First and most easiest, is to start with a box cake mix of any flavor. Depending on what flavor you choose, you might want to have a different kind of frosting, like chocolate, lemon or strawberry. You can start to make your frosting after the cake is put in the oven and the timer has been set.

When making frosting you want to know what you are trying to do on the cake. Whether it is a fancy design or a drizzle, you should always be prepared. In case you are doing a drizzle/drip on your cake, the best place to get drip is at Hobby Lobby, either in store or online. I would suggest going to the nearest store to get cake drip.

First you need to find a recipe that works for you, and is easy enough. Some of the time you can get a bad recipe, which causes the cake to get ruined. Most of the time you will need butter, and powdered sugar. Here is a recipe that is the best frosting ever, and there is no problem with it. It is not too liquidly, not too firm, and tastes amazing.

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 2 cups of powdered sugar, sifted (Sifting is optional)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 3 drops food coloring, or as needed (Optional)

Step 1

Cream butter in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment until smooth and fluffy.

Step 2

Gradually beat in powdered sugar until fully incorporated.

Step 3

Beat in vanilla extract into the bowl.

Step 4 

Add milk and beat for an extra 3 to 4 minutes.

Step 5

Add food coloring, in the event of using, and beat for thirty seconds. Or until smooth or until the desired color is reached.

Step 6

For chocolate frosting, add about ½ or ¾ of a cup of cocoa powder. For lemon frosting us one whole lemon

Reminder

Use immediately after making. Or store buttercream in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. If you want the buttercream the next day, take the bag out of the refrigerator the next day right as you wake up. The frosting will need time to get to room temperature before decorating.

 

After you have made your frosting and your cake has come out, you want to cup off the bump on the top. Next you will connect how many cakes you made with frosting in the middle. After that you will do a crumb coat, which is a layer of frosting that will make it easier to have a smooth finish. Next, chill the cake in a refrigerator.

Once you have gotten the cake out, the frosting should be ready. You will do a second layer where after you will chill the cake once more. When the cake is out and chilled, you can start to do your design of the cake.

When piping a cake you want to make sure that the bag is secure and it doesn’t have too much frosting. The best trick for the exact purpose of getting frosting into a piping bag is to put the bag with the tip in a tall cup. Next, you will start to fill the bag with frosting. To sum up everything that has been stated so far, baking and decorating a cake can be fairly easy as long as you follow the steps/directions. In the end baking is amazing and fun, it is also a good learning experience. Baking should always be fun and never a chore.

This Thanksgiving, make dinner right. This Thanksgiving you should have certain things on your table that most people love. So put these on your table. (This is my opinion about some of these foods so if you like or don’t like them then don’t be offended.) and if every time you set your table and there’s not enough room on your table for people and food.No problem I might be able to help.

 

Things to have

Many things are just essential to a succesful Thanksgiving, and one of them is a turkey, of course. Along with turkey have mashed potatoes and gravy. mashed potatoes and turkey just belong together if you have one you should have the other. Another thing to have on the table is green bean casserole because why not. More foods you should have on the table are stuffing, cornbread, a salad, and a raspberry dessert with cool whip, and frozen raspberries. A very simple side or dessert. One more thing to have on your table is roles with butter and jam. You don’t even need to put jam on the roll, you can make a turkey sandwich. Or eat it however you want.

 

Things you can keep off the table 

Some things you can leave off your table at thanksgiving can be beets. Almost everyone I know doesn’t like beets. So why waste money on them when nobody eats them. Another thing you can leave off the table is peas. Not many people like peas. One way to find out what to keep off the table is to see how many people like not-so-popular foods. Another thing to keep off the table is canned cranberry sauce. Honestly, I did not know what cranberry sauce was until I watched a show on T.V. That’s how unpopular it is. You also don’t need sweet potato casserole. Who puts marshmallows on a potato?

 

Desserts to have on the table

A very basic dessert that is essential to have is a pie. There are many types of pie to buy; Pumpkin pie, Banana cream pie, chocolate pie, and pecan pie. Another dessert to have on the table is what I call raspberry fluff (recipe at the bottom). Another dessert to have is homemade pudding with homemade whipped cream. Put the putting in a small cup with a blob of homemade whipped cream and it’s ready to serve.

You could even make small pies. The store has a tiny pie crust and you can take your leftover pie fillings and make them small. Another easy dessert to make is “easy homemade apple hand pies”

Ways to set your Thanksgiving table.

If you always have trouble trying to get all of your Thanksgiving food on your table and still have room to eat. then I might be able to help. If you have a long table then place the turkey in the middle then put some sides around the turkey. Then on the kitchen counter put the desserts. then you should have room for your plates as well. If you have a round table then place the turkey in the middle. Then on your counter put the sides and some deserts.

Raspberry fluff is a delicious dessert. you take a big bag of frozen raspberries and dump half of it into a bowl. Then use half of a half and smash them then put them all together and mix them then add a tub of cool whip and mix. It should look like a pink cool whip with some chunks of raspberries.

Which I think is prettier than the other ones and, it had a Halloween feel with it. One of my family members does not like chocolate, so I thought they could enjoy it as well. You, too, can substitute the chocolate, and you can do it with more than just candy corn. Swap it with marshmallows, conversation hearts, supermini brownies, fruits, and many more. 

