Reasons you should play Project Sekai [PJSK]

Reasons you should play Project Sekai [PJSK]

Reasons you should play Project Sekai [PJSK]

1. There’s vocaloid

If you don’t know what vocaloid is, it’s basically a singing voice synthesizer. So it’s like a robot singing, but it sounds cool, just trust me. And also, they have live concerts with the vocaloids! It’s pretty cool because they use holograms and stuff and this also applies to Project Sekai because there’s short shows where you can see your favorite characters perform songs you love.

2. There’s fun charts

If you don’t know what a ‘chart’ is, It’s basically how the notes are placed as you play the song.
For example, there’s this video of Egoist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ElFTNbi4Bk8
Sure, it might look difficult to do, but there are easier modes to play on like easy, normal and hard mode. Also, difficult songs like these are great for practicing to play on expert and eventually playing on master.

3. The characters in the game have lore

The characters in the game aren’t just there to make the songs and perform, but they have their own backstory and their groups have their own stories to go with them. For example, there’s many events that go on each year that focus on a certain group and provide some lore for that group. The lore for the characters are also very well thought out and do affect them later in their life and the other characters around them, not just being there to make you pity them.

4. The game has your favorite songs from vocaloid

If you are already familiar with vocaloid, then your favorite and popular songs are in the game! Perfect examples of this would be Aishite Aishite Aishite, The Intense Voice of Hatsune Miku as well as The End of Hatsune Miku, Ghost rule, Tell your world, World is Mine, Luka Luka Night Fever, and many, many more. Plus, new songs get released every week, and cover songs don’t get released as often but they’re just as amazing.

5. PJSK has a large fan-base

Ever since 2020, the game has been growing a huge and accepting fan-base where you can express yourself as much as you like. Although the fan-base isn’t perfect, but every fandom deals with this and usually people are very accepting of newer players and people who aren’t as good at the game.

6. It’s easy to get currency in PJSK

Despite Project Sekai being a gacha game, The cards are fairly easy to get and not to mention, absolutely beautiful. You can get currency by playing songs, show missions that if you complete, you can get 3,000 crystals. there are more missions in the normal tab where you can get a total of 1,050 crystals if you complete them all. Challenge shows are also a good option, and if you are a beginner player, there’s a beginner login campaign where you can get 300 crystals each day you log in for 13 days which totals to 3,900 crystals. There’s also 7 virtual shows offered to new players and if you watch them all, you can get another 2,100 crystals. If you read all the main stories for each unit in the game, you can get a total of 6,00 crystals because you get 50 crystals for each episode and there’s 120 episodes including all the units. How do I unlock the stories? You may be asking and you can clear live shows to unlock each episode. You can also read area conversations that give you 10 crystals each.

Teen Mental Health Crises

Teen Mental Health Crises

Suicide, self-harm, depression, and anxiety are more prevalent in American teens in recent times. American teens are undergoing somewhat of a metamorphosis hence invoking more suicide numbers.

This article has multiple mentions of suicide and self-ham. Reader discretion is advised.

The amount of youth on social media has skyrocketed. A study done in 2018 shows that 97% of people between the ages of 13-18 are on social media and 45% are online constantly.  Studies find that the over usage of social media makes youth insecure. They see people living life and get, in a sense, jealous. This triggers an insecurity factor and insecurity causes more stress and anxiety. More info here

In the early 2010’s there was a noticeable decline in mental health among teens. With the covid outbreak in 2020, there was more usage on social media. Now there is a decline in mental health in teenagers, now more than ever.

Background

The rise of technology and mobile phones and social media started in the early 2000s. It was started in 2003 by MySpace. It was then followed by Face Book in 2004 then Twitter in 2006 and then Instagram in 2010. There was a change in the way the world worked when these platforms were introduced. There was a study conducted in 2007 amongst people the ages of 18-85, and the results show that mental disorders were at 20% and anxiety were at 14.4%. If interested in the whole report click here. In 2021, that percentage has gone up by almost 3 percent. This isn’t counting the amount of undiagnosed depression and anxiety disorders.

