Here are my top five favorite sports to watch, and play. I will explain why I chose the sports I did, and why I ranked them that high, or low. By the end of this you will know my top five favorite sports, and probably will agree. So without further ado, here is number one.

Basketball

1: One is Basketball. This is the sport I play everyday, and know the in and outs of it. The speed, and pace of the game makes it very exciting. Also the aspect of being able to carry your team to a win, or work as a team makes it interesting. It is not a solo sport, but you can score completely by yourself. Also it’s a very popular sport. So yes, making it pro is much harder, but it makes it that much better. In addition, there are a lot of things you can do while playing this sport, which is really fun. Making a deep three, or swatting a shot away, etc, etc, is great. There is so much more I could say, but those reasons are why basketball is number one for me.

Snowboarding

2: Yep, it isn’t football. It has gotta be snowboarding. If I could snowboard everyday I would, but $$$. So that’s why It’s number two. Snowboarding is a whole experience, and I love it. (By the way, if I was a skier I would put it at the two also). For all mountain lovers it’s a have to. Being up in the mountains, but also adding a level of competition, and my own style is just awesome.  Snowboarding is like basketball, there are endless possibilities of what you can do. Plus, you can go pro, and make money! Snowboarding has its competitive aspect, with you also being able to just ride in your own way. So with all that being said, it’s gotta come in 2nd.

Hunting

3: This is kinda controversial because can you really count hunting as a sport? Now I don’t hunt for sport, and just kill the animal obviously.  When I put hunting as a sport, I see it more as an experience like snowboarding, or like a hobby. It’s something someone likes doing, and does it for the whole experience, while trying to get better at it.  There is not professional hunting officially, but there are very good hunters. The reason I like it so much is because you are up in the mountains, near wildlife, and overall the whole experience is something you really have to go do. There are different animals you hunt of course, but each one comes with its own challenge, and adventure. That is why I put hunting as the third sport.

Football

4: I had to put football fourth. It’s America’s game, and everyone watches it, including me. I used to play flag football, and that was fun. I also did a year of tackle. So I know the sport well, and I’m a fan of many teams. Also the physicality makes it so much fun to watch. Who doesn’t love watching a big football game with your family? In addition, being able to play the sport basically anywhere is great too. So that’s why football is fourth.

Hockey

5: This is the one sport I have not played competitively on this list. But I play for fun, and it’s great. I really enjoy watching hockey games, especially playoffs. The speed, physicality, and creativeness of the sport makes it a great sport. Playing hockey is as much fun, or more than watching. Also having the NHL to watch, and cheer for a team is awesome. Hockey is one of my favorite sports, and the culture it brings with it is sweet. But in conclusion, it’s still not better than any of the sports above it, and that’s why I had to put it at the five spot. 

So that is my list for my top five favorite sports. Hopefully you agree with me on this list, and understand why I put those sports where I did. All these sports are great, but some are better than others. 

Sources of strength

Sources of strength is a rainbow chart listing things that are most important in life. It has these 8 things: Mental health, Family support, Positive friends, Mentors,  Healthy activities, Generosity,Spirituality, and Physical health.

These things are a lot of the more important things in life to worry about. In this I will list the meaning in the sources of strength chart. And the definitions of it so people understand what it means. There are 8 in total so read up and get comfy.

MENTAL HEALTH 

Mental health is something  that a lot of teenagers and adults go through. The definition for it is. “a person’s condition with regard to their psychological and emotional well-being.” Mental health is very important because it can affect someone so much, even their normal life. Usually when someone is struggling mentally they will get more quiet. Zoning out or having anxiety attacks.  Or they are not as social as they were before.

Mental health is also with depression. Depression is a constant feeling of sadness and loss of interest with the hobbies you used to like. What causes depression is stress, anxiety and grieving. Let’s say to someone you lost that you’ve known for a long time and they die. You would feel a sign of depression. Because you are very sad that they died. Mental health is very important. In this generation because of  people’s minds and the way they work psychologically. Some sign of anxiety is when your leg shakes a lot or you’re very shaky. Having trouble sleeping, having sense or panic or doom.

FAMILY SUPPORT

Family support is someone who has services to help them. for example with education,food,home etc… And physical and mental services. This is a way to help people in need or they are struggling with something at home. Sometimes people lose their jobs. And they don’t have enough money to support themselves or their family. This helps with many family’s. Some families have people with disabilities. And can’t pay for the stuff that they need to be happy in their house hold.But sometimes they can’t pay for it.

