I’d say the amount of bickering in my newest discord server is a lot more than it should be. With all of me and my friends’ contrasting backgrounds, fights are bound to happen. Today, I thought I would rank some of the arguments people have gotten into because they are actually really funny to look back on. I will rank them based on how entertained I was by them.

For background, there are 14 people in my server, including me, Jules, Ari, Livvy, Quinn, Nick, and Jullian. (Jullian is banned now, though.) I have blurred usernames, names, and even changed some names for privacy reasons.

Jullian Sucks!

I think possibly the worst argument that isn’t even funny to look back on is when I banned Jullian for the second time. (Yes, he’s been kicked and banned multiple times, all within the same two-day period.) This argument happened because Jullian was abusing the admin perms I gave him. He was adding random, scary people into the server. One of the accounts he added was actually one of his alt accounts, so after I had banned his main and his weird friends’, he started to beg me to add his main back.

This fight started fun because I was really just having a good time messing with him. Here are some screenshots:

It was all fun and games until a random person was added to the server, and they started mass spamming a racial slur. That was my last straw. I banned all of Jullian’s accounts, revoked his invites for the millionth time, and blocked him. My friends and I also removed him from our other group chat. What I hadn’t realized until after everything was over, was that he actually had threatened to add that last person, but I just hadn’t realized. Here is a screenshot of the threat that I didn’t put much thought into at first:

This occurrence was very scary, and nobody in my server has talked to him since.

“Heyyyy, Where You From, Man?”

Everyone in the server was talking, like usual, when randomly Quinn said “I think X (one of my nicknames) lives in either Denver or Salt Lake City.” Then this big thing started where I was like “girl, how did you limit my location down to those two places?” I didn’t confirm or deny what she was saying, but for a few weeks, Quinn, Jules, and Ari kept teasing and insisting that I lived in either Denver, CO, or SLC, UT.

Because I trust these girls and didn’t think they would be capable of doing anything with my information, I finally gave up and said “Alright, fine, I live in Utah.” I guess they hadn’t realized I had said this, because a few weeks later I told them about a concert I had been to and they looked up where the concert was and confronted me.

This was the only time I was laughing about the situation because I then watched them get into a fight about who asked who to google where it was, and try to embarrass one other about why they wanted to know.

Once Quinn finally figured out where I was from, she was willing to tell me how she narrowed it down to those two places. She said it was only because I stated what time it was for me once, and she then tried to think of what places are in that time zone. I was absolutely stunned that out of all the states and cities that go by Mountain Time, she only guessed two, and one of them was pretty close.

The Ones With Livvy

I had a hard time picking and choosing what fights to include on this list and where, and I think almost all the fights that I had been in with Livvy deserved to sit at number three.

Livvy is Jules’ younger sister, and because she’s younger than most of the people in the server, our opinions contrast each other a lot. Livvy and I tend to laugh at each other a lot and make fun of the dumb mistakes we make, but sometimes a little too harshly.

One of the fights that I look back on fondly is when Livvy and I found creative ways to call each other dumb and poke holes in each other’s points. Jules eventually had to break us apart. I’m thankful that this fight didn’t really hurt anyone and just felt like a game.

There was this other time though, where we both were being gate-keepy to Jules. Jules had changed her profile picture to an anime character right after all the guys in the server had said they liked anime. We got Jules to admit that she’s never watched anime and doesn’t have any interest in it either. I think Livvy started getting a little too gate keepy after a while, for someone who doesn’t watch anime herself. We then started feuding, but it all started fun.

Who do I like more?

I’d say the second most entertaining (series of) fight(s) I had ever been involved in in my server was when Jules and Ari were trying to make me pick one of them. To be honest, I have no idea why they wanted to know, maybe they both had crushes on me? Anyways, the reason this argument (which honestly lasted a few days) was entertaining was because I was really just messing with them the whole time.

