Shootings In Media

There was a movie that came out in 2021 called The Fallout that stars Jenna Ortega. With her recent break on the Netflix show Wednesday, more of Ortega’s shows and movies are moving into the current spotlight. The movie is about a girl, Vada played by Ortega, that goes through a school shooting. The director, Megan Park, interviewed with TeenVouge stating how much she enjoyed the process of filming and the actors that she chose to cast. She also shares some insight on the amount of work she put into it. Park also reveals how real she wanted to make the movie without triggering anyone that has fallen victim to school shootings. Park says she did her best to take actual victims’ experiences and apply them to the film.

This movie is very essential in the kind of world we are living in right now. The movie shows the process of Vada getting through the traumatic event. With the three shootings in California over the weekend, this movie is showing the kind of world we are in today.

In the movie, the shooting happens in one of the first scenes. Vada goes to the bathroom and another girl, Mia played by Maddie Ziegler, is in there doing her makeup. They two later hear gunshots from outside the restroom and they quickly run into a stall. The two panic when the bathroom door opens but it turns out just to be a boy seeking safety from the shooter. The three wait out the shooting together.

We find that shootings have become more prevalent in recent years. Ever since 2020, shootings have gone up at an exponential rate. It is really scary because it is very real and we are talking about life or death instead of learning and growing. As mentioned earlier, there were three shootings in California in one weekend. A single weekend.

Vada has a best friend, Nick, that survives and he does his absolute best to speak out and make sure shootings like that don’t happen again. Vada feels numb and just tries to make it through the day. Vada has a little sister who is around ten years old and says something along the lines of, “Sometimes I just think; what year are we living in, you know? I can literally buy a bulletproof backpack off of Amazon.” The little sister says this right after the shooting which is kind of poor taste but she’s a child and doesn’t know the bigger picture and the effect her words might have on her older sister. She does raise a good point, though. What year are we living in? Why do shootings happen so often and why aren’t they going down?

Vada struggles through the movie on getting through the traumatic event. She starts therapy and in her final session in the movie, she is finally able to admit how she feels about the shooting. Vada tells her therapist that she feels mad. Vada states “I feel mad, because I had no idea one guy with a gun could f–k up my life so hard in six minutes. F–k up so many lives!” This is the voice of victims of shootings in America. Anger is what they should feel. No child deserves to go to school to learn and be met with gunshots, dead classmates, and dead teachers.

School Shootings

Last year, the Uvalde school shooting shocked not only the state of Texas but most of the world as well. A psychotic 18-year-old decided to shoot up an elementary school and killed twenty-one people. Similar to the quote from The Fallout he messed so many lives up that day, in a short amount of time. That is not only unethical, but it is also unfair. Unfair that that eighteen-year-old can walk away, to jail of course, but he has robbed nineteen children of life and opportunity. He struck their families and that is so unfair. He also took two teachers. Two teachers had spouses and children. Those teachers were supposed to prepare the next generation and make our future bright and strong, but instead, they were met with this tragedy.

It is unfair that someone like the shooter, who is typically dealing with some mental problem, can walk into a public learning space and take the lives of others instead of fixing their own. It is not fair to the lives taken, the hurt communities, and especially the hurt family and friends. It isn’t fair to educators to worry about their student’s safety when threatened. No teacher should ever have to protect their students from active shooters.

Unsurprisingly though, this problem is only present in America. America is the only country that is proud of the right to carry. Well, look where that has gotten us. There have been about seventy mass shootings this year alone. It is almost February, and this shooting situation is outrageous. The number of innocent lives lost to a shooting takes ten minutes, give or take.

The only other two countries that have their right to carry are Mexico and Guatemala but their shooting doesn’t even come close to that of America. No country even comes close to the amount of gun-related deaths that America has. Canada has second place in that area but Canada doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface. America’s gun problem is out of control and it doesn’t seem to be changing. There have been little to no laws put in place to prevent school shootings.

A handful of European countries rewrite their constitution every decade so they can keep up with the current times. America hasn’t been rewritten ever. In current times, it really should be.