POSITIVE FRIENDS

positive friends are a great thing to have when you are struggling. Sometimes it takes a long time to find a friends that is positive with you. A positive friend doesn’t talk bad about you If you tell them a secret they won’t tell other people about it. When you guys are hanging out they actually make it fun and they don’t do what they want to do. But they make ideas that both of you like.

For example let’s say that they want to go jump on a tramp but either person doesn’t want to do that. So they make you go do what they want to do, that is a Bad friend. But when they go jump on the tramp and then put what they want to do on hold so they can do what they want to do. and then you can do what they want to do without fighting. That is a good friend because they do what you want to do first because they are a Positive friend

They also can help you with whatever you are going through. Because they are good friend and you trust them a lot. You have to make sure that you find the right friends because some people look nice but are terrible on the inside. sometimes when you become friends with someone and they are nice at first. The more you get to know them and be around them and they talk bad about people,lying etc. That is not a good friend at all. You have to find the right way to try and find a best friend to be social.

MENTORS

A mentor is a person that can give you guidance and advice. They can also be new friends. traditional one-on-one mentoring. A men-tee and mentor are matched either through a program or on their own. Distancing mentoring. A mentoring relationship in which the two parties are in different locations.

Group mentoring is A single mentor who is matched with a cohort of men-tees. The power of being a mentor can help clarify what you need to do to meet expectations. How you need to prepare for evolution poses such as annual reviews. Tenure and promotion help you build skills. So a mentor helps a person have self confidence and give them advice for life.

HEALTHY ACTIVITIES

Healthy activities can involve you going outside and taking a walk or a run. It could be you going outside for even 5 minutes sitting there is good for you. Eating well is a good healthy activity. It can give you so many nutrients. A good activity is getting more sleep when you have a very bad sleep schedule. Getting more sleep can help a lot with the mood of the day.

If you do the smallest things can help you. It could do some yard work like mowing the lawn or pulling weeds is a good activity. dancing,swimming,biking,climbing stairs or hills, And playing tennis or basketball. Those are all healthy activities. So all of these activities can help you have healthy activities

GENEROSITY

This can be a person seeing the good in you or helping you with something you need. For example, When you are forgiving and gentle to people. you or someone else showing their generosity to you or someone else. If you give others help or credit, That shows generosity. The world would be a better place if more people showed generosity to others. This is not a long topic because a lot of people know about generosity and what it is.

SPIRITUALITY

Spirituality means. Knowing that lives have significance in a context beyond a mundane everyday existence. at the level of biological needs that drive selfishness and aggression. It also means if people believe in let’s say an outside force may be a higher power. But people can see spirituality as going outside and meditation around their surroundings. I don’t know a whole lot about this topic so this also isn’t as long.

PHYSICAL HEALTH

What this means is that what you do for your physical needs like walking, running and skipping. This could involve working out or going to take a pet out to go outside, maybe a sport with physical activity. Those are all good physical things you could do. in a state of well-being when all internal and external body parts. Organs, tissues and cells can work properly as they are supposed to work. That is the meaning of physical health 

As many people know the company Nintendo, a wide variety of online or non online games to pick from. To Super smash bros To Splatton, But have you ever wanted to play a new game or find some interesting one to look at. Here are the top 5 Nintendo games so far in 2024.

At number five we have Super Smash Bros.

A fun game where you can be a single player or a multiple player game where you get to fight, gain special abilities, and unlock characters to play.Your adjective at the game is to knock players off the fighting platform to increase the health bar and make them lose the match.

Super Smash Bros originally came out in 1999 in Japan on January 21, the original production was HAL Laboratory, HAL Laboratory now make characters or effects like Kirby or the dachshund dog very well known silly characters but they are very famous for Super Smash Bros.

At number 4 we have Animal Crossing: New Horizons

A game for building a cozy life and interacting with the friendly naborse in the animal crossing village. After moving to a deserted island and getting tasted by the raccoon, Tom nooks your character and you have to complete tasks and continue expanding your area to develop the island to accomplish the game. The game Animal crossing was originally found by Katsuya Eguchi and Hisashi Nogami, Before publishing animal Eguch and Nogami were originally going to make the name for animal crossing to “Dōbutsu no Mori ” (short for animal forest.) In my opinion and maybe for others I’m very glad they decided on Animal crossing.

At number 3 we have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

For all of the mario, princes peach, and toed fans im sure you will be quite interested to hear this. Your or the opponent collects unique abilities that stop each other from going past the finish line. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was formed in April, 2017 by DLC (Downloadable content).