But the number of teens committing suicide as a result of depression is a huge issue. Suicide was the second leading cause of death of ages 15-24 in the U.S and 20% of High School students reported suicidal thoughts An unlucky 9% tried acting on those thoughts. 11% of young adults also reported having serious suicidal thoughts. For more detailed information this website has some useful things. The website is meant as a guide to the mental health journey. It isn’t directly for social media usage and what not but it is very informational.

The numbers among this age group are in direct correlation with social media and technology usage. All the social media platforms were emerging and growing as people that are now young adults were kids. Now, the youth today have those social media platforms in a more developed form.

Change

How do we change and break this dangerous cycle? It starts with limiting social media usage for example: putting a time limit on TikTok. Or limiting how long screen time is for example: having a designated time in the day to read, spend time with family and friends, and/or doing a hobby that doesn’t involve a screen.

Encourage friends to do the same. Encourage them to set goals for themselves and live a more healthy lifestyle.

Of course there are more factors than social media and there can be a combination of factors contributing to depression but there are still a lot of cases where social media is making them more depressed. Social media is designed to make sure that the user doesn’t put it down. So much so that many states are suing social media platforms. But this hook that social media creates, destroys children’s mental health and is putting them in a vulnerable emotional state.

Help

If going through something like suicidal thoughts, self harming thoughts, or anything that involves harm to ones self there are resources that are free. The National Suicide Prevention Hotline number is 988 and the National Substance/Mental Health Hotline is (800) 662-4357.

On a smaller scale, the Utah number for Suicide Prevention/Mental Health Hotline is  1-800-273-8255. Additionally the SafeUt App is a very helpful resource.

Don’t be afraid to call if you find yourself in a type of situation of which you put your own wellbeing at risk. Don’t be afraid to call and reach out to them if a friend or loved one is experiencing serious suicidal thought.

Conclusion

It’s not terrible to have social media but it is the usage of social media that starts to become dangerous. Evaluate personal usage and identify that problem. The many cases of children being victim to manipulation, insecurities, and/or depression due to their social media usage is heartbreaking. The time for change is long overdue and it rests on our shoulders.

Motorsport And Racing

Motorsport And Racing

Motorsport and racing

Motor sports have been around for a long time and started basically when vehicles were made. Many vehicle companies try to make the fastest vehicle and beat other companies’ records while others try to win racing sometimes they do both though. Not just cars are a part of Motorsports motorcycle, dirt bikes, airplanes, trucks, and boats, some common some not you may never have even thought boat racing was a thing!

Car Motorsport (Track)

Car Motorsport is the most common and is very popular. It includes track racing, rallying, drag racing, and street/road racing. It all started when cars were made and people modified them to go faster. A lot of people tried to test cars but have crashed and died. One of the most popular races is the 24 hours of Le Mans in Italy. They even made a movie about it called ‘Ford v Ferrari’ and it was pretty popular. Sometimes the cars have to do timed races which is where one car at a time goes on a track and they see who gets the fastest time. In Nascar racing, they mostly have cars go in a big oval shaped track. In F1 racing, they usually do it in all places around the world and they use normal streets and use them as tracks after they block them off.

 Car Motorsport (Rallying)

Many people are also familiar with rallying, which is dirt racing. Many people use small but fast cars made to work on the dirt without slipping or crashing (even though sometimes they do). The most popular rally race in history is Panzer Platte, Rally Deutschland. Rallying is also very dangerous and hard but they still try to make the cars as safe but fast and good as possible. Rallying is also a pretty old Motorsport and has been around for a pretty long time.

Motorcycle Motorsport (Track)

The motorcycle was made in 1885 one of the most popular is Harley Davidson. The first of the races started in 1903 and became very popular. Motorcycle racing is also extremely dangerous and has killed many racers. Motorcycles are also fast and can corner very well. The most famous motorcycle race is the Isle of man TT.

Dirt Bike racing (Dirt)

Dirt bikes are motorcycles but made for dirt racing or just messing around but, dirt bike racing can also be dangerous. Some people are super good at riding dirt bikes and they can do tricks on them, those people most likely go to the X-games.