LGBTQ+ Struggles

LGBTQ+ Struggles

Introducing LGBTQ+ Struggles

Finding out who you are is an extraordinary journey, and the journey is never easy. It can be a very emotional ride. Some are harder than others, but LGBTQ+ youth might have it very hard. Finding what fits you and experimenting with pronouns and names can be hard, but finding people that support you can be even harder.

When growing up in the LGBTQ+ community, you have higher rates of suicide, the experience of homelessness, and the use of illegal drugs. This is all due to the stigma in society towards queer people.

Brooklyn Owen

In 2018 Brooklyn Owen, formerly known as Seth Owen, was a valedictorian. She was a top student, captain of the swim team, and had a 4.61 GPA. Brooklyn was on her way to her dream college when she found out that the college required a contribution from her parents. The problem was that her parents had kicked her out because they found out that she was gay. Brooklyn’s parents were very conservative and were a part of a baptist church. Brooklyn’s dad found out she was gay and outed her to her mom. They told Brooklyn that it wasn’t acceptable that she was gay.

Her teachers realized that her situation was getting worse, so they decided to make a GoFundMe page for Brooklyn. The goal was $20,000, but they exceeded the goal and raised $50,000! Brooklyn said she is very grateful to her peers and teachers for the support. She says it felt like unconditional love according to her interview on insider.com.

Jordan Steffy

In November 2019, Jordan Steffy finally decided to stand up to his bully. Jordan came out in middle school and started getting bullied because he is gay. His bully stayed with him up until high school. One day he had enough and decided to stand up to his bully. The bully called him a homophobic slur as he confronted him. Jordan responded by punching and hitting his bully.

Jordan stated that he just got sick of it. A classmate recorded it and posted it on Twitter where it got over 3 million views. Jordan says he would take it back if he could, but he is glad he stood up for himself. I don’t think Jordan was ever bullied again after that.

Addressing the Problem

Many queer teens have similar stories to these two students. Being themselves and loving who they love gets them bullied or abused by a parent or close relative. It can get you kicked out of certain programs. It’s sad how often someone a part of the LGBTQ+ community can tell stories about how they got harassed in middle school or got called slurs by their parents, or weren’t allowed to play for a team just because of who they were.

Some kids feel school is not a safe place for them to go. This is because of the bullying or harassment they have to withstand. There are designated safe spaces for members of the LGBTQ+ community because of the ongoing stigma towards them. There are even gay bars. But even then, some straight people invade the bars. There is little way around getting harassed when you’re a queer person.

It is heartbreaking to see people that are just being themselves get bullied or harassed or, in some cases, murdered. It happens if you come out to someone, it happens if you don’t dress to a certain standard, it happens if you’re with your friends or significant other. It’s really sad, but it gets frustrating and annoying after a while. What makes it super frustrating is when straight people will say that none of those things happen, and we just want the attention. Or when straight women go to lesbian bars because it simply isn’t for them, there are safe spaces for us for a reason. Straight people can go out in public with their friends without getting barked at or getting slurs yelled at them whereas, a queer person or friend group will go out to a carnival and have people call them slurs, bark at them, almost or do get into a fistfight.

Some scary things can happen for simply loving who you love or being who you are. All you can do is be careful and do your best to stay safe.

Attack on the Asian Community

Attack on the Asian Community

Origins

Ever since the pandemic started, hate crimes and violence towards Asians in America rose at an alarming rate. Newly recorded data by the FBI found that anti-Asian hate crimes went up by more than 73% in 2020. There were 161 reported anti-Asian hate crimes in 2019. In 2020 there were almost double, there were 279 reported anti-Asian hate crimes.

As we all probably know, the coronavirus started in a city in China and it then spread throughout China and now all around the world. Thus making it a pandemic. It has made life hard for many people. So many people lost their jobs, family, way of life and many other things that can be very personal to some people. But the Asian community has had it so bad ever since this pandemic started. Elderly Asian people were getting harassed and even murdered just in the streets. It got so bad that Asian people would start disguising themselves in anything to hide their identity.

