Jim Jones Massacre

On may 13 1931 Jim Jones was born

Jim Jones was born in a small city called Crete this city is in Indiana. 

When Jim Jones was growing up he and his mother moved to Richmond, Indiana for financial help where Jim would work at a hospital in 1946.

 

 Jim went to church but didn’t really like it. Until he went to a church for colored people he was amazed the people at the church were so happy they were singing and clapping and having a good time. Jim loved the church. So in  1954 in Indianapolis Indiana Jimwas the founder to a church called the people church

A lot of people loved this church because it included colored and white people. So there was no segregation which was a big thing back then. The church was called the peoples temple.

 

One of the things that happened at the people’s temple that made people love and be more attracted to the church was that in the audience Jim would send a girl in a wheelchair up and pray then the girl would stand up. These were staged Jim just wanted to make more money and have more people to come. Jim did the same thing with cancer patients where they would pray over them and magically they don’t have cancer anymore . In reality they didn’t have cancer to begin with, same with the people in wheelchairs. 

 

Around the time when the peoples temple was around 10-15 years in the running, Jim started wearing these thick black glasses, kind of the style of aviators but more box shaped. The reason why Jim was wearing these glasses was because he did drugs. People suspect he wasn’t addicted to them but he took them enough for him to be sensitive to light. Or people have suspected that he didn’t want people to see his blood shot eyes. 

 

At this point Jim relocated to California where there were 7 churches and his wife (Carolyn Moore Layton) would help him run the church. At this point the church has been running for 17-20 years and has more than 20,000 people in the church but 5000-3000 was way more likely we don’t really know. Jim did make the headquarters in San Francisco. Around the year 1977 Jim was talking to the people about having a city for his church in guyana which is a country in south america. He starts telling people about the trip. Like I’m going to Guyana to start a city called Jones town. Anyone is welcome! 

 

If you decide to go on the trip that was the biggest mistake of your life because this is were one of the most well known mass suicide happened. 

 

People were hopping on planes and taking the longish trip down to South America to go to

guyana. Most of Jim’s followers went but some of them stayed behind. People love Jones town. It has everything: religion , food , water , shelter , and warmth. It was close to one thousand people living down there

 

About 6 months some people were not feeling right. Tracy didn’t want to go to Jonestown but her dad insisted. It will be fun, he would say to her. In the later months the dad did not feel right. In a safety check were this one man came to Jonestown, The dad and the family asked if he could take them home he said yes but when they were boarding the planes two guys shot  them so the guy doing the safety check the mom and like 5 other people died so the kids ran into the jungle to wait tell someone else came to the town to rescue them. The kids and the dad survived and told their story later. 

 

A couple days later Jim supposed that more people would come to the town because of the shooting so what he did was he got buckets of potassium cyanide that was were they all eat and starting pouring it into this fruit punch drink that people have referred to kool-aid while people were drinking the kool-aid Jim was preaching to everyone. He said that people were coming to the town and they were going to kill everybody so just drink the drink and it’s way more moral. If you did not drink the drink they would shoot you in the head because there was a guard right next to  the kool-aid bucket 

 

In reality no one was supposed to go to the town. People have just speculated that Jim has always had a plan to kill his followers. The death toll was roughly 909 people dead but there was likely way more. Most of the deaths were middle aged to young kids that died. In the end the guards drank the kool-aid and Jim Jones shot himself in the head because that’s a less painful way to die.

Why Every Girl Folds Over Timothee Chalamet

If you have TikTok or any social media or even if you have been to the movies in the past year you probably know who Timothee Chalamet is. Timothee Chalamet is a american-french actor that has recently appeared in big movies such as Wonka, Dune part one, Dune part, Call me by your name and Little women just to name a few. 

 

When Wonka was released all over TikTok there were teenage girls folding over this man but why? Well it is simple this man is gorgeous. 

 

Reason 1 

Why is this man so gorgeous though? There are a lot of reasons for this beauty wise he has the proportions of a man like chiseled cheekbones and a sharp jawline, But to even all this out he also has some feminine features so he doesn’t look like one of those alpha males. His feminine features are he has a small nose and almond shaped eyes.

