We are coming up on the 2nd year anniversary of the death of Juice WRLD. Juice WRLD was born December 2, 1998 in Chicago, Illinois. He’s full name is Jarad Anthony Higgins. He has and 1 triple platinum song “All Girls are the Same” and 1 #2 song “Lucid Dreams.” He died December 8, 2019 due to a drug overdose.

Everyone calls him a Star. Besides his mom ( Carmella Wallace, who is a single mother).  In a 2020 article from ABC7Chicago she was stated saying “Juice WRLD was an Icon but Jared was my son. I didn’t treat him like a celebrity. In fact, the first time I saw him perform, it was in Chicago. I forget where, but I saw the crowd and I saw the girls and ‘take a selfie with me.’ He was pumped up. He was still lying with me at the time and when he came home, I said, ‘take out the garbage,’ because I just wanted him to stay humble.” 

Juice WRLD grew up in the South Suburbs in Chicago, Illinois. He later moved to Homewood. He attended Homewood-Flossmoor High School. He graduated in 2017. He grew up with his mother and an older brother. His father left the family when Jarad was three. His mother was a very religious woman. She would not let him listen to pop or rock music. So he listened to music from Panic!at the disco to Billy Idol to Black Sabbath.

Juice WRLD’s heavy drug life started very young. He started drinking in sixth grade. In 2013 he used percocets and xanax. He smoked cigarettes but quit his last year of high school due to health problems.

Juice WRLD’s music career also started early. At the age of 4 Jarad learned to play the piano after his mother forced him to.

The LA Dodgers are Fighting with the Giants for first in the NL West

 

The LA Dodgers have been fighting with the San Francisco Giants for most of the season for first in their division, the NL West. It’s been a tight race, sometimes the Giants were ahead, and sometimes the Dodgers were ahead. Right now the Giants are one game ahead of the Dodgers, but that could easily change because all it takes is the Dodgers winning a game and the Giants losing a game and then they’re tied. The Dodgers are at 97-54, and the Giants are at 98-53, they’re only a game apart from each other.

 

The standings for the division the LA Dodgers and San Francisco Giants are a part of.

No one expected the Giants to be this good this year, most people thought that the Padres would be the second best team in the NL West and the Dodgers to be the first, so the Giants have surprised everyone. They don’t have any big-name players besides their catcher Buster Posey and their third baseman that they recently picked up, Kris Bryant who they acquired from the Chicago Cubs who cleared out most of their roster to get new players next year. They have had a lot of players step up this year and have done a lot for the Giants’ team.  Injuries have held the dodgers back some this season as well as former Cy Young award winner Trevor Bauer who was probably seen for the last time in the MLB in June or July because of Sexual Assault charges he’s facing. That doesn’t change the fact that San Francisco has surprised everyone this season. Current injuries include three outfielders, former MVP Cody Bellinger, Billy Mckinney, and AJ Pollock. There are also 10 injured pitchers, Danny Duffy, Garrett Cleavinger, Cole Hamels, Jimmy Nelson, Jimmy Sherfy, Scott Alexander, Caleb Ferguson, Tommy Kahnle, Edwin Rios, and one of their starting pitchers, Dustin May. The Dodgers also picked up two key pieces of their team late this season, Max Scherzer, arguably the best pitcher in the league right now with an ERA of 2.08 and .78 with the Dodgers.

 

Both teams have been really good in the past, last year the Dodgers went to the world series against the Tampa Bay Rays and won their first world series since 1988, 32 years and they made it to the world series in 2017 and 2018 as well. The San Francisco Giants won the World Series 3 times in 6 years, in 2014, 2012, and 2010, but after that their team kind of fell apart. Both the Dodgers and the Giants have clinched playoff spots with the two best records in the league. 

 

The problem some people have with two really good teams in the same division is that they could be the two best teams in the league just like this year, but one of them has to play in the wild card game where anything could happen. It’s only one game and if the better team loses they are out of the playoffs. The winner of the NL Wild Card game which will likely be either the Dodgers or the Giants will play the other team in one of the NLDS series. With around 10 games left in the season, the playoffs are closer than ever, which team will come out on top, the Dodgers or the Giants? Only time can tell for us, in around two weeks we will know who is going to be the Wild Card team and who will play the winner of that Wild Card game in a best of 5 series.