In the group chat that we were in before my server, we always played classic rounds of truth or dare. It felt like almost every other dare or question I got had something to do with asking one of the girls out or picking one of them. Before we had even talked on discord, one of Ari and Jules’ friends would not stop asking me to pick one of them too.

The funniest part of this whole thing was when I finally told everyone “I don’t like girls, lmao, so I pick neither of yall.” They both went silent after they learned this information, and stopped teasing each other about me.

Mr. Steal Yo Girl

The story for this argument is about when Jules first started dating Nick. At the time, Nick wasn’t in our group chat or the server. Ari asked Nick if he wanted to join, and she made sure to mention me and Jullian being there. She then sent this series of screenshots to the group chat:

I could not stop laughing when I figured this out. He really thought I was gonna steal his girlfriend. To be honest, it all went to my head that someone thought I was a threat.

The arguments started because everyone was saying that Nick was being too overprotective.

A few days later, Ari sent these screenshots to the group chat:

That’s when I thought she was taking the joke too far, I didn’t think she should be messing with an insecure guy’s feelings this much. Luckily, Nick got her to crack and admit that it was a joke a few minutes later.

This was my favorite fight because of the chain of events that lead up to it, and because no one was really hurt in the end.

Why “Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day” is the Best Anime

In the past few years, I’ve seen many animes and read a handful of mangas, but nothing I ever engaged in immediately struck me as “the best,”-until I saw Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day. In fact, when I finished it, I started re-watching it less than a week later.

(Warning, this post contains spoilers for the show!)

Grief and how the Show Touches on Emotions

For starters, I love how the anime explores the elements of grief people may face. Everyone in the show blames themself in one way or another for Menma’s death. I feel many viewers can relate to this feeling of guilt, and it truly can be tormenting.

The reality of the situation is that Menma’s death was an accident, and while the series of actions by all the characters eventually lead to it, they couldn’t have predicted it and had no intentions of harming anyone. The position everyone was in was very tricky, and I think the show elegantly and realistically touched on it.

I thought it was very interesting that Anjo felt she was being selfish for wanting to help grant Menma’s wish because she thought she may only be doing it to get rid of her.

While that is a hard spot to be in, I love how the anime let those feelings exist without demonizing or celebrating them, because in real life they aren’t one way or another either.

A lot of people are so kind-hearted that they’re always checking themselves to make sure they couldn’t possibly be hurting anyone else. It’s tough to be that way because eventually, it leads to a willingness to hurt yourself if it means others will stay fine. I’m certain a lot of people could relate to that. I’m glad the bad aspects of mental health were represented in this show because they are nothing but realistic and may make people feel less alone.

Throughout every episode of the show, I was able to feel what the characters were feeling, it was greatly communicated, and even had me bawling for the entirety of the last three episodes.

The Side Plots are Just as Important as the Main Plot

What I appreciate the most from the show is how every little detail eventually matters. I find how everything comes together to mean something big in the end is pretty realistic. Life isn’t just a few things relating to one problem or situation, there’s always a bigger picture.

I loved how things from when Menma was still alive still affected the characters, even in the tiniest ways, five years after her death. Everything tied together in a big knot but it was somehow beautiful and understandable. The day of her death and the days leading up to it were very complicated, yet it didn’t seem like it at the time. The deeper meanings of each event meant so much to every individual character.

For example, the hair clip that Yukiatsu tried to give Menma moments before she died was a great plot device. Menma originally rejected it, but when her ghost wanted to say something to Yukiatsu years later, the first thing she said was “Thank you for the hair clip.” There was no way anybody but those two knew about it, and it’s what made Yukiatsu believe she may be back a bit more.

The hair clip also meant a lot to Tsuruko because she had found it on the ground a bit after it was rejected and thrown into the grass by Yukiatsu. It was the one thing she held onto and it made her feel so many things. For one, jealousy, then and even now knowing that Yukiatsu would never choose her. She even tries the on hair clip and wears a similar one later on in the show too.

I also think the blend of the side plots with the saddest points was great because it didn’t leave me bored or feeling stuck sad. It made the ending even more emotional realizing the weight of everything, and that they weren’t just facts.