 

 Reason 2

 Why these girls and mostly everyone seems to find him pretty is the roles he has played in his movies. In Call Me by Your Name it’s about these two boys Elio played by Timothee and Oliver played by Armie Hammer they fall in love but Oliver is 25 and Elio is 19.  In romantic movies like these people find him more attractive because he is in these settings that are really hot and people just seem that way. 

Reason 3  

Timothee Chalamet has a unique personality when watching Timothee talking or being interviewed. It’s easy to stop what you’re doing and listen because his voice and the way he talks and answers questions is so intriguing. Timothee is also really funny in his interviews that makes the viewers feel like he is talking to them in real life and it’s really attractive.

 

Reason 4 

His tender cute ways of talking and his personality is absolutely amazing but also combined with his kindness and gratitude is amazing. There is this one interview where these two little girls were interviewing Timothee and the whole time he was nothing but kind and cracking out jokes. At the end of the interview the one of the girls said to Timothee “Timothee you’re such a peach!” and indeed Timothee is. 

 

In conclusion people and all these girls are folding or like Timothee Chalamet because he has mixed facial features floppy hair he is kind funny and talkies in a really calm tender voice that people love. He also has been in movies that are meant to make people feel good and loved because they are romance movies. Such as Call Me By Your Name. And at the end the heartbreak and sadness makes you feel bad Timothee’s charter so it it just makes you feel even more attracted to Timothee Chalamet.

How Swating Could be More Dangerous Than Safe

Swatting occurs when there is a false report about a gun or a gunfire, or a harm/threat to someone or something. There have been many incidents were there’s a false report, then SWAT comes to terrify everyone. When there is a false report, SWAT doesn’t know, so they come in aggressively, and create more harm than safety. Some people have ended up dead or dangerously injured from these SWAT/police officers, when there was no real danger in the first place.    

There have been studies saying that Swatting increases the likelihood of harm, when their job is supposed to protect us and help us feel safe. But are they actually doing what they’re meant to do?

 

With SWAT’s aggression, they board up exits, so people can’t get out of the situation, causing way more harm and chaos than safety, especially in false situations. Which is the opposite of what they’re supposed to do. 

With Nikki Halley, she has stated that SWAT has come into her house before and has put a lot of harm on her and her neighbors. She’s opened up the details on the swatting incident that happened to her, in her home in south Carolina, and has stated “this wasn’t the first time it has happened.” Nikki says that she and her husband were not there when SWAT showed up, but her elderly parents were there. SWAT could have done way more harm to her parents, especially because they were elderly.

Nikki states that “I will tell you that the last thing you want is to see multiple law enforcement officials with guns drawn, pointing at my parents, and thinking something happened.” then she stated “It wasn’t the first time it happened.” which in these types of situations, especially with Nikki’s, it could be extremely scary.

 

 These same situations have happened to thousands of people, that didn’t get the chance to share their story about these scary encounters with the law informant 

 

In other incidents, Swatting has led to deaths. One of them, in Wichita Kansans, Andrew Finch had a false alarm of a man shooting and killing his family members while holding them hostage. SWAT was outside his house, so when he opened the door, and walked out, he was shot to death with a sniper. This is one of the many stories that have shown us that swatting can turn fatal. Which in a real scenario could require a SWAT team, but in false cases have the same outcome. 

 

Officials have been swatting on their highest levels earlier this month, SWAT was called to the white house due to a false report of a fire. President Biden wasn’t present in the white house, as he was currently at Camp David. While he was there, local elections were getting threats from people who don’t trust the vote counting system.

In Arizona a republican man has been suspected of threats after the 2020 election results. He’s decided that he will not seek reelection.

 

There are violent threats where SWAT is required, and is there to keep people safe. Such as the incident on January 6th, 2021, where SWAT was needed to protect the people in office. That was the day when an angry mob of pro-trump people stormed the capitol, threatening to kill people in office, and stop the election certification. In these situations we need SWAT, but their aggression killed people that day.

The SWAT has killed people or almost killed people for false reports in the past. So how can we fix this?

Was the LVIII super bowl staged??

At the 2024 super bowl that happened last night people are saying the game was staged.