Harrowing 911 call released from Farmington hostage situation

On September 9, 2021, A 911 operator received a
disturbing call. The article says, “CLEARFIELD, Utah — Clearfield Police released body cameras and 911 calls to FOX 13 which show the hours leading up to Joseph Manhard allegedly holding a Davis County family hostage on Sept. 10. Manhard, 31, was killed by police while holding five people at gunpoint in their Farmington home. The recently-released media shows his own family was concerned for their safety the day before.”
Manhard’s brother was worried and concerned about what his brother would do so he called 911 and said, “I need the cops here ASAP. He has a firearm on him and he is armed. “ Manhard’s brother wanted the cops to come as fast as they could so that they could catch Manhard.

At 1:30 a.m Manhard’s brother called 911 and was concerned about what his brother did. He said that Manhard has kidnapped his ex-girlfriend and also stolen his ex – girlfriend’s car.

Manhard said, “He’s trying to get in.” Of his brother standing at his front door.

Responding Clearfield officers with assault rifles are seen clearing the house and the back shed on body cameras. “He probably drove by one of us,” an officer is heard saying.“

Twelve hours later Manhard was seen back at his brother’s house at 1:30 a.m on September 10, 2021.
“He’s walking around out front,” Manhard’s sister-in-law told dispatch.

The dispatch was on their way to catch Manhard; they wanted to catch him so that he wouldn’t cause danger to anyone else.

Ten minutes later another disturbing, scary call to 911 Utility Trailer Manufacturing. The caller said that they just had a lady show up at their front door. She was saying that her car was stolen and that she was shot. The caller saw that the lady had blood all over her body. The caller was concerned about the lady.

The police said that Manhard shot through the woman’s window when she refused to give Manhard her car. So he got really mad and shot through her window and stole her car and drove off.

The caller said that he was really worried about the lady and that he did not want to leave her side and that he didn’t know how badly she was injured. The caller said that the lady was hysterical. The caller also said that he just wanted to make sure that she didn’t bleed out all over him. The caller wanted help from someone he was concerned about and didn’t know what he’s going to do. He wanted to help the lady and keep an eye on her.

Manhard was on the loose committing more crimes. Manhard was accused of leading police on pursuit south on I-15 in his ex-girlfriend’s stolen car. A few minutes later, Tire spikes stopped his ex – girlfriend’s car. Manhard didn’t know what to do so he allegedly ran into a random Farmington neighborhood. He broke into a family’s house and held the family hostage. He held the family hostage for nine hours. Imagine if a random guy broke into your house and held you, hostage, for nine hours. That would be so scary! The police found Manhard and Manhard was shot and killed. The family was so grateful and happy that their lives were saved. The mom of the family who was held hostage posted on social media that she is thankful for law enforcement and credits them with saving their lives.

Global Warming

Is it really going away? Are we still safe? Can we change this disaster? Global warming, Everyone has felt scared about it at one point. It’s getting to the point now, the point where it can’t go back to the way it was. “This year has been the hottest year on earth” news and weather reporters say. So what can we do about it? The short answer is not much. Usually these types of things the governments have to do most of the work. Although this might be upsetting because most governments aren’t doing anything, there are things we can do?

 

Raising awareness to other people. A good amount of people don’t realise what is actually going on. If we spread awareness and educate people on global warming more people will want to help and we can start fixing what we have started. There is also a chance the government can hear what we need. People now can have their own opinions on social media and in the world now posting about these things does spread awareness but we still need to do something that people won’t see and scroll past it. So what is that thing? 

 

Using recyclable materials including, metal or glass things that you can reuse and not throw away and use less paper. Did you know that just in America 2 billion toothbrushes end up in the landfill every year . 146.1 million tons of just plastic and paper end up in the landfills every year! Imagine what the earth would look like if we stopped using those things. It would be spectacular. It’s estimated that if everyone did this we would have the best air quality that we have had in the past 400 years.