The Ending

The ending of this show was the best I’ve ever seen. The way Jintan realizes Menma is about to go to heaven and why is crazy.

Throughout the whole show, Jintan and the rest of the group had been trying to grant Menma’s wish so she could pass on to heaven and be happy, but they hadn’t realized they accidentally granted it until it was too late. It was a shock to absolutely everyone.

The scenes following this news are very dramatic, and many heart-wrenching events occur.

“I made it this time, I was able to say goodbye this time.” Menma thinks to herself at one point.

When the screen blurs as Menma fades away, Jintan narrates the conclusion. The narration hints at Menma being reincarnated into a flower, as Menma had vocally believed in it and wanted to go to heaven to reincarnate to live amongst the friends once again. I thought this was a very nice reference to things mentioned earlier in the show.

“As the seasons slip by, different flowers on the sidewalk burst into bloom. I wonder what the name of the flower was that bloomed that one day. Smaller than the rest, it almost hurt to look at it. When I bent down to smell it, I picked up the scent of a long-ago summer- but that scent slowly fades away.”

I think the ending of this show was absolutely beautiful. I thought that how the editors had the intro and outro songs play during the most emotional parts was a phenomenal aspect of the whole experience. They were songs that viewers had grown used to throughout the show, and whether people were annoyed by or indifferent to them, the familiarity of the songs made the ending feel more personal and gave a larger sense of connection.

This anime is hands down the best one I’ve ever seen, and I encourage those who haven’t seen it yet to go watch it. It’s just a whole different type of experience, I never thought I would find sad animes entertaining but I really enjoyed this one.

Vladimir Putin is the most dangerous man on earth and why

Vladimir Putin is a very powerful man, and he uses his power for the worst. There are many reasons why he is considered the world’s most feared and dangerous man. I’ll be breaking down all of the reasons for you.

Vlad’s history with the KGB

The first big reason is his background. Vlad was an Ex-KGB. The KGB was a part of the Soviet Union and was used for gathering intelligence for the state. Although he may have spent most of his life behind a desk going through paperwork, he was provided with a lot of intelligence from the KGB although, the majority of the intelligence that was provided for Vlad was useless, some were very pivotal for Vlad himself. After Vlad had left KGB, he decided to run for president because of his political history. In 1999, Vlad was appointed as Prime Minister under President Yeltsin. At this point, Vlad was considered Yeltsin’s successor, President Yeltsin also openly considered Vlad as his successor many times. Fast forward a year, Vlad has been made president of Russia because Yeltsin resigned several months before the election. Right after Vlad won, he made a deal with the Russian oligarchs. The Russian oligarchs had incredible power over the country and were considered the most feared group in Russia at the time, so Vlad made a deal with them, saying that if they stood behind him, they could keep their power. Many of the oligarchs made a bond with Vlad and helped him to rule Russia.

Putin’s Power

Another big reason is his power. Vladimir Putin has the power to assassinate any man on the earth that talks bad about him and the way he rules. There has also been a lot of evidence against Putin that he was the cause of many of the Russian citizens’ deaths that spoke against him, and if you were to speak against Putin in Russia, consider yourself a dead man. He has links with a lot of dangerous people, and at any moment, you could be assassinated. He has his ways and ties, and if Putin wanted you dead, then you would be dead. Not only does Putin have the power to assassinate you, but he has the power to disassemble large regions of the world. Those large regions beaning Ukraine and Syria.

Nuclear Power

Lastly, Vladimir has lots of nuclear power. Vlad is not only a wealthy man but a dangerous one. He could single-handedly bring about the end of the world with his nuclear power. It could be a total nuclear Armageddon if Vlad wanted to release his full power. Many times, he has almost started World War III. The only reason it hasn’t happened is because of how feared he is by many Nations. Vlad is also accountable for many human rights violations in Russia.