An American linebacker tweeted  “NFL is basically the WWE now. All scripted. Fixed. They pick who they want to win. It’s all for entertainment & honestly I don’t even know why I watch & care so much. It’s all fake.”

His tweet was largely met with counter-attacks, as many citizens commented under his post: “The words of a man that lost a bet.” While sports fans were busy raising a heated debate against him, political links went big over Joe Biden’s reaction to the Taylor Swift conspiracy theory.

After tying and going into overtime. 

People are saying it’s staged  because the chiefs won after three seconds and they went to overtime 6 seconds before the game ended. Which is really crazy.

The San Francisco 49ers were only in the lead because of a field goal. So the chiefs would make a touch down and be in the lead. That’s how they kept getting back in  the lead. When Taylor swift went on the Saturday night live show Collins said to Taylor

“As you might have seen on your aunt’s Facebook, MAGA personalities are claiming that the

Super Bowl is being rigged so Kansas City wins, and Taylor Swift can come on to the stage with Travis Kelce and endorse Joe Biden. MAGA people have so many folks to keep track of. You have to hate the NFL, Taylor Swift, Bud Light, Disney, Kristen Stewart, electric stoves, windmills, the concept of rainbows, and the green M&M…” 

But this was all supposed to be a joke and not taken seriously.

These “conspiracy theories” are not actually proven. People have just been talking about them on the internet because of how close the LVIII super bowl was.

Also Taylor swift kissed Travis Kelce after the chiefs won the super bowl. The super bowl was her 13 game and she has shown up with Travis Kelce.

Which according to Swiftys, Taylors number is 13 and everything that is big or ironic as happened on something with a thirteen or revolving thirteen so this could be huge. 

After they kissed Taylor and Travis started whispering to one another then walked back arm to arm. Then to excite the crowd Kelce threw his hat into the crowd of people. 

Travis Kelce has stated that he was in it for the long run when asked about Swift and Kelce dating. Travis Kelce is “just a really good dude” according to Patrick Mahomes After Patrick’s first impressions., he has also said that “it’s been awesome to see Travis Kelce’s relationship grow” 

Dwayne the rock Johnson also has added to the conversation about their relationship by saying “Love it”

why owala cups are better then Stanley cups

So if you have been on the internet or even been at school or in public you probably know what a Stanley cup or the Stanley tumbler is, But i know a water bottle that is better and is recently becoming viral with the crash of Stanleys. 

 

A Stanley tumbler is a tumbler that became really popular on TikTok in 2019-2023,

After a woman named Danielle posted on TikTok when her car was on fire she went back to see if her Stanley was destroyed and she found her burn melted Stanley in her car and she shook it and there was still ice in it. After she posted the video the company of Stanley saw the video and bought her a new car. Then after that every teen girl and preppy mom were buying these cups. These girls and moms became so dependent on these cups that people were getting violent at the target trying to buy these cups. They have also bought little accessories for their cups like chains bags and little toppers so the water does not spill. 

 

Even though everyone thought these cups were always going to be trendy, that was not the case. In recent weeks people have not been buying these cups and less posts are about them and the Stanley sales have plummeted. People there seem not as interested in the cups anymore. It’s like what happened to hydro flasks in 2017-2019 where they were so popular and every one had one but now basically no one had hydro flasks and if you do then they are not “trendy” or popular.

 

There is a water bottle in my opinion that is better than Stanleys and hydro flasks that water bottle is Owala there one water bottle the FreeSip twist water bottle is trending rn for being way easier to drink out of you can drink through the straw or you can pour it into your mouth because of the design. The Owala FreeSip twist also is leak proof so if you accidentally tip over your Owala in class you would not get water everywhere then if you tipped over a Stanley in class. Many people might say to just put the Stanley toppers on but that’s extra money and i have

found these barely work and they are just a hassle. 

 

If you are co paring the two water bottles to one another Owala wins the more portable test for being smaller and the handle is on the top then the side so it’s easy to carry around then a Stanley that gives people wrist pain if they hold their water bottles for two long. The isolation test maybe shocking but Owala wins because of the accuracy of the isolation it stays a little bit colder for longer. The function test Owala wins for being more funcanable with the two drinking methods and the leak proof lid. The better value test Owala prices the 24 oz water bottle is 28$ but the 40 oz is 37$ which is three dollars less than the Stanley and considering that the owala is more functionable and Stanley is going out of style then i prefer the Owala better than the Stanley.

