brain engaged throughout the ageing process, listening to or playing music is a great tool. It provides a total brain workout.’” So in this, it explains that you can stay well engaged, or think well throughout your days. When you’re growing up you may lose some thoughts and memories. Music can help with that, it soothes your mind and helps your mind grow stronger.

Just Have Fun

Music not only helps you with many different things, but you can just have a great time jamming out. Either if it’s with friends, or in your darkroom late at night, you can jam out to it. When you do turn on music, you can blast your music, of course, songs that everyone knows, and scream to the top of your lungs. Laugh after having lots of voice cracks, or laugh at the fact that you just let your whole heart out. You don’t have to feel scared, sad, mad, anxious, or happy to listen to music. You can listen to music when you’re bored. Or when you have nothing to do. Listen to music when your siblings are yelling at you and you really just don’t want to listen to them babble. Music cuts their voices out, making you feel like you’re the only thing in the room.

Make your own

You don’t only have to listen to the music other artists have made. Make your own with apps specifically for that. Or even just make it just for that moment, with the tools around you. Make your own music on pianos, trumpets, flutes, guitar, and so much more. Experiment with different things to have some fun. Maybe this is your dream, to become an artist, so work on it, find what you love to do. Although you don’t have to have a dream of becoming an artist, if making music is fun for you, then just entertain yourself. You don’t have to make this a serious thing. Anyways, just go look around your house, or look around an app store. Find those apps to make some catchy tunes.

Sleep more

Have you ever had those nights where you can’t sleep? Either because you are hearing things or because you are just struggling to fall asleep. Well, music can help with that. If you are one that needs sounds to sleep, take whatever music player you have and play that music. Any music that you know will help sleep. Do you hear sketchy sounds when you are trying to sleep? Are they scaring you to the point where you are wide awake? Music can, not only make sounds, but it can stop those scary sounds that are coming from your basement. Turn on that happy music that brightens the mood and makes those sounds disappear like they were never there. Those scary sounds never existed, it’s just you, your bed, and the music

That’s how music can help you and others around you. And why you and your family should always listen to music. It again changes your mood, helps with mental and physical pain, it’s just really fun to listen to, you can definitely make your own music, and last of all, you can sleep better.