Different Aesthetics

As you walk out in public, you will see many types of people. Some very well dressed, some barely dressed at all. From top to bottom, everyone is different. Aesthetic is the key word today, what different kinds of aesthetics are there?

The E-Girl aesthetic consists of lots of heavy makeup, such as winged eyeliner, blush, and sometimes heart stamps under the eyes. Dyed hair that is sometimes split into different colors. Hairstyles are either pigtails parted down the middle, or space buns. Accessories are lots of layered chains, fishnet, and thick black boots. Most of the time they wear layered black clothing. E- Girls don’t pair their clothing with much color but black. E-Girl is an abbreviation for “Electronic Girl.”

VSCO girls’ aesthetic is over sized t-shirts, usually with shorts. VSCO girls wear multiple scrunchies on their wrist. As well as putting a few on their Hydro Flask that they almost always have with them. They wear shell necklaces such as puka shells. The shoes VSCO girls usually wear are either Birkenstocks, Vans, or Crocs. As well as the “Fjallraven Kanken” backpacks.

VSCO girls have a very environmental personality, caring about sea life. They love to cover things with stickers, including their “Hydro Flasks.” VSCO stands for “Visual Supply Company.” Named after a photography app.

Soft Girl’s dress mainly in soft colors, such as pink or yellow. They wear plaid skirts and over sized sweaters. Soft girls love to accessorize, with clips, headbands, and bracelets. Their makeup consists of heavy blush, and lip gloss. They go for a cutesy feminine look.

The Dark Academia aesthetic is similar to school uniforms. Usually consisting of browns, tans, and darker colors. Dark Academia aesthetic clothes are blazers, sweater vests, plaid skirts, khaki pants, collared shirts, button ups, and denim jeans are not often worn. Rather skirts or slacks. Usually paired with more formal shoes. Generally paired with ties.

Cottagecore aesthetic is a lot of farmhouse fashion, such as, long sleeve ankle length floral dresses, cotton overalls, and laced up boots. Common colors that cottagecore aesthetic wear are pale muted warm tones. Very simple, but also brings off a fairy tale vibe. Very feminine.

Indie kid aesthetic is very bright and vibrant colors. Indie kids wear over sized jeans, large hoodies, and crop tops. Most common shoes worn are Vans, Air Force Ones, and Converse. Makeup is either bright or natural. Hair is worn however they want, usually natural. Jewelry is multiple bracelets and sometimes layered necklaces.

Skater girl aesthetic is loose fitting t-shirts and sweatshirts. Graphic tees layered with long sleeves. Comfortable mom jeans or loose fitting jeans. Skater girls typically wear flat shoes, such as Vans with sport socks. They also wear beanies, bucket hats and the classic wallet chain as accessories. Skater girls can rock the beanie all year round.

The Farm Girl aesthetic is about practicality; the style is popular throughout the United States even if you’re not a farmer. Their clothing is flannel shirts, lace sundresses, tank tops, blue jeans, any camouflage, always cowboy boots, can have baseball hats, trucker hats and cowboy hats. Their personalities are innocent, relatable and kind-hearted.

In conclusion, these are some popular Aesthetics. We’ve come a long way from having one style choice to now multiple. This is a great way for people to express their personality.

The Best Players in the NBA This Season

The NBA is one of the most entertaining things to watch especially when you are watching some of the best players do crazy plays. There are lots of really good players in the NBA, but some rise above the rest and that’s what we’ll be talking about today.

Wardell Stephen Curry II, or the “Baby Faced Assassin” is undoubtedly the best shooter of all time and makes a case for MVP every year winning it twice with the only unanimous MVP. So far he’s had a really good season averaging 25 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, and a steal per game which is some of the best stats so far this season. He is also playing for the team with the best record so far at 8-1.

KD is having an amazing season so far with the Nets, even though the team together isn’t doing the greatest, it might just have something to do with Kyrie, but that’s a different story. So far this season he is averaging about 30 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists per game which is crazy. He’s on a team with another big scorer in James Harden, so if they both score a lot the Nets could be a threat.