 

There is a catch though the Stanley water bottle did win the stylish test but considering that little girls are being made fun of for having Stanleys because they’re out of trend and the stereotype of if you have a Stanley you’re a rude little girl then i would buy an Owala though. 

 

In conclusion Owala water bottles are getting trendier and they are starting to boom way more than Stanleys because of their easy leak free design. The Stanley cup in recent months has started to plummet down in popularity because of the trend getting out of hand. So Owala is the better water bottle.

There are some fashion trends that were big in 2023 and some of them are going to be big in 2024 but some are going to be left behind in 2023. 

The trends that are going to be left behind in 2023

Stanley Tumblers

Hear me out the OG Stanley looks ugly and they are going way down in sales also Stanleys are so overrated there are better water bottles that go better with your fits. The only Stanley that goes good with a fit is the ones with the handle on the top that does not leak. The water bottle i have for my fits is a Owala and i have seen first hand that more people have Owalas know then Stanleys. 

Crocs

 Crocs used to be ok but now they’re just ugly and you look like you are a nurse that works twelve hours a day. If you can style your crocs better than they look ok with some fits but if you were crocs with no socks or no show socks that’s disgusting and looks terrible.

Skinny Jeans

If you are a guy and are wearing skinny jeans with holes or just skinny jeans in general then you need to change your style because skinny jeans look really bad on guys especially when they have holes and you have hairy legs like eww. Instead you can wear the more in style baggy pants or pants that just fit like not too baggy but not too tight. 

Really thick soles on your converse.

If you haven’t seen the really short girls wear these thick converse that make them at least two inches taller than you lucky because these converse look really bad in any outfit and i don’t see them being around in 2024. Instead just the regular converse they look way better and they are way more comfortable.

Nikes without Socks

If you wear high tops without socks like converse Nikes or and high length shoes like that, this has to stop. It looks so bad the same as having no show socks with literally any outfit it looks really bad, so just switch to mid length socks or calf length socks or the longer socks. 

The Trends that are Staying in 2024 

Nikes

Nikes have been in style for ever basically and in recent years the Nike blazers and

The Nike Air Jordans have been booming like it seems that everyone has these so if you don’t want to be basic then i would stay away for Nikes but they look good with fits so I don’t think there leaving the trend anytime soon.

Baggy hoodies and baggy pants.

You can not go wrong with a pair of baggy pants with a cropped jersey or crop top. Same with the baggy hoodie everyone has been wearing baggy hoodies with mid fit pants or over booty shorts which look good for any fits so these aren’t leaving the trend anytime soon either.

Birkenstocks

These shoes are really expensive for a sandal or the clogs and the clogs look really ugly but I have a pair and they look good with basically any fit and they are so easy to take on and off. These shoes, especially the sandals have been big for years but if you wear them with no socks that’s ugly you should wear Nike socks or just some calf length/ mid length socks. I don’t think these are going to be in trend for long especially for the clogs because they’re ugly but as of right now they’re really trendy. 

Hair Styles

This one is for the guys.

When it comes to hairstyles there are so many to choose from but there is one haircut that’s better than the others and that haircut is poufy hair. To get poufy hair takes way more effort then others like a perm but just get a regular haircut with layers then buy this powder that if you put in hair and mix it into your hair it will immediately make your hair puffy and look good extra points if you have longer hair. Or you can take a straightener and curl up throughout your entire hair then put some hair spray on. 

For a girl’s hair

You got to know your hairstyle so it looks good personally right now i have curtain bangs with straight hair. You could style your hair in many different ways like long straight hair long hair with heat less curls curtain bangs with loose curls braids afro the list literally goes on. To find out what hairstyle will best fit  you you need to figure out your hair velocity and what type so 1a- 4c and everything in between. You can look up what hair type you have from looking at charts and testing your velocity.( Guys should also do this)

 In conclusion these are trends that I feel like and others feel that will follow into 2024 and some should just stay in 2023 forever.