 

Cars as we know it are pretty much a problem on their own. Now I’m not saying don’t use your car because that is nearly impossible. It might sound strange but just keeping the car you have is actually very healthy for the planet. Car part manufacturers use chemicals that are very bad for air quality. So in some cases keeping the car you have now for a very long time is better than getting an electric car. Riding bikes and using your car less also is a huge milestone. We can also help by carpooling if you can. This little thing may not seem like alot but now imagine everyone did this. We could possibly heal the ozone layer.

 

  So why do you want to do these things? Think about all the memories of playing the grass watching rain fall on streets late at night. What about the air quality, the air quality being perfect and the temperatures being the best feeling degrees ever. Imagine having no fires and Antarctica isn’t melting from meat and oil companies. So now what if we can change all that because we can it is getting so close to the breaking point. Earth itself is burning. We got a chance and why not take it. Covid 19, Started on Purpose?

While there is no question that the recent covid 19/ Corona virus outbreak came from China, the question that does come is, was it started on purpose, or was it all coincidence? There is a lot of evidence proving this may be true. 

 

When you think about it, a man-eating a bat that constructed the virus, and then spreading it through all of China sounds unlikely, but some of those people just so happened to be traveling to different countries. When you hear that it sounds like either the worst coincidence or sounds like it may have happened on purpose. 

 

The Girl That Spoke Out:

Allegedly a Chinese doctor spoke out about the virus being made in a lab, and forcefully being spread through the country without people’s knowledge. She also stated that the Chinese government did not tell people as soon as the virus came out. This doctor was supposedly silenced, and never heard from again. It is unknown if she was “offed” or not.

 

Population Control?

Another common theory concludes that the covid 19 virus could have been some sort of population control in China. According to an article by “Fortune” Titled “Is China’s population growing or shrinking? It’s a touchy topic for Beijing” it states,”In 2019, China reported that its population surpassed 1.4 billion people for the first time, up 4.67 million from the previous year.” This basically states that China is overpopulating, and they have also concluded that each family is only allowed one child. Because of this overpopulation, they may be trying to find ways to control how many people are in the country. The solution could have been covid, which was shown to take the lives of older individuals, or individuals with health problems. But with this, people could have been traveling, making covid spread throughout the world. 

 

False Positives?

Another common theory comes from something called a False positive. A false positive covid test is a test that is negative, but it reads as positive. One reason doctors may give out false positives is, every positive that a doctor gives, gives them more money. That would be a good motivation to give more positives, so that is one theory that is really common to believe.

                If you’re like me sometimes life can get boring so we need things to do to satisfy our needs, you might be thinking is they’re fun to do in Utah? Well, that is why I have made the top 5 activities in Utah. If you’re just on a vacation to visit some family members or just passing through there are many things you can do here but you might be thinking what are some of the things to do that would not waste my time?

Lagoon

Well, that’s why we are here with our first suggestion and that is Lagoon, an amusement and water park full of famous and exciting rides. Like one of their most popular one’s cannibal, This ride has a sudden drop with many twists and turns you won’t regret trying this crazy ride
This is only the beginning of the fun in Utah there are still plenty of places to go depending on how long your visit is going to be.

Lake Powell

This one is one of the biggest lakes in the world and yes we are talking about lake Powell. This lake stretches as long as 185 miles long. Have you ever wanted to try water skiing or maybe go tubing? This could be your chance to do those things. You could either take a houseboat with some family and rent a ski boat or grab some jet skis and go zooming in the water for some fast fun.

Temple Square

We now go into the third spot for things to do in Utah a great place to go is temple square in salt lake city where the biggest temple of the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints is found. This place is an amazing place to go if you are looking for stuff to do. Around Christmas time, they light it all up and have these amazing window displays.

Bryce canyon

Our fourth favorite spot to go is Bryce canyon located in the southern area of Utah. If you are looking for a great sightseeing location this is a great place to go also if you love your road trips you will have a nice long trip to Bryce canyon. Bryce Canyon also never fails to offer a great hike. There are over 20 different hikes you can do, and they will never disappoint.