Jimmy Butler

Jimmy “Buckets” Butler is another player having a really good season, with stats that aren’t as good as KD, but still, some of the best in the league, averaging 25 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals per game. Butler is on a Heat team that looks really good so far this season at 7-3 with the best record in the East.

Paul George

“PG-13” is having a career year so far averaging about 27 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2.5 steals a game, all of those are his best career stats except for his points because in 2018 he averaged 28. He’s playing for the Clippers who have won 5 games in a row and seem to have got things going.

LeBron James

“The King” always makes a case for MVP and so far this season he’s continuing that averaging 25 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, and a block a game. The Lakers are always a championship contender, especially when you have one of the best players of all time.

Trae Young

“Ice Trae” entered the league only four years ago and has already impressed everyone. So far this year he continues to impress averaging 24 points, 3 rebounds, 9 assists, and a steal per game. He’s currently playing for the Atlanta Hawks who haven’t been very good so far this season at 4-8 and their loss total is double their win total.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

“The Greek Freak” is having a really good year on a not-so-good Bucks team so far. They are below .500, but Giannis is averaging 28 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks per game, he’s a double-double machine! Giannis isn’t just getting rebounds because he’s tall, he’s also very athletic and good at boxing out.

Luka Dončić

Luka is another player having an outstanding year so far in his fourth season. He’s averaging 25 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and a steal per game. It’s not his best stats, but they are still really good and very close to his best. He’s had one of the biggest moments in the NBA so far this season when he drained a 3 pointer to put the Mavericks up by 3 on the Celtics with only a few seconds left in the game.

James Harden

“The Beard” isn’t having the best season of his career, but still has good stats. He’s averaging about 20 points 8 rebounds, 9 assists, a steal, and a block per game which is still really good. The only problem with how he’s playing is that he’s not getting the same fouls called that he was getting before, so he isn’t getting nearly as many points, but he’s still shooting really well from the field.

DeRozan is having one of his best seasons averaging 27 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and a steal on the year. His best game so far was when he had 38 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists, a steal, and a block.

Nikola Jokić

“The Joker” is having yet another MVP-worthy season averaging, 26 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists, a steal, and a block. He’s the reigning MVP and had an amazing year last year and is just continuing that this year.

The Best and Worst Teams in the NFL

A little less than two-thirds of the way through the NFL season there have been some teams that have been bad, and then there have been teams that have turned things around, we are going to be talking about those teams, as well as the teams who have been good throughout the entire season.

The Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions are by far the best team in the NFL this season. I’m just kidding, of course, they are the worst team in the NFL, and through 11 weeks still don’t have a win. The Lions have been extremely close to winning several times against the Browns, the Steelers where they ended up tying at 16, and the Vikings and Ravens where they lost 19 to 17 in both. Hopefully, the Lions can get a win because it’s starting to get sad.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs started the season struggling with a 3-4 record, but have now won 4 games straight and have the best record in the AFC West at 7-4. This year Patrick Mahomes had his first game where he didn’t score a touchdown and that was the game against the Titans where the Chiefs only scored 3 points in a blowout loss.

Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals have been one of the best teams in the NFL this season, with a 9-2 record so far. Their only two losses so far are to the Carolina Panthers and the Green Bay Packers. They barely lost to the Packers by 3 and lost to the Panthers in a blowout loss by 24. The Cardinals have the current best record in the NFL and that could continue throughout the rest of the season. They have two more games that we expect to be close, one against the Rams and one against the Cowboys.

Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers are the second-best team in the NFL coming off an 8 point win over the Rams in a close game. They have the second record in the NFL at 9-3, only a half game back of the Cardinals, and beat Arizona earlier in the season. Their most difficult game left on their schedule is against the Baltimore Ravens which is the current best team in the AFC.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens currently have the best record in the AFC and are a half game ahead of the Patriots and a full game ahead of the Chiefs who have turned their season around. They may not have the best record in the AFC though because they have one of the toughest remaining schedules in the NFL. They have remaining games against the Browns who they beat by 6 this week, the Bengals who they are one game ahead of, the Packers who have been one of the best teams this year, and the Rams who are another really good team. If they can’t win those games they may not end up being on top of the AFC North.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccs are one of the best teams in the NFL as always with an 8-3 record and are on top of the NFC South, it seems that Tom Brady is always on a really good team that has a chance at going to the super bowl. Their remaining record is fairly easy with their most difficult game being against the Bills who have been struggling lately.

Crazy things are happening everywhere, and even crazier crimes. The stereotype is the Florida man, in Florida, it is a law that if people violate the law the crime must be put out on the news. Because of that law, there are crazy funny stories, but sometimes not all the crazy funny crimes happen there.
The crazy stuff can be like someone trying to use spaghetti sauce to light a house on fire which did happen. Anyways, here are some of the crazy crimes people have committed.

Got Gum?

In Utah, on November 1st, 2021, a man broke into a vehicle to get some gum. A video from inside the car shows the suspect breaking into the vehicle. The man had a flashlight, he started looking throughout the car for something. He opened the middle console and pulled out a pack of gum. After opening the gum container he poured out its contents and started looking around the vehicle again. The police don’t know what else he was searching for, maybe candy or more gum? The man left empty-handed, well except for the gum, and he went on his merry way. Police are still looking for the suspect, they shared the video hoping someone will find the suspect.

Pizza With A Side Of Crazy

Next, most people love pizza, but this man was not having it and shot at the pizza place. On November 14, 2021, Two men entered a Papa Johns in Draper Utah. The men had previously ordered over the phone and were there to pick up the order. The employee told the men that the call-in orders were not showing up because the system was down. The employee told the men they could replace their order because the order they made over the phone wasn’t working. The men became angry and started swearing at the employee. The employee asked the men to leave but they refused, so the employee called the police. The men left after the employee called the police. A few hours later the employee heard gunshots and the glass windows shattered, it was the two men. They called the police and the two men were then taken into custody.

Roller Coaster On A Roll

Third, on August 28th, 2019, In Ohio, someone loved a roller coaster ride so much they stole it, in broad daylight! The Go-Gator roller coaster was yanked from the Union County Fairgrounds. A white pickup truck then attached the ride to the truck and drove off with the kid’s ride in broad daylight. The man was spotted with a traffic camera, but nothing about the suspect was revealed. The ride is 20ft long, 30 years old, and worth $35,000, according to the retailer. However, it is more valuable to the people that live near the area. The residents claim to have ridden that ride for many years, it is a very special ride to them. It was never specified if the suspect returned the roller coaster or if the suspect was caught.

Watermelon Robbers

Finally, on May 5th, 2020, Two men hollowed out watermelons and wore them as face masks on Tik Tok. They then went to a local store wearing the watermelon masks and had a conversation with some of the workers. After the video was posted a few hours later two men wearing the melon masks robbed some booze from that same store. A little while later a Facebook post was put out that if anyone had seen these men they should contact the police. In conclusion, you shouldn’t commit crimes, they are dangerous and can lead to terrible consequences. These people will most likely spend a couple of years in jail for what they did. Though it is funny hearing about things like this happening it is still really, really bad. Just remember that you can go to prison for these things, as silly as they are, the consequences are not very forgiving. So please, don’t do things like this because it can lead to disastrous endings.

Are you bored at your sleepover and you have nothing to do? Well, there is stuff to do but you are just not thinking about it. That’s what I will be telling you in this article. There are so many fun things to do like build a fort, have a dance party, have a bake-off, prank call your other friends, and have a movie marathon.

Building a fort

Building a fort is so fun you can make your little place to hang out and you have to work as a team. Forts are fun because you have to get creative and crafty.

You can use so many different things. And it can make a cozy bed for you and your friends that are sleeping over. This is a really fun thing to do I don’t know why I love making forts so much but it’s just so fun and I hope you can enjoy it just like me.