There were many cases that anyone can look into from last year but one in particular spiked my interest, it was about a Filipino American man, Noel, whose face got slashed on his way to work. Noel was standing, waiting for his train and another man came up to him and started kicking his bag. Noel thought the other man was going to punch him until he saw the box cutter. He cuts Noel across the face. Noel said to reporters, “I shouted for help, but nobody helped me.” which shows just how normal it is to see harassment or assault and people are afraid to speak out or do anything about it. Noel then goes on to say that if it was just him that experienced this, it would be OK, but since there are Asian Americans that haven’t survived attacks like this, it is not okay. An 84-year-old Thai man was murdered just 2 days after he was shoved to the ground while on his morning walk. An old married couple, Mr. and Mrs.Lee, said they only go out once a month because they are scared of potentially losing their lives or getting hurt out in public. There are tons of other examples and it’s so heartbreaking.

#StopAsianHate

In the summer, the hashtag BlackLivesMatter was trending. It is still a very big and growing movement. But it was a little unsettling that no one was talking about the movement “StopAsianHate” Not many people know about it because it isn’t being talked about.

I have only seen very few media influencers speak about it. The only ones that I have seen speak out about it are the ones that keep up with k-pop or watch anime or Asian’s themselves. It wasn’t until the k-drama “Squid Game” came out that people started treating Asians a bit too well. The Asian community is now getting fetishized because of their almond-shaped eyes and their clear skin. The character Kang Sae-Byeok, from ‘Squid Game” has been “analyzed” because she’s so hot and no one knows why. But it’s really because people can’t accept the fact that someone who isn’t white, can be hot just for the sake of being hot. The actress, HoYeon Jung, is a South Korean model and actress who started her career in 2010. Since she was exposed to the western audience with her starring in Squid Game, people have been analyzing her face to find out why she’s so pretty. But it’s just a cover for Americans’ internalized xenophobia and racism. People just don’t know how to accept that Asians and people of color can be pretty, if not prettier, than white people.

Speaking Out

Even fans of anime, K-pop, and K-dramas wouldn’t speak out about it or even know about all the Asian hate going around. True fans would speak out about it and hold people accountable but a lot of other fans would brush it off to the side as nothing happened. Even the fans that do talk about it, will make things more secret. There is this podcast called, “Daebak show w/ Eric Nam” if you don’t know, Eric Nam is an American K-pop idol, singer-songwriter, and he has a podcast where he will talk about K-pop, and a lot of the time he invites other idols on the show to talk about their new songs or a recent comeback. Eric Nam did an episode where he spoke about #StopAsianHate. In the K-pop community, everyone keeps up with certain groups and shows and that will become a trend. When Eric Nam posted this episode, no one was talking about it. The only thing I saw about Eric Nam was his memes. It was almost like no one cared about this huge event that is going down.

Throughout 2020, Asian people were getting harassed way more than usual because they were getting blamed for bringing over the Coronavirus. In 2021, the Korean drama Squid Game dropped on Netflix and now Asians are getting fetishized. In the past year, the Asian community has been under attack and enough is enough. What’s going on isn’t right, Asians should not have to endure this because they are Asian.

Teens and phone addictions 101

Teens and phone addictions 101

Teenagers are far too addicted to their phones. Many scientific studies have proven that phones cause higher depression rates, more suicide rates, worse grades and that it ruins your brain permanently. But not all is bad when it comes to phones, there are good things too.

How old?

According to inc.com, “According to the latest research, on average, a child gets his or her first smartphone at 10.3 years old. That same study shows that by age 12, a full 50 percent of children have social media accounts (primarily Facebook and Instagram).” This shows that children are being introduced to social media and technology at too young of an age. Social media can cause depression, suicide, a lack of emotional connection, and a license to be hurtful to others. It is different for every kid, if your kid is irresponsible and not trustworthy, then hold back a few years. Why? Because adult content is an issue that is available to anyone who looks for it.