Fear Factor


If you are looking for something scary at the time of Halloween then this is for you. We are talking about the fear factor. The Fear Factor is located in Salt Lake city Utah. It is a very intense Haunted house, where people in costumes are hiding around every corner waiting to scare you! If you are looking for a good scream, this is defiantly the place to go.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Utah has these fun things for you to come do. You can go to Lagoon for some roller-coaster fun. Lake Powell for some relaxing and water skiing. Temple Square, if you want to see a beautiful display. Bryce Canyon, if you want to do some challenging hikes that will for sure amaze you with the beautiful scenery. And last but not least, Fear Factor is waiting for you to go have a good scare!

Is anime and star wars a good mix??

September 22, 2021, a new show is realized into the galactic fanbase and cinema of Star Wars, Information about this new show is everywhere, including the Wookiepedia and StarWars.com Many people have mixed feelings about the show and if this could be a terrible idea, meaning, they basically… they mixed Star Wars and anime Those who dislike anime most likely think that this new show won’t work and no one will watch it but on the other hand, those who like anime probably think this could work and will open up gates for new shows following Visions, AnimePersonally… I thought the first episode was very confusing UNTIL I read the 5 highlights of episode one-Visions, go read it, it’s on StarWars.com.

 

SPOILER ALERT

Episode one- The Duel

The first episode of Star Wars visions features a new hero in the show, Ronin. Ronin is a Jedi-like character who has a red lightsaber, this shocking discovery when Ronin starts to fight the “The Duel” Probably made a lot of viewers go, hol’ up… What?? It made me just.. Sit there for a second and think, why would a sith fight another sith without reason?? We all know about lord Sidious killing off his old apprentices when he finds a new stronger one but I don’t think we realize how many sith there are in the StarWars galaxy so the whole “only two sith there are, a master and an apprentice.” -Yoda, is sort of… a rule not followed, but sort of. 

The Duel is a new sith character with… probably one of the craziest lightsabers I have ever seen since Kylo Ren’s “Crackly cross blades” as quoted from the LEGO holiday special, the lightsaber would be like the design of a wagasa but instead of wood its metal, and instead of beautiful little cherry blossom flowers, it has about 8 spinning sabers that could and will cut you in half in less than a second. The Duel was very ready to cut down Ronin but he stops the blade by using force, the Duel thinks he’s a Jedi but surprises her with the red blade of his samurai sword-type lightsaber. He also claims he is not a Jedi but a sith even though all sith wouldn’t have helped the village, but rather… burned it down along with all its inhabitants.

Episode two- Tatooine Rhapsody

Sadly, I have not had the time to finish the episode myself, but StarWars.com has been ever so helpful.

Tatooine Rhapsody features a young Jedi who is running across a battlefield, suddenly he reaches a ledge and falls, landing through the ceiling of a building of sorts where he finds his new job as a singer for a band called the Rolling Gales. He goes with this band who travels to a bunch of different places around the planet and end up having to move systems once they have a run-in with Boba Fett, a notorious bounty hunter known throughout basically all of the galaxy. One thing- in my opinion, the art style in this specific episode sort of makes Boba and his crew look like 6-year-olds,

The way they did him makes him look a lot shorter, his helmet is shorter and it doesn’t make him look as scary as he should like back in the original movies… at least he’s not headless. 

Boba Fett’s crew also makes them look like a little band of x6-year-olds saying to “get off their spaceship” at the park.

The episode is great, I think the whole series has potential. Tatooine Rhapsody might not be my favorite but it seems like the episodes get better and more suspenseful as you go through the series and I have some hope for it. May the force be with you.

Lilo and Stitch movies

Lilo and stitch is the first Disney movie based in Hawaii. And it’s a true fan favorite There are 3 movies, have you seen them? But why 3 and are they good? That’s what I am going to tell you. what each movie is about, its purpose, and if you should watch it. We will start with the classic first movie and then stitch the movie and lastly, Stitch has a glitch. There is one more movie but I have not seen it yet. It’s called Leroy and Stitch and I have heard good things about it. All these movies have a special place in my heart. Now let’s start talking about lilo and stitches movies!

