The Best and Worst Teams in the NBA

The Best and Worst Teams in the NBA

Data as of  Feb 10th. None of this data is accurate right now.

With just 7 weeks left in the NBA season, there are many NBA teams that have unmissable content such as the Nuggets, Celtics, and Bucks. But, there are  some teams that have less viewers, such as the Rockets, Pistons, and Magic.

After a slow start, the Heat have figured it out. The Heat are sitting at 6th in the Eastern Conference. Via All-star Bam Adebayo, young star Tyler Herro, and veteran Jimmy “Buckets” Butler, they have a 32-26 record.

The Lakers are 13th in the western conference but have 1 All-Star player, LeBron James, who recently beat Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s “Unbreakable Record”, and an All-Star caliber Anthony Davis. The city of L.A. will not be looking forward to the All-Star game with a combined 2 All-Stars with the Clipper’s Paul George.

The Washington Wizards are riding a 6 game win streak. Led by Bradley Beal, Kyle Kuzma, and Kristaps Porzingis, they are 9th in the Eastern Conference at 24-26.

The Pelicans however, have the opposite of success. They have lost 9 straight, at 10th in the Western Conference. With All-Star starter Zion WIlliamson gone with a hamstring injury, the Pelicans have dropped from 4th to 10th in a matter of weeks. Williamson is back, so the Pelicans are trying to get out of the hole they’re in.

The Timberwolves are slept on because they have only 1 All-Star player out of their big three. Yes, they have Anthony Edwards, Karl Anthony-Towns, and Rudy Gobert, but the center position is taken up by Nikola Jokic and Domantas Sabonis. With the explosive power of Edwards, they are 8th in the Western Conference.

The Phoenix Suns recently traded for Superstar Kevin Durant, so although 5th in the Western Conference, they should be getting some success soon enough. He is joined with Devion Booker, Chris Paul, and DeAndre Ayton.

Although the Nets traded away their All-Stars, they do have the next Kyrie Irving. Cam Thomas is the youngest player to ever have 3 consecutive 40-point games. He is averaging 10.6 points, coming off an astounding 3 games.

The Thunder have MVP caliber player, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but he is helpless with this team. Rookie Chet Holmgren is injured, Josh Giddey is not playing to his full level, and nor is Luguentz Dort. Dort is averaging
14 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists, which is all a step down from the 2021-22 season. Josh Giddey is averaging better stats from last season but is too inconsistent to be considered a star.

The New York Knicks recently traded for Josh Hart, and are trying their best to become a playoff team. They are 7th in the Eastern Conference with MVP contender Julius Randle, former MVP Derrick Rose, and young star RJ Barrett.

In the past 20 games, the Indiana Pacers have won a mere 4 games. Led by first time All-Star Tyrese Haliburton, center Myles Turner, and veteran Buddy Heild, they are not doing well. They are 12th in the Eastern Conference at 25-34, 0.5 ahead of Rookie of the Year candidate Paolo Banchero and the Magic.

The Orlando Magic are too young. Their average age is 23, and they have 3 rookies. 12 out of 16 players have experience of 3 or less years. They are led by Rookie of the Year candidate Paulo Banchero, and center Wendell Carter Jr.

The Milwaukee Bucks are 16-4 in the last 20 games. They are 2nd in the Eastern Conference, trailing only the Celtics. Their current record is 40-17. Led by East All-Star captain Giannis Antetekounmpo, they are having one of their best seasons in recent history.

The 76ers formed a Superteam with rising star Tyrese Maxey, Veteran James Harden, and star center Joel Embiid. They are a slight disappointment this season at 3rd in the Eastern Conference at 38-19 a hair ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