Baja racing (Dirt)

Baja racing is big but light and fast trucks (or buggies) that race in the dirt. Baja racing is pretty safe because the trucks have roll cages (metal frame inside the truck) in them to keep the driver safe if they flip or roll. Baja racing started in 1967 and is still a popular Motorsport and the biggest event for it is the Baja 1000.

Plane racing (Air)

Plane racing mostly consists of planes with propellers but are made to go fast. In plane racing they either have checkpoints that each plane has to go through (one at a time) and they see who can go the fastest, or they have long distance racing where the planes need to go from point A to point B.

Boat racing (Water)

Boat racing is not a very popular sport a lot of people don’t know or care about, but it still can be an interesting Motorsport. The boats are either small and fast or big and fast. Usually the boats have to complete laps around a lake, ocean, or reservoir.

The Harmful Effects of Vaping and How Social Media Plays a Role in Vaping

Currently, more than 2.5 million high school and middle school students use some kind of vape product. Most teens try to find a way to escape their lives, so they start to vape. Social media has a big role in teenagers’ lives. It can have such a negative impact on young people’s mental health when they use it wrong. That’s when a vape addiction can start.

Social media

At some point in your life, you’re going to be in front of a screen. You might be viewing your friend’s prom picture or watching a funny video on YouTube. The lists are endless. What if you took it all away? Social media just suddenly disappears, would you be sad, happy, angry. Most teens would most likely be mad, I would be mad to be honest. But  much it would help? Without social media you don’t have to live up to everyone’s expectations. You wouldn’t have those late nights when you’re up all night wishing you were someone else.

Most teens find themselves scrolling on TikTok. The more they are trapped under the addiction of their screens, the more depressed teens get. This is where vaping comes in. When you’re depressed and don’t know how to find your way out, or think no one actually cares about you, you turn to something you find comfort in.

Vaping works like cigarettes, you take one or two puffs and it makes you feel happy, it gives your body dopamine. Then after a little bit your dopamine runs out and you vape more. It gets to the point where your body can’t make its own dopamine because your body thinks you’re getting enough from your vape. So your body stops making dopamine so you feel trapped and sad.

There’s a really good video that helps portray addiction. It’s called “Nuggets” by Filmbilder and Friends. It starts where a duck named Kiwi takes a gold nugget substance. He feels so happy, he feels like he’s floating. The more he takes the gold stuff though, the more it gets dark around him, and the more he cant get back up and the more he feels like he’s trapped.

“Nuggets by filmbilder and friends”

The industry is fricked. It’s so easy for teens to get cigarettes, vapes, or just any kind of addictive product. Nowadays there’s kids who sell them at school, or buy them at a store with a fake id. The companies are targeting kids like me and you. All the colors make them look pretty. How easy they are to get, or how they make them disposable and disguise them as highlights, markers, and stuffed toys.

Why are they doing this?

Vaping as an adult isn’t illegal, but they’re not targeting the adults, they’re targeting the teens. The industries disguise them as something else so you won’t get in trouble and you can keep buying. They make them disposable so if you’re in trouble you can just throw your vape away. The industries say they’re trying to fix things, but they’re not, they’re making it worse. Same goes with Instagram and any other social media.

They say you have to be thirteen, but it’s so easy to lie about your age, for heaven’s sake, I lied about my age a few years ago. They say they take them down, but why am I not down yet? There’s nine year olds thinking they are talking to other nine year olds. But in reality its old people who want to hurt them. The same goes with teenagers who talk to strangers. One slip up and you can get kidnapped or blackmailed.

This can all relate back to where you started. The first page on your Instagram. The constant scrolling, the constant hours spent on your device trying to be someone you don’t even know, till you break. When you feel like know one cares about you, except your little device that you always keep in your pocket.

Teens + Social Media: A Bad Match

Teens + Social Media: A Bad Match

Social media is unhealthy and bad for teens because social media has harmful effects on teens mentally. Some of these effects can include: increased risk of being cyber-bullied, and an increased risk of anxiety and depression. More effects can include increased risk of exposure to dangerous things or people, which leads to an increased risk of a privacy breach.

When teens are on social media they can be cyber-bullied. There are several reasons for a teen to be cyber-bullied. For example, if the teen shares something personal that someone else could use to tease or make fun of the teen; or if something the teen shares gets out, it could lead to rumors being spread.