Your kid could also lose his or her iPhone, and who has to pay the bills? It’s not them, that’s for sure. Children develop a need for the phone at all times and addiction. When someone is addicted to something they always need it, if your kid always needs his or her phone it could cause problems in school or with friends. The attention of your child will decrease exponentially because they are on their phone. This could lead to bad grades or the phone being taken away during class. According to https://www.todaysparent.com “These days, the average age when kids get their first smartphones is around 10 years old, according to Calgary-based parenting expert Judy Arnall, author of Parenting with Patience. But exposure to mobile devices often begins at a much younger age: It’s becoming increasingly common to see toddlers wielding smartphones in strollers and preschoolers zoned out in front of iPads at restaurants.’’ So, in conclusion, it depends on your child.

Benefits of giving your child a phone

There are many reasons to not get your child a phone, yet there are lots of reasons why you should.

With a phone, you are in constant contact with your child, if you need to get ahold of them while they’re out with friends or if they need to contact you. Along with being able to contact them, you can track them. And make sure they’re safe and where they told you they would be. This will allow you to keep your child safe, and you are reassured. Some other benefits are that your child could be socially included. When a child has a phone they can contact not just you but all their friends as well. But now that they have a phone they will contact their friends and hang out more with their peers. According to https://www.deseret.com/ “How many times have you rushed from work to pick up your kid from soccer practice, only to get there to wait 30 minutes because practice started late? A phone allows your child to send a quick text so you don’t waste your time. Or flip it and think of when you are running late picking up your child from dance because of traffic. Instead of your daughter being worried you have forgotten her, you shoot her a quick message.’’ Your child having a phone would not only help them but also help you.

Yes, your kid needs a cellphone. I’m not going to tell you a specific age, but it should be before high school but after 7th grade. Social media should not be allowed until their sophomore year. This way they are connected with their friends, and so when they have an extracurricular activity, you know when, where, and who. When you are older you make better decisions and so will your child with their phone.

The crime of human child trafficking: and why it’s it a problem

Human-child trafficking is a modern problem and is bigger than ever. People are sold, used for sex, and used for forced labor. There are over 200,000 American children at risk of being trafficked, and over 17,000 foreign children are transported to America a year alone.

The crime of Human child trafficking is worth $150,000,000 a year, something that has been going on for more than 12-14 years in the USA alone. But it has been going on for a lifetime in other countries.

Thousands of men and women are trafficked throughout the world and the USA. We live in a world and in a country that thinks this is okay. 200,000 children are trafficked in the USA a day, and we let this happen.

I know this might seem boring to read, but this is so important to know about. Because if we didn’t know then what kind of people we would be. We live in a world that is blinded by the truth that tells us lies, and false facts. But we need to get up from our seats and learn and teach this to others.

Here are some numbers of the four biggest states in trafficking

What state is number one, California with more than 400,000 kids used for forced labor and sex?

What second? Texas with more than 313,000 cases a year

3rd is Florida with more than 4,000 cases a year

The state is 4th, Utah, with more than 3,000 cases twice a year

An anonymous person came out and made this statement: “Not a lot of people would care about this, Thinking what’s the problem? well, here’s the problem over 800,000 children go missing every year in the US alone we gotta stop this dismantle system because this is getting out of hand, it’s not the left versus the right, it’s what is wrong and what is right we got to stand up and fight for our children, they would paying us to be blind, to feel into all there lies, it’s time to wake up. and fight the right fight”.

over 90 kids get trafficked in your city a day. Most of them are kids your age, or mothers taken from their families, brothers, and sisters, but what’s sad is no one talks about it. We need more people to get out and fight.

You go ahead and look away, but know you can never say you didn’t know.

Cancel Culture: what is it, and why those who believe in it need to grow up

Cancel Culture: what is it, and why those who believe in it need to grow up

On October 5th, 2021 comedian Dave Chappelle and Netflix released a 1 hour episode of him doing his final special for Netflix, it was called The Closer. It was a send-off for David, one of the great comedians of not only this generation but of all time. In this special, David made some rather offensive jokes, to put it lightly. Dave has been known for that all throughout his career. He essentially roasted about every group and culture there is out there, and many, and I mean many, took it personally. Many took to social media, others made the news, lots were very offended. These people came at David and tried to shut him down, trying to ruin his career and dethrone him from the top because of what he said.