I admire the way they presented the cookie recipe in the instructions. The recipe was super simple to follow too! The cookies smelled super good. While they were cooking, my mouth was watering from the smell. When I took a bite of the cookie, it melted in my mouth and tasted wonderful. It was certainly good.       

Next up is Party Vegan’s article. The cookie tasted unusual, and it had a strange taste from my point of view. This cookie doesn’t taste like a typical cookie. I was truly eager to make it, but it just tasted gross. I was very disappointed. It just tasted like a ripoff. Also, they didn’t alter the recipe ingredients that much, even though it changed the taste. It was crumbly too and was not soft or chewy. 

Personally, between the two recipes, I think you should make the first one by Christine Gallary because it is just simply a yummy cookie. If you like crunchy cookies, then the article from Party Vegan is for you, but if you like soft and chewy cookies, the article from Christine Gallary is for you. As you can see, there are lots of other kinds of cookies, so you should get out of your comfort zone and try to make different cookies.

Did you know that there is not just one brownie flavor? Here’s a list of a few new flavors. That you should go try!

Ice cream sundae brownie, chocolate chip brownie topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, and rainbow sprinkles- to me in my opinion it sounds like there is too much in one and it would be super sweet to me. So it probably would not be my favorite but I would still try it. 

Next, is a S’mores brownie topped with marshmallow glaze, melted Hershey, and graham cracker crumbles- I think this one would be interesting, good but interesting. I think it would be interesting because there is just a lot you could compare it to. Does it taste like a regular S’more or does it taste like creamy S’more’s ice cream? But I would probably try it. 

This one is called Strawberry shortcake brownie, this one just sounds disgusting to me, let’s see what’s all in it though. This Strawberry Shortcake Brownie is topped with creme fraiche, whipped cream, and macerated strawberries. This is one I do not think I would care about trying. It doesn’t sound like my favorite. 

This next one is called Maple Bacon Brownie, in it, it’s topped with maple glaze and crumbled bacon. I would try this one. I think it would be pretty good because the Maple bacon doughnuts are pretty good and I think it would be similar to that, just chocolatey.  

The next one is flavored “Cookie’s n Cream ”- bakers.com This one is a chocolate glazed brownie, topped with crushed Oreos, Cream cheese, and whipped cream. I think that it sounds like Blondies with an Oreo in the middle (if you haven’t had it before you should try it.) The Blondies with Oreo are good so I think this would be good too. I am a little bit confused though because in the article, for this specific brownie it just says cream cheese so is it like frosting or a block of cream cheese on top? Those were all the flavors. What one(s) would you try? 

 

Let’s talk about food science,

Typically when you are making Brownies especially you usually use unsalted butter or food oils stated Daniel Strats. Although there is a baker, food science perspective, who works at ‘Strats’ Food. He and the workers at Strats food use Margarine, shortenings, and oils. It says in the article that these few ingredients are “outstanding” substitutes for butter and food oils. It also says that when making brownies and the recipes ask for butter he says that margarine is a less important option, due to the typical brownies’ use of ingredients, which imparts the intense chocolate flavor. 

 

Brownie Creaming Tips

Most brownies are made with a creaming method, Daniel from ‘Strats’ explains that the dry ingredients in the recipe are blended without the liquid ingredients. Then without the dry ingredients, you combine the liquid ingredients. When blended, the liquid and dry ingredients are mixed to cream together. Crumbl Cookies of the week review

This week’s crumbl cookies were: sugared, chilled sugar, rice crispy, and Reese’s peanut butter cup. I tried them and I am going to tell you my opinion on them and if they are good in my opinion I am not that picky so let’s get rating cookies. I rated them all 1/10. Let’s start with Twix.

Twix:

First up is Twix. In my opinion, it didn’t taste like a Twix but it was pretty good. I gave it a 7/10 because the chilled cookie was good but it just didn’t hit the spot for me. I could probably eat half of the cookie but not the whole thing. But if you are true chocolate and a Twix fan this one is probably for you.

Chilled sugar:

Next up is the chilled sugar. I love this one, it is one of my favorites. A Lot of people don’t like it but it’s amazing to me it’s either you don’t like it or you love it. my family loves this cookie so we get it a lot. I gave it an 8.5/10 because it’s so yummy but has so much sugar and hurts my stomach sometimes from all the sugar but it’s worth it.

Rice crispy:

It’s time for the rice crispy cookie. It was very good and amazing. It didn’t taste like normal rice crispy. It was better. It was gooey and crunchy and just really hit the spot. I could definitely eat this whole cookie. I gave this one a 9.5/10. This one was probably my favorite now even though it is not really a cookie.

Reese’s peanut butter cup:

 Last is Reese’s peanut butter cup one. It was good. I guess it was a peanut butter cookie with peanut butter frosting with Reese’s peanut butter cups on top. It was just too much peanut butter stuff. I mean I like peanut butter but maybe not that much. I feel like it was still good but I couldn’t eat that whole cookie so I gave it a 6/10 for my reasons.

These cookies were great and crumbl is really hitting it off lately. It’s very popular right now and we all know why their cookies are so yummy and a new cookie every week! That is impressive. Twix, sugar, rice crispy, and Reese’s peanut butter cup were really great cookies, and hope you will try them too.