Another reason social media is bad for teens is that an online predator could start going after them. When this happens, they then get low self-esteem, and this can lead to depression.

Teenager Phone Pictures | Download Free Images on Unsplash Teens have an increased risk of anxiety and depression when on social media. This is because they can get cyber-bullied. This can lead to them getting false expectations about their body and life. Additionally they can get incorrect information and opinions, and they can hear or see things such as violence, suicide, and drug use. The impact of all of these things becomes bigger the more teens use social media. Because all of these things can make a teen feel anxious and depressed, these things can lead to homework not getting done, causing a decrease in school grades, as well as a loss of friendships due to teens being distant, and teens overall feeling disappointed in themselves. If teens get false expectations about their bodies and lives, they get a low self-esteem and could stop eating. Which is extremely unhealthy, especially since teens are still growing. If teens get incorrect information and opinions they could start to think that some bad things are okay. This has an increased risk of happening if they see things like violence, suicide, and drug use. If teens are getting false expectations about their body and life, as well as getting incorrect information, teens can start leaving their homework incomplete, and start doing significantly worse in school. They can also start distancing themselves from their friends and even their family. All of this can just make everything worse, causing them to go on social media even more. Which will make all of the effects worse, which leads them to use more social media in a vicious cycle.

On social media, teens can be exposed to extremely dangerous things or people. This is due to the fact that anybody has access to social media, and anybody can post. Some platforms limit what a person can post, and check posts for bad things, but not all platforms do. Not only can harmful things be displayed or said, but if a teen overshares, or shares personal information they can be harmed in real life. Many teens post on social media, and they may accidentally let information slip leading to a privacy breach. This can lead to people coming to their neighborhood, school, or home. That then can lead to kidnapping or an attack on the teen. This on its own is super dangerous to teens, especially if they don’t have the knowledge of the damage that sharing too much information can do.

Yes, social media can have its benefits. Like letting teens express themselves and letting them contact their friends. But social media is dangerous, and if you’re not careful harmful effects can happen. If you use social media, make sure you know the danger, and are careful, because it can be a good thing.

Everyone should know the dangers of social media, especially teens. If you read this article, share the information. Make sure that everyone knows that social media can increase the risk of being cyberbullied and increase the risk of anxiety and depression. As well as increase the risk of exposure to dangerous things and people.

Why Kids Need Screen Time Limits

Why Kids Need Screen Time Limits

Kids, no matter if you hate them or not, can’t be on social media. Social media or Roblox or even any other game is damaging their brains. They can’t get off their screens and it’s turning them into little devils.

Some people think of kids nowadays as cute little innocent people. Not iPad babies, when a kid is grown up, slacked off and they get whatever they want you as a parent have created the devil.

Parents are the fault of creating these devils. As a parent you have to set boundaries you can’t just slack off on your kids and give them whatever they want. When you do this you make your kids think the world revolves around them when in reality it doesn’t. That’s how you get iPad babies or 10 year old Sephora girlies.

This is why kids need limits on screen time and no social media. When you create a screen time you set boundaries as a parent which then doesn’t mess them up. The possibilities are endless. Kids get better sleep, they go outside more, they can get less depressed, and most importantly they don’t turn into little devils.

So in reality these kids are messed up. Most of the time it’s the parents fault because they are not parenting and they give their kids whatever they wish for and it creates demands. We will see what happens to these kids but it does not look good for them.

Scorched Earth Review

Scorched Earth Review

What is Ark Survival Evolved

Ark Survival Evolved is a multiplayer, or a single player survival game. depending on where you chose to spawn you may be in a mountain, or low flats. You will also notice you’ll have a somewhat triangular shaped object embedded in your hand. This thing helps you access your inventory and your levels. Throughout the game you will come across many challenges such as caves. Caves are a deadly place where you find artifacts, you need them to fight bosses. And this isn’t a normal survival game, it is a survival game with dinosaurs of all sizes and shapes.

What is Scorched Earth?