This is commonly known as Cancel Culture. The Mirriam-Webster says, “the practice or tendency of engaging in mass canceling as a way of expressing disapproval and exerting social pressure”. I just call it a direct way to lose brain cells but think what you want of it. Cancel Culture sucks; it has ruined the careers of some of the biggest stars out there, but overall, some people need to just grow up to be frank.

Over the years

Cancel Culture has sparked up like a wildfire within the last 2 years. In this generation, we live in a very cancerous era. If you say one thing someone does not like, you will be attacked and criticized heavily. It doesn’t even have to be recent, it could have been something you said 10 years ago that comes back to bite you. People will expose the smallest details about you to try and ruin you, it’s sad really. The biggest example of this must be David Dobrik. David was living his best life and was the 5th most popular Youtube channel out there. Then came the allegations.

Some girl on Twitter decided to expose the fact he said some things he shouldn’t have said roughly 7 years prior, just out of nowhere. And just like that, it all began. It snowballed downhill out of control. David rose to the top, and I guess people didn’t like that. Many of David’s subscribers were displeased and unsubscribed. As he lost popularity, the big blow landed. A member of a social media group David was in made a rape allegation towards David. That’s when the problem got heated, David lost roughly 200,000 subscribers and stopped posting for a while. It seems like people tend to expose what they know just to make it look like they are the good guy almost, the chances he gets accused of rape are slim to none if the tweet never came out and David picked up the heat for it.

David is not the only one who has been canceled before, far from it. The list is a mile long and includes people such as Austin McBroomDonald TrumpDrake, DaBaby, and now Dave Chappelle. That’s not even close to it however, I could go on for days and days on which people have been canceled. Cancel Culture ruins people’s careers and it needs to stop.

People need to grow up

(Rant Alert)

As a person who is fair-minded and wants to see the other side of the argument to understand where they are coming from, I try to use that in this case, and I just don’t see the other side of it. If you don’t agree with something, there is absolutely no way you should try and shut down the other side and ruin them. You need to grow up, and learn how to take a hit. In life it can’t be just happiness 24/7, you must learn how to get knocked down and get up again. If someone says something you don’t like, you have more than one option. You can ignore it, you can choose to confront it and tell the other side you disagree respectfully, there are many options when it comes to this. Trying to share what someone said with others and trying to make them look as stupid as possible is the worst thing you can do. Let others say what they want, and quite frankly, deal with it. It ruins lives, it ruins careers, and it needs to stop.

The reason America was founded in 1776 was to be free; everyone has the right to speech, everyone is treated equally, stuff like that. And now, it seems you can’t have an opinion, you either agree with what society says, or you are wrong, and that is far from the truth. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and they are allowed to fight for what they say and believe.

Once more, I have no problem with disagreements. I think that is a very good thing. But when I see people who disagree and then try to shut down and ruin the other side, that is what makes things wrong.

Lastly, people change over time. They learn from past experiences, they mature out and become better. A person like David happened to make a stupid mistake in his younger years, and someone decided to tear him down and expose him. It ruined his career, and he will most likely never be the same again. The lives of these big stars are getting ruined, and it is very sad to see. What if it happened to you? Always be empathetic, and don’t let one small mistake or problem dictate a whole career or life.

Lots of Animals are Going Extinct!

Lots of Animals are Going Extinct!

Animalsaroundtheglobe says “There are now 41,415 species on the IUCN Red List, and 16,306 of them are endangered species threatened with extinction.” We all need to do our help to lower the endangered list.

5 endangered animals

#1: Javan Rhinoceros

There are less than 75 Javan Rhinoceros left around the world. These Rhinoceros live in Ujung Kulon National Park. They are dying off because of habitat loss, diseases being spread, and poaching. If u don’t know what poaching is, it is when people kill an animal illegally. Usually, the animals have something valuable like animal fur or teeth. Lots of animals are going extinct because of poaching.