And next for number 2 we got The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom 

A story line where zelda a( reincarnation of the goddess Hylia) and Link (counterpart who is destined to fight that evil and restore peace to the people of Hyrule.) travel in a cave where a poisonice like feeling falls around the cave cursing people to fall sick now link and zelda have to figure out what really is going on.

We talked about the top five games this year but you still don’t know what game that fully interests you. Well I have a game that might blow your mind because of how AMAZING the Splatoon series is.

 1 Splatoon

As an inkling you meet an old man named Captain cuttlefish, he says that the zap fish is missing and you are the only agent who can get it. You travel underground to face off the evil Octo Links to recover the zapfish and fight the boss. There are 1-20 levels in splatoon 1 and you only have 3 lives each station. Once you reach the boss you face the king “DJ Octavio” once you beat him you will get rewards and maybe go explore the inkopolis is a large city in Inkadia (also known as Greater Inkopolis) were you are greeted with the squid sister for the news ( if you go up to the screen for long enough they will wave at you.) The squid sisters are the famous idle group of two, they are actually cousins not sisters. Callie the younger cousin is a bright squid girl with so much energy and she is also known as Agent 1 for the great Splatoon break. Marie, the older cousin is more of the serious and sarcastic one who has a stubborn attitude but both of them together is a wish come true. Splatoon 1 is only made for the WII so some people dont play it as much because they don’t make the WII nor Spatoon 1, so if you  have both of those then you are one lucky squid. That is all the hints i will be giving so no spoilers for Splatoon 2/3.

    Welcome one and all to the 1st and 2nd best ranking of the century of Wings of fire!

Out of the first book, The Dragonet Prophecy, To The Lost Heir. Who is my favorite character and what is my favorite book. 

1. The Dragonet Prophecy.

Our first dragonet is a mudwing, clay.He was the first dragon to hatch out of the five. As a child he always claimed that he tried to kill his hatching mates as a newborn but really he was trying to help them out of their shell. As the first born to the mudwing culture he would be known as the bigwing to his family.The story starts as the dragonets want to be free from the rock they were born in and raised for 5 years and explore to save the world and pick 1 one the three queens to be the queen of sandwings. Burn, Blister, or Blaze. Two of the dragonets, Being clay and tsunami sneak out and find a small human with a sack of treasure that was stolen from a skywing. A short dark red queen with rubies between her eyes and a chest plate with gold chains covering half her body. That dragon is Queen Scarlet of the skywings. She claims she wants to put the dragonets in her arena to fight to the death but fortunately clay and tsunami free themselves and fly away to help get the rest of their friends out so they could all be free. When they get there and meet up with their friends, Queen Scarlet finds them and has her guards take them away to their arena when she finds them. When clay is on top of a long arena post he meets this deadly skywing named Peril also known as Queen scarlets champion. As more people get killed in the arena and glory does some deadly things to scarlet they manage to escape with peril’s help and unfortunately peril has to stay with scarlet but she told clay that when the war is over she would meet up with him. 

 Clay, a 7 year old mudwing male dragonet, with the ability to withstand fire in his scale and protect his friends no matter what the cost is, he will be there. 

2. The Lost Heir

   The story starts off as the main character, Tsunami of the seawings, lands on a small little island on sand. Sunny, The sandwing Hears wings flying around and when they hide tsunami jumps in the water and waits till the clear.

A day later after the hiding she wakes up before the other dragonets and finds another of her kind. A light blue male seawing name riptide. As she talks to him and demands he takes her and the dragnets to the queen because she claims she is the missing heir of the seawings. Riptide agrees and they travel to a hidden tunnel in the sea and make their way to the hidden kingdom. 

Tsunami and her friends reach the hidden kingdom and people are in shock. They whisper and claim that she really might be the lost princess of the sea kingdom and when they reach the top of the podium she meets her mother for the first time. Queen Coral of the seawings. She greets tsunami with open arms then later discovers that someone or something is killing queen corals daughter in the hatchery. It’s up to the tsunami to save the last remaining daughter of Coral. 

Will tsunami be able to complete her mission or die with her unhatched sister and fulfill the prophecy with her friends.

These are very tough things to do. Each character has both their ups and down but  my favorite character is Tsunami of the seawings. I love her stubborn traits and the way she acts.

I think her book is really thrilling and meaningful, especially with the love of her friends and family. Either when she thinks she is doing something wrong or wright she always thinks about her friends no matter what. So that is why i prefer The Lost Heir over The Dragonet Prophecy.