Scorched Earth is one of the many dlcs there is to the game. Scorched earth consists of a barren wasteland with very limited water. This dlc adds to the lore and game play of the game. Throughout the game special events may happen, a thunderstorm, a dust cloud, or maybe a heat wave will hit your land. The thunderstorms will fill the morellatops water and your water too. However, the bad effect is your electrical equipment like ac or refrigerators, will no longer work until it’s over. The sandstorm will reduce your water, and stamina quickly. The heatwave will give you heatstroke if you’re in the open, and your water and health will go down if you don’t act fast.

The Terrain.

The terrain has many different areas. For example, a dunes, wasteland, oasis, badlands, canyon, and more. Most of the map is made of very high mountains with rare dinosaurs like the giganotosaurus. Some land is sticking straight up in the air. Other places are low and lead to a cave but if you take a wrong turn you’ll be in the canyon forever. Or at least until you find a way out. Most of the map is made of two areas nicknamed: the inner, and the outer. The nicknames just push most biomes into one making it easier to locate things. In the outer you’ll find only sand and the occasional ruins and oasis, sometimes a water vein. In the inner, you’ll find mainly high mountains and much more water than the outer. Around the inner you can find plenty of oil, and metal which will be vital for just about everything. Most caves, ⅔ lie in the inner part of the map.

inner and outter lair of scorched earth

The Boss

The boss in scorched earth is the Manticore. The Manticore in the ark has the head of a lion, and body, the tail is a scorpion, and the wings are from a griffin. This boss is easier than the brood-mother on the island. It has less health however it balances out with it doing more damage than the brood-mother. It also has the power to make your dinosaurs pass out, don’t worry about it, they’ll wake up in 5 – 15 minutes. The Manticore also possesses the ability to breath fire however that is very unlikely to happen.

What Would I Rate it?

I would personally rate scorched earth a ⅘ since it has very beautiful terrain from Wyvern trenches to the boss and good challenges to get the artifacts. I even love the new creatures that are special to that map or make a return from the island. Overall I would recommend buying this dlc to ark survival evolved if you would want to.

My Favorite Top 5 Wii Games

The Wii is a console made by Nintendo, it was a fairly popular console and my family owned one. We had many games on the Wii at the time since there weren’t any other consoles out at the time that they liked. and out of the somewhat 35 games we had, I had a top 5.

Number five: Donkey Kong country returns

Donkey Kong country returns was one of my favorite games I have ever played. The game starts out with a cut scene with some Tikis stealing donkey Kong’s bananas, then once the screen pans up to donkey Kong’s house you can shake the Wii remote to whack a Tiki out of the house then the game will start. The game has different sections of the island that climb up a mountain Each section has a temple and in all the 71 levels there are letters that spell “KONG”. there are seven sections and a secret area in total. after beating the main game by now through every section you’ve probably noticed that there are temples that offer a challenge. if you manage to complete a challenge you receive an orb, collect all eight and you will unlock the eight world which is a temple a golden one filled with bananas.

Number four: Mario Kart Wii

Mario Kart Wii is a popular game that is still popular today with people on YouTube making more mods, custom tracks, than ever before. the game Mario Kart Wii is a racing type game that offers a variety of Nintendo characters and tracks. the hardest tracks are in the special cup being, dry dry ruins, moon view highway, bowser castle, and rainbow road. Not only is the grand Prix (a regular race) one of the options that also offer solo racing for practicing, you can race against actually Nintendo creators who added their ghost to the game then you can add your own if you beat theirs or if you complete the race. there is also a coin battle and balloon battle that is extremely fun and each different battle has their own unique maps. And you can also do a team race.

Number three: New Super Mario Bros Wii

New super Mario bros Wii is a the last New super Mario bros game before Mario bros wonder came out. this game had eight worlds and a secret ninth world. you go through different sections that have their own unique power ups such as the penguin. Through these worlds you fight the koopalings throughout the worlds with Ludwig being the hardest. though the special world it really likes to test your game skills in each unique level that has less ground, more enemies.