 

Lilo and Stitch

Lilo and stitch is a movie about a Hawaiian girl and an Alien. Lilo adopted stitch at the pet store. Stitch, the Alien disguised as a dog, is running away from the other aliens trying to capture him and bring him to the main Alien. Lilo and her sister live by themselves in their family home where their parents died in a tragic car accident as a result of both of their deaths. They both have some behavior problems but stitch has them worse so lilo tries and is successful in making him good. Mr. Bubbles is trying to take Lilo away from her sister because she can’t hold a job and does not have the resources to take good care of her sister. then one of the aliens catches lilo and stitch but stitch escapes and then he and lilo’s sister and the two aliens go rescue lilo from the one bad Alien. You have to watch this amazing movie.

Stitch! The movie.

Is about stitch and his new family lilo and her sister and 2 aliens are living happily and then stitch finds all of his brothers and sisters, which one of the aliens created them. stitch is known as 626 and they all have numbers representing them. then they are being hunted down by galactic forces. The ex-worker of the head Aliens is now working for the galactic forces and has been sent to earth to retrieve all stitches brothers and sisters so stitch and lilo have to help them not get captured. I give this movie an 8/10
Lilo and stitch 2: stitch has a glitch. Stitch woke up from a bad dream about him turning bad again, lilo coaches stitch again and tells him he is good and that won’t happen. then lilo and stitch have to prepare for their hula dance. Lilo’s mom was a hula dancer and she is trying to be good like her but the other girls say that she will never be like her mom and put her down. Stitch starts to glitch and keeps being bad and he can’t help it. Then stitch has to recharge to be good again so he does. and lilo and stitch both do the hula dance amazingly and all the other girls are very surprised. I liked this one. It had a lot of meaning and I just loved it.

In conclusion, these 3 movies are great and all have great meanings. I liked these movies and some people say they want more movies but I think that 4 is a good ending. If you have nothing to binge-watch, these amazing movies are just the right thing for you if you are a true Disney lover. They are all good family movies to have a movie night. Lilo and stitch are the best ones. It’s the original movie and nothing can beat it. The end!

The Film Industry Changed by Covid is Now Back on Track

Many movies that were affected by covid-19 are now back on track and getting released into theaters again. The entertainment industry is getting back on track! During COVID-19, most if not all movies were put on hold or when permitted, were extremely cautious while filming. Movies that were released during COVID-19 were all released online and not in theaters. Because of this, movie theater chains that used to be booming with business were empty and bare.

While others suffered greatly, online streaming services flourished with all the people quarantined and stuck at home. Though this trend of streaming service viewers was previously going up anyway, covid-19 sped up the process. Revenue climbed to $61.8 billion with an increase of 31%. While that was flourishing, physical entertainment like DVDs, blue-ray, and rentals dramatically declined. In 2020 digital entertainment only totaled only $7 billion, less than half of the $14.9 billion in 2016.

Streaming services gained many watchers and in 2020 totaled 308.6 million subscribers, a year-over-year increase of 32%. Because of the online subscribers, revenue grew 35% totaling $24.7 billion. TV programs that broadcasted dropped because of production delays. It dropped from the record high of 532 programs to 493. Production dates of release were moved to 2021-2022 and the slow down of shows being released had caused Netflix to drop in production of original content by 12%. While those declined programs like unscripted shows, children’s shows, and day-time dramas, have not experienced that large of a decline. The number of releases has stayed steady over the last five or so years.

Screen time, in general, went up from 13% in 2019 to 17% in 2020. 14% was accounted for by time spent on mobile video. Movies, like TV, declined dramatically with release dates going into 2021 and beyond. There were only 338 theatrically released movies, a 66% decline from 987 in 2019. Also in 2020 the estimated number of movies to start prediction declined 45%.
Because physical movie viewing was canceled, movie theaters and studios scrambled to find a way to increase revenue by getting video entertainment into homes instead of theaters. They released the movies online with or instead of theater releases. The box office dropped in ticket sales dramatically. From January to March, the box office was $1.8 billion. This accounted for 80% of the year due to the very notable drop that happened in March.