 #2: Tigers

Tigers are endangered because of poaching, habitat loss, trading of tiger parts, global warming, and human conflict. If you see poaching please contact someone who can help. Such as the police or a park ranger. There are only 3890 tigers left in the wild. In some countries there are less than 200 hundred tigers but, over the last few years, the tiger population has risen. To find out more about the tiger population and what you can do go to Bring Back Tigers

 #3: Asian Elephants

Asian elephants are beautiful creatures. There are fewer than 50,000 due to being threatened by loss of habitat, habitat degradation, fragmentation, and poaching. They have been on the endangered list since 1986, around 35 years. Their numbers have dropped 50% over the last 75 years. They are located in and around India. They play an important role in their environment. They limited the growth of vegetation and spread the seeds of the plants they eat. Theweek.com says that the Asian Elephants will go extinct in around 12 years. So around 2033.

 #4: Bornean Orangutans

Bornean orangutans and Sumatran orangutans have lost their homes from the destruction of the rain forest. They usually live up in the trees so it might be hard to change to their new environment. They have been on the endangered list since 2008. That’s around 12 or 13 years. Over 13,000 Sumatran Orangutans left and 104,000 Bornean Orangutans left. They both live around the rain forests of Southeast Asian islands (Borneo and Sumatra). They play an important role in seed dispersal and keeping the forest at its best. If they were to disappear then a lot of plants and trees would disappear with it and some other animals that live in those trees and feed off those plants might even become endangered.

 #5: Mountain Gorillas

Mountain gorillas population is only 604 and all of them live in parks located in east-central Africa. They are going extinct mostly because of habitat loss, hunting, and diseases. Gorillafund.org says that gorillas play an important part in “dispersing seeds, letting in light, and shaping plant communities within the forest.” They also mention, “Protecting gorillas helps protect these other vital plants, animals, and insects as well.” so without gorillas, their habitat wouldn’t be the same.

With your help, we can help take all of these animals off the endangered list and help them stay off.

Christmas Greatness

Christmas Greatness

In all honesty, everyone loves Christmas, except maybe the Grinch, but that’s not the point. People have their favorite part of Christmas. From the tree to the presents to the beautiful lights. Christmas truly is the greatest time of the year, but the question is what makes Christmas so great? To answer that question a list has been made of things that make Christmas so great.

Family and Friends

Family and friends are key parts of a jolly Christmas. Friends and loved ones  make the holiday much better when you’re together. The family loves and supports you and cares for you. Friends help you when you’re down and they make you very happy. In December, as the Christmas spirit comes, your family and friends can increase your Christmas cheer tenfold! Family and friends are the keys to making Christmas so great.

Presents

Presents are awesome to give or to receive. That might sound selfish but everyone looks forward to presents. A website called Mic.com said, “How can anyone not look forward to unwrapping a gift and being surprised?”. The giving can give that same fun feeling as a loved one opens a gift you gave to them. People do say this is the time of the year for forgiving. Presents do make the holiday a little greater.

Christmas decorations

There are many Christmas decorations like the tree, the lights, and other fun things in your home. The best part is probably the tree, it is so festive and each tree is different because of the shape and ornaments on the tree.then there  are the lights they are so beautiful to look at and to drive by and see houses with bright lights. The little knickknacks you get for your house and put up is another one of the best parts. Christmas decorations make it a little more jolly around Christmas.

Snow and Hot Chocolate

Snow is so fun to play in from snowman to igloos it is pure joy. The best things to do in snow are making snowmen, doing snowball fights, sledding, snowboarding, skiing, and making igloos and snow forts. Another great part of Christmas is hot chocolate. It tastes amazing with creamers and marshmallows. After playing in the snow and coming home to drink warm hot chocolate with marshmallows as you feel the cold melt away. That is another reason why it makes Christmas so great.

Christmas Movies and Songs

Christmas movies are so much fun to watch. For example, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Home Alone, and Elf are a few of the best Christmas movies ever. Next are Christmas songs, there is nothing better than listening to a good Christmas song I could listen to them for hours! The best Christmas songs are the ones that are in Christmas movies. Without Christmas songs and movies the holiday wouldn’t be the same.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Christmas is great. Christmas is great, because you hang out with friends, family, and loved ones, there are presents and Christmas decorations. There is snow and hot chocolate, Christmas songs and movies, and so many more things. These are the reasons Christmas is so great.