Number two: Super Mario Galaxy 2

Super Mario galaxy 2 a great 3D adventure game adding quite the challenge through levels that require using a Wii remote to fly, and swim. This game also has eight worlds with a secret ninth as usual. this game takes place at peaches castle before bowser attacks, he eventually kidnaps her and he leaves you somewhat stranded on a space ship where lumas are. A luma is a star-like creature that has black eyes and can be a variety of colors. after you complete the game this is where your skill are really going to be needed after completing the few levels on galaxy nine you go to champions road which tests everything and I mean everything you have learnt and you get one life before you die and have to restart from the beginning since there are no checkpoints.

Number one: Super Mario Galaxy

The best and the classic Super Mario Galaxy. this follows a similar path like Mario galaxy 2 with a ninth galaxy except in this game you are on Rosalina’s ship and you get to plants by using a terrace, Lumas are in this game too except more colors such as, red, blue, green, black, purple. through this game you travel to the center of the universe to fight Bowser. after this the special world is full of great and fun worlds that challenge you, for example one of them is a collapsing mountain being consumed by lava as you scale it to reach a power star.

These are my favorite games based on experience and I still play them to this day.

Are we Alone?

Are we Alone?

Have you ever looked up at the night sky and wondered, Are we alone? That is something that everyone wonders in their daily lives.

In the Article, Are we alone? Published by ExoplanetsNasa.com it states, “The search for life beyond Earth is really just getting started, but science has an encouraging early answer: there are plenty of planets in the galaxy, many with similarities to our own. But what we don’t know fills volumes”. That shows that there Could Very possibly be life outside our solar system and even galaxies.

What do you think?

There are so many possibilities And different Reasons to believe that there are more than just one planet with life forms. Weather It’s based on your religion, beliefs, Or even facts. It is proven that there has to be life somewhere in this universe and multitude of universes.

In a similar article published by, Scientificamerican.com It states the following,  Astronomers estimate that there are some 100 billion to 200 billion galaxies in the universe—averaging 100 million stars apiece”. With that it states, “The number of exoplanets out there is mind-boggling, each a potential cradle for life. Given the math, it seems impossible that we humans would be the only living things in the cosmos”. Like it said there are so so many exoplanets out there that could each potentially hold life, Intelligent or not. There are so many possibilities for us to find life.

Technology

With technology quickly advancing It is becoming more and more common to talk about going to one of these planets. We may also develop new technologies that could take us millions of light years away.

And with that we could explore exoplanets like never before. We could also develop telescopes that would let us see onto exoplanets. The possibilities are endless. So, In conclusion We may never know or find out if we are alone in this universe. Is our tiny earth the only speck in the universe that Houses intelligent life? Are there other forms of life wondering the same thing as us right now? There are so many theories, so who knows.

What do We know?

Well, we already know that we have or do not have the technology to explore extraterrestrial life. We also know that according to Nasa.gov there are over 300 million potentially habitable planets in the milky way galaxy alone. In conclusion, there are many possibilities for life. Will we find life? Maybe, just maybe.

Stranger Thing Season 5

Stranger Thing Season 5

A new season and new threats await for eleven and her friends as their world has now made a gateway from the to the upside-down and will now allow everything from that world into their world. The creator of Stranger Things predicted the story would last four or five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four, but as will soon see for ourselves, the creators of Stranger Things have finally decided to make one last season for us.

Season 5 will be the very last season they will ever make and it is still unknown when it’ll be released but we all know it will be somewhere in 2024.

Stranger Things 5 will likely follow the Hawkins gang’s final adventure as they team up to crack their biggest mystery yet: how to defeat Vecna also known as One, once and for all.

The Duffer Brothers previously said that there will be a time jump, and confirmed that the last season will primarily be set in Hawkins and the Upside Down.

The brothers have also revealed in multiple interviews that the main focus of season 5 will be to break down the mythology of the Upside Down, and finally provide answers to questions we’ve had since season 1.There isn’t a total count of episodes yet, but while appearing on the Happy, Sad, and Confused podcast, Matt Duffer revealed that season 5 will be regular-sized, not super-sized like season 4.

The only reason we don’t expect it will be as long is, this season. It’s almost a two-hour ramp up before the kids really get drawn into a supernatural mystery. They’re struggling with adapting to high

school and so forth. None of that is going to be in Season 5 of course. The reason they haven’t done anything is just because they don’t want to be doing it for the wrong reasons. But it’s going to be different than what anyone is expecting.