Godzilla vs. Kong was the beginning of getting back on track. It grossed over $69.5 million in the first two weeks and then $350 million globally. Finally, movies and TV shows began to get back on track but with extra caution. While COVID is still fluctuating, we start to get a steady stream of movies once again. Cast, directors, and others that work in the film have had to use caution in their workplace, including wearing masks, frequent COVID-19 testing, and keeping everything as clean as possible.

COVID-19 has changed so much in the film industry. Not only has it changed the industry, but it has also changed the people that work in it and the people that don’t. It’s easy to say that the experiences and challenges that it has gone, through will change it forever. This also showed that even though there are many challenges, people were able to persevere. It was a slow process but now we are getting back on track, and people can enjoy the movie theater experience again. It’s been wild but now it is finally coming to an end and a new beginning.

Emma Stone, actress of original Cruella plans to be in sequel

Emma Stone has officially closed a deal to be in the sequel to Cruella. Due to the pandemic, Cruella was released in theaters on May 26. Cruella 2 is a way off though. Cruella got 74% on rotten tomatoes and earned an ‘A’ from the audience. Also, people are comparing Cruella to the Joker and it’s pretty accurate.

When Disney first released the trailer, everyone immediately started comparing it to the Joker. Some of the comparisons included her laugh, her makeup, and some of the expressions she made about society. Many people have been calling her “Disney’s Joker,” but Cruella is not as violent and dark as the Joker.
There have been lots of reviews saying it is a surprisingly entertaining origin story for such an iconic Disney villain. Cruella is the story of how the villain from “101 Dalmatians” became how she is. Cruella had a great cast including award winner, Emma Stone. The amazing cast just brought the whole film together. Emma Stone was able to pull off this role brilliantly and was a fine pick.
But Emma Stone isn’t the only one who did fantastically, Emma Thompson played “an egotistical and downright nasty fashion designer named The Baroness, and she takes the role head-on.” Along with the two Emma’s, you have “fine performances from the secondary roles like Joel Fry as Jasper and Mark Strong as John the Valet, but it’s Paul Walter Hauser as Horace who steals the show.” Many other villain stories from Disney have been harder to love and turn into heroes, but Cruella has a different feel to it. The story has a great hook, and many twists and turns with reveals and surprises.

“The filmmakers of “Cruella” have not turned her into a lovable hero, but rather a misunderstood genius with a mean streak and namesake she has deserved.” One of the best parts of Cruella is how it takes you to their world. You get lost in the world that is being formed before you.
Cruella takes place in 1970’s London but there is some dramatic flair and spunk added to it that is completely fascinating. The sets have been designed to match characters and you can tell that there was a lot of detail and work put into the set of Cruella that truly brings it together. Is Cruella a movie worth watching? “Considering the set pieces, detailed costumes, and moments of action, this is a movie that would be appreciated on the big screen.” This film makes you sympathize with a dog-killing villain.

Even though so many people love Cruella, there are still a lot of people who love 101 Dalmatians more. It is original and classic. In Cruella, it is different because you’ve taken this character and made this entirely new and different story to go with it. It is really interesting because there are many parts where you can make the connection to 101 Dalmatians.
Some of the connections that are in the film are when at her school she meets Anita Darling and becomes her friend. They also meet again when they are older and at the end of the movie, Cruella gives her a Dalmatian named Perdita. Roger Dearling is also in the movie, but Roger and Anita do not meet yet.
“Then, of course, there’s Jasper and Horace, Cruella de Vil’s faithful lackeys.” Although in the movie they aren’t super on-board all the time. At one point they regret taking her in because of the way that she treats them when she is Cruella and not Estella.
This movie is very entertaining and has many good elements that make it that way and affect how the viewers see the film and the characters.