How to build a custom PC

How to build a custom PC

Are you wondering how to build a Custom PC? Well, you are in luck, today I am going to show you how to build a custom pc. First, you have to understand what PC you will need.
Uses for a PC
There are multiple reasons that you would want a PC, Video editing, Accounting, gaming. For example, a Video editor would prioritize CPU power to handle those heavy loads of Video rendering. An accountant or just a person with a job that requires amounts of Multitasking would prioritize RAM. And a gamer would prioritize GPU to handle the graphical intenseness of games.
Putting the Motherboard together
Now that you know what PC you are using this for, we are going to start the process of building the PC. The first step to assembling the motherboard is to set the motherboard on a non-static surface so the components do not get damaged. I recommend the box of the motherboard, as it offers a free test bench and a static-free surface. Once you have the motherboard on the box, you need to unpackage your CPU. Installing a CPU is very critical as if you bend one pin on the CPU, the PC will not boot up, and you break the CPU. First, you undo the latch and take off the plastic piece covering the socket. Now you’re ready to align the CPU to its socket.
It is important to know that you touch the CPU by the corners, and never touch the front or back of the CPU. To align an Intel CPU you need to align the Processor pin one, with the socket pin one. To Align an AMD Ryzen Processor, you need to align the Triangle on the processor with the triangle on the motherboard socket. Now keep in mind, that you cannot install an Intel Processor in an AMD motherboard and vice versa. Now that you’re CPU is aligned you gently lower the CPU in the socket, with no force at all. Then you lower the latch locking the CPU in place. Now it is time to install the CPU cooler.
Depending on what type of cooler you have, whether it’s an AIO cooler or the stock cooler that comes with the CPU. For this demonstration, I will be showing you how to install the stock cooler. To install the cooler, you need to remove the bracket on the motherboard. and put the cooler on the CPU Thermal paste is pre-applied so you do not need to worry. Tighten the screws in a diagonal formation to prevent chipping the motherboard. And now you’re CPU is installed. Next to install is the RAM.
All you have to do to Install the RAM is to line up the notch in the stick of RAM to the break in the slot. Set the stick into the slot and then apply pressure onto the stick until the clamps on the side click and lock the RAM in. You may have to apply a fair amount of pressure, but never force it in. Make sure that if you have 2 sticks of ram, you need to install them in the dual-channel formation.
How to put Motherboard and Case Together

The first step to put the motherboard in the case is to install an IO shield. To install the IO shield you’re going to push with a fair amount of pressure until all corners of the shield pop in the back of the case. Once you have done that, you’re going to get the motherboard and align it with the standoffs and place it down on the standoffs. Make sure that the IO shield and the motherboard are perfectly aligned. Next is to just screw in your motherboard into the standoffs you aligned before. Once you’ve done that you have successfully put the motherboard in the case. Now the PSU
Now take off the back panel and you will see where the PSU has to be. Before you place the PSU you have to take off the bracket that goes on the back of the PSU. Then you insert the PSU in the back of the case. Now that the PSU is in the case, you plug the cables into the motherboard.
First, you plug in the 24 pin CPU to the motherboard, then you plug in the 8 pin connector to the motherboard. Now is the time you install the hard drive into the case. Find the hard drive cage in the case and place your hard drive there. Then take your SATA cable and connect it to the hard drive from the PSU. Then the SATA cable from the hard drive to the motherboard. Congrats! You’ve installed the hard drive. Next is to plug in the case cables to the motherboard,
Take your case cables and locate the cables that power your system, based on your motherboard’s manual plug in the power cables into the right pins. Next, USB headers, based on what generation the USB is, find your motherboards GEN 1, GEN 2, or GEN 3 and plug it in there. You’re almost done, now to install the GPU
To install the GPU is simple, undo the brackets on the case by the PCIe slots. Like RAM, to install the GPU you align the slot with the notch and gently push the GPU in the x16 PCIe slot. Make sure you install the Graphics card on the highest x16 PCIe slot, this will allow the best performance on the GPU.
Congratulations you have just built your first custom PC!
