Top Eight Ways To Prevent Getting The Coronavirus And What To Do

Top Eight Ways To Prevent Getting The Coronavirus And What To Do

If we want to get rid of the Coronavirus as soon as possible, we’re going to have to do our part in the enviroment. These next following Eight steps can keep us clean and healthy.

1- Wash Your Hands

Washing your hands can boost your health and you’ll have less of a risk of getting COVID-19. Globally, 4/5 humans don’t wash their hands after using the bathroom. The Website, “cdc.gov” states that handwashing ccan help the spread of germs. It specifically states, “Handwashing with soap removes germs from hands. This helps prevent infections because: People frequently touch their eyes, nose, and mouth without even realizing it. Germs can get into the body through the eyes, nose and mouth and make us sick.” Wahsing hands can save lives and keep you safe from diseases and viruses.

2-Avoid Close Contact With People Who Are Sick

If someone you know is sick, you probably shouldn’t hangout with them. If one of your family members is sick, try to stay away from them while they are sick and while they’re recovering. If you get sick, be considerate of the people your around and the enviroment you are in. If you sneeze and cough without covering it up, you can spread germs to others more easily, causing them to get sick as well.

3- When You’re Sick, Stay Home Except For Medical Care

If you have the symptoms of COVID-19, stay home. This can seem really over-protective but if a dealthy virus is getting spread around the world, and thousands of people are dying plus you having symptoms for it, you should stay home. If you need to see the docters, you should go and seek medical help, then go straight home after.  If you do this, you can get over the sickness faster.

4- Stay Informed About The Current Coronavirus Situation

If you stay informed about everything that’s happening then you don’t really have to worry about the Coronavirus. It helps to know what’s going on so you can know how to help yourself stay safe and healthy.

5- Take Care Of Your Emotional Health

Epidemics can be a stressful time for Adults and for kids. Espicially since kids respond a lot differently to different levels of stress than adults do. Make sure to say pyshically healthy, but more importantly, stay emotionally healthy. Make sure your not stressed, along with loved ones, friends, and even pets. If we do this together, it will go away faster.

6- Don’t Hang Out With Friends Still

This one is the most hard for teenagers and older kids. But, the reason we don’t go to school anymore, is to stop the spread of the coronavirus. So, hanging out with our friends really defeats the purpose. If we wait for however long our governer and President Trump tell us to stay in isolation, we can get over this virus quicker. But if we keep hanging out with people and getting more people sick, the longer we have to stay in quarantine for.

7- Ask Questions

If you have questions about what is going on, how to prevent it, what to do to help, ask someone for help. There are always people how want you to learn from these experiences and are wllingto help. There are plenty of Youtube videos that health officials have sent out and plenty of good real articles that can help with questions.

8- Clean Up Surfaces Often

Diseases can live on surfaces for a long time. The Coronavirus can live on Fabric from a couple hours, to multiple days. If we aren’t careful enough with cleaning up and wiping down commonly used surfaces, COVID-19 can spread a lot faster. Make sure to clean down objects like Door Knobs, Countertops, Devices, Bathrooms, and many other surfaces and objects.

Dog Or Bear?

Dog Or Bear?

Dog Or Bear?
When you get a dog, it should be a happy moment, and it was until they started noticing that something was wrong with it.
Su Yun was just like any other mom. She loved her kids, was hard-working, and her life was action-packed. She thought her hands were already full while raising her kids, family time, and spending time with her husband. Su Yun and her family were living in China, specifically in the southwest province of Kunming City. Her and her family’s lives were relatively normal until they were going to add another member to the family – a pet. They all thought that this would be fun, but little did they know that this decision would put their whole family on the spotlight.
With families with young children, life can get pretty hectic. So Su Yun started planning a vacation. She started packing bags, helping the kids, and buying the snack, but no matter how much planning, something was bound to happen. After months had passed, they were finally on vacation and excited for what was to come. Suddenly they came across a litter of puppies that were up for adoption. The kids started begging their mom, and as you can guess, Su said yes. The kids had been begging for a dog for years, and Su finally caved in. Soon enough she was going to find out that she had a lot more on her hands.
The man who had sold the puppy to her had told her that the dog might grow very large. But that didn’t stop her and her kids. The seller told her that this dog was a Tibetan Mastiff. And that this dog could weigh up to 180 pounds and stand up to two feet tall. That’s one big puppy. Su and her family decided to name their dog “ Little Black,” referring to his pitch-black fur, and partially irony because they knew that he was going to get so big. This name might have sounded weird in English, but in Chinese, it was super cute. But they didn’t know that in the future, this could get them into legal trouble.
The family continued to fall in love with Little Black, but once they got home, they needed to think of a way to raise it. But as time passed, they started to see some strange behaviors. One day when Su got home, she found Little Black in the kitchen, standing like a human! Sure it was normal for a dog to stand like this for a couple of seconds, but he had been standing there for probably about 5-10 minutes. He started having a tremendous appetite, which consisted of a full box of mixed fruits and about two packs of noodles. Probably any dog who ate that would have been sick and go see the vet, but not Little Black. This kept happening, and Little Black started having a bad temper, so Su Yun started to research and the results were terrifying.
After researching this behavior, the result was scary. She found out that she had been caring for a Black Bear! She had no idea what to do, she had been caring for a Black Bear for two years. Su found out that raising a black bear in china meant that they could go to jail, so she knew what to do. Without being able to transfer the bear to another home, she had to call the authorities. No one knew what would happen, but luckily she was able to avoid jail because she didn’t know it was a bear. But everything turned out okay. Su was able to avoid jail and Little Black was able to stay at a reserve. But no one had to worry anymore. Little Black’s backyard days were over.