Dance party

Next is to have a dance party. You can play all your and your friend’s fav songs and sing and dance. Two people can be the judge and the other people

will freestyle their hearts out. You can make it serious or fun and silly. You have to have those memories I feel like. When you are older you can remember your dance party and how fun it was!

Bake-off

Now it’s time for a bake-off! You can have teams or just yourself it can be like nailed it or any other baking competition. You will have something to bake and then you have to decorate it. Everyone will judge and this is how that will work so first everyone will try the dish except the ones who made it and everyone will write down a score and then combine the score. you score it on taste and how it looks. Whoever has the most points wins!

Prank call

Prank call your other friends! Well, you have to find someone that

at does not have their number or do the special trick so they can’t see your number. Don’t call a number that you will get in trouble. It’s so fun to prank call just make sure you don’t screw up and laugh or talk nonsense. Have a plan on what you will say. Don’t be like guys what do I say what do I say that ruins it. This can give you guys the laughs and when you laugh you can’t stop on a prank call.

Movie marathon

Next up is a movie marathon. You go to the store and buy candy and snacks because you will need snacks to keep you in the movie. Make sure you are nice and comfy with tons of blankets and pillows and you and your friends can wear matching pj’s. Let everyone choose what movie they want. There is one rule with

this one don’t fall asleep. You don’t want to be that person that’s like I have a soccer game. I need my sleep or you just fall asleep if you do then you give your friend permission to do your makeup and take pictures of you.

Now I gave you some ideas on what you can do. I know the feeling when you don’t know what to do and you guys are bored so that’s why I wrote this. I hope you use one of my ideas and have a great sleepover.

Softball is a very popular sport! Lots of people enjoy playing it. There are 65 million people that play softball around the world! Here are some facts and history about softball!

History

The history of softball is very interesting! The man who created softball was George Hancock. It all started in the Farragut Boat Club in November 1887. He was at a Yale football game. Yale had defeated Harvard and when somebody heard that they got so excited that they threw a boxing glove at another student and the other student tried to hit it with a stick! This gave George the idea of a new game! George wanted to play indoor baseball but with a bigger ball. Other people just thought that he meant outdoor baseball but he certainly did not. He used what he could and tied the laces of a boxing glove to use as a ball. To mark the bases, home plate, and where the pitcher should stand he used chalk. Soon later that sport grew and many people started to play it. After more people started to play it George took the game outdoors where other teams would go against each other. Now more than 65 million people play softball around the world!

Facts

There’s a lot of facts that you may not know about or probably already do because some of the facts are already well known. The first official game of softball was in 1887. It was an indoor game as well. Before softball got its name it was called kitten ball. Then later the Minneapolis Park Board named it diamond ball. Softball then officially got its name in 1927. Softball is played in 140 countries! That’s insane! In the diamond field, each base is 60 feet apart from the other. That’s a little smaller than a baseball field because each base is 90 feet apart. In softball, pitchers pitch underhand and baseball pitchers pitch overhand. Also in baseball, pitchers always have to look behind them because runners can steal bases at any time but in softball, runners can’t do that. So softball pitchers are never looking behind themselves but baseball pitchers are. Baseball pitchers have to pitch on a mound which makes them stand up higher than softball pitchers because they have no mound. That’s all the facts!

Jennie Finch

Jennie Finch was considered one of the best softball players in the world. She was a fast pitch pitcher and a first baseman. Jennie started to play softball when she was 5! She is an Olympic gold medalist. She started to play for the Arizona Wildcats in 1999. She and her team got a gold medal in 2004 in Athens for the Olympic Games. In 2008 in Beijing for the Olympic games, they got a silver medal. Jennie has an N.C.A.A record for having 60 consecutive pitching wins over three seasons. Within those three seasons, she struck out people 1,028 times! Jennie could also throw at 70, which is 98-99 in baseball. Jennie Finch retired in 2010 at the age of 29.
