Global warming is when global temperatures increase due to concentrations of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere. Climate change is when wind patterns and precipitation changes the weather over a long period of time. Both global warming and climate change increase the temperature of the earth. These things build up excess heat energy in the earth system. Both climate change and global warming are caused by humans.
Global warming
Global warming is when fossil fuels burn and when cutting down forests and farming livestock. All of these things increase the influencing temperature and climate of the earth. Global warming has a huge impact on this earth, and us. In the article, it says, “This adds enormous amounts of greenhouse gases to those naturally occurring in the atmosphere, increasing the greenhouse effect and global warming.” Global temperature has risen since the 20th century to about the late 1970s.
Climate change
Climate change is a long term thing caused by humans, this goes in shifts with weather patterns and temperature. Climate change can impact people’s health and not in a good way. In the article I read it says, “Conditions like sea-level rise and saltwater intrusion have advanced to the point where whole communities have had to relocate, and protracted droughts are putting people at risk of famine. In the future, the number of “climate refugees” is expected to rise.” Climate exchange cna be a good thing in some ways but it can also be a very bad thing. In the article I read it says Climate change “includes rising sea levels; shrinking mountain glaciers; accelerating ice melt in Greenland, Antarctica and the Arctic; and shifts in flower/plant blooming times. These are all consequences of warming, which is caused mainly by people burning fossil fuels and putting out heat-trapping gases into the air.”
Difference between Global Warming and Climate Change
Global warming and climate change are not the same thing. Most people think that they are but they both are unique and they have their differences. Global warming is just an aspect of climate change, but yet they still do different things. Long term warming of the plant is known to be global warming. “Climate change encompasses global warming, but refers to the broader range of changes that are happening to our planet.“ All in all, global warming and climate change have a huge impact on the earth and us as people.