Coral Reef Bleaching

Coral Reef Bleaching

Coral Reef Bleaching

Have you heard of coral reef bleaching? Coral reef bleaching occurs when high water temperatures kill the tiny organisms that live inside the coral structures. This causes the coral to lose its color and become a ghost white color. The coral can gain its color back however that takes lots of time, and we are running out of time.

What Coral Reef Bleaching Is Doing To The Great Barrier Reef?

The biggest coral reef in the world/ the Great Barrier Reef now has less color than the Caribbeans.

The great barrier reef just experienced its third mass bleaching over a course of five years. This one is said to have been its most widespread bleaching that has ever happened.

The Great Barrier Reef has lost half of its coral in the past forty years because of the water temperatures rising.

Why Are The Water Temperatures Rising?

The water temperatures are rising due to humans. Our cars, trains, houses, airplanes, and factories are putting off harmful emissions into our atmosphere. Those emissions are putting off the heat and the heat is getting trapped in our atmosphere, very little of those emissions are able to escape the atmosphere. This is causing other bad things to happen like our glaciers are melting.

What Will Happen If Things Do Not Change?

Scientists predict that if we do not handle climate change soon all of the coral reefs will be dead by 2100.

Our coral reefs manage how much co2 there is in our oceans, without them there would be too much co2 in the oceans and that would affect the whole world.

Our coral reefs have thousands of species living in them. These species rely on the reefs, without them they would die, and we would have thousands of marine animals go extinct.

How We Are Helping Restore The Great Barrier Reef & Other Reefs

Researchers have found that if you help restore one small part of the reef it will help other parts of the reef meaning it is all connected. This is good and bad, it’s good because that means we can restore the reef faster, but it’s bad because that means the reef could also die faster if we don’t do something soon. Divers are also going down to the reefs and doing coral transplants giving the reefs another chance to thrive. We are also trying to reduce the number of emissions that are going into the atmosphere by having electric cars and trains.

Earthquake

The earthquake had a magnitude of 5.7 it knocked out the state’s hotline for the Coronavirus Wednesday, March 18 a bit outside of Salt Lake City The earthquake started after 7 am. It was the largest earthquake for a long time in Utah. The last big earthquake was in 1992. As a result of the earthquake, many people had to evacuate the area at the department of Health call centers, as the COVID-19 line went down. They made a temporary line so they can still help people with the virus “1-844-442-5224” Also the employees had to leave the building and take calls outside until it was safe for everyone. Also, the flights in Salt Lake City were diverted, and everyone had to evacuate so they could make everyone safe. As the electricians want to see what was damaged. And after everyone gathered outside to talk about the shaking, because Utah hasn’t had a big earthquake in years. Also after the earthquake, they told people in the downtown area to stay away and fix the damage. With the corona virus and the earthquakes, everyone was terrified. Going back to the power outage there were 10,000 customers without power for the coronavirus.

Utah earthquake: 5.7 magnitude earthquake hits Utah

Airport reopens

The airport reopens Wednesday, but before they double-checked to make sure it was safe to go inside and take off. But since the corona virus was going on it was easier to get everyone evacuated and back up and running. The first flight departed at 3 pm going to Dallas. The runways and taxis were not damaged but the planes went on a detour when the earthquake was going on and after the earthquake. When they said it was safe for the passengers to go back on a plane back to Utah.

Aftershocks

After the earthquake, they had to check and see if any of the roads were damaged a lot. Thankfully there was not a lot of damage. They had to close a couple roads to check for anything that might be in the way. There were 7 aftershocks recorded /after the main earthquake struck. In closing a 4.6 aftershock Wednesday afternoon. Usually, earthquakes over 5 happen every 10 years, and earthquakes over 6 happen every 50 years. This event was very memorable and scary that Utah hasn’t had an earthquake in a very long time. This is why being prepared for earthquakes is extremely important.
